Dash Force News caught up with @pablomp, the creator of the equations and website, about this newest development. He started off by describing the difference between regular Market Cap data and Fair Market Cap data. As a reminder, fair value is the “intrinsic or theoretical value of the coin according to its current usage” and modeled after how stocks derive fair value “from the discounted expected free cash flows” of that company.

I have currently been traveling through south american and Venezuelans are every where. Colombia, Mexico, etc.. They are all super desperate for money and a few of them that I've spoken with had or have heard of Dash.

That appears to be a flaw in the strategy of using Dash for remittances to VZ. If the expatriots don't have money to send, it doesn't matter very much if we can help save them money doing it.

The strategy seems to me to be to build a Dash community in VZ that will not ever cash out, so it will become a way to soak up liquidity and make it less likely that price will dump and make pumps more dramatic. The problem comes in that VZ is by most metrics a net consumer of wealth, not a producer, which means that most of that dash will eventually be cashed out as Venezuelans buy imports to survive.

Is there reason to believe Venezuela is becoming a net producer of wealth again? If so what is that reason?

Dude. I got a masternode. It's a huge investment for me percentage wise, so of course I am concerned about anything that affects it. I did sell ~10 dash @  $220 that had been piling up.   I say the negative stuff because ALL you get from the official sources is good news/propaganda.

I would be very interested in the underlaying formulas to determine the "fair" price. I totally agree that DASH is undervalued right now but I am always very critical for something like that in general. Why BCH is valued that high compared to Bitcoin is just random. And they are proposing many random coins quite high which most of them are not even delivering a network

I would be very interested in the underlaying formulas to determine the "fair" price. I totally agree that DASH is undervalued right now but I am always very critical for something like that in general. Why BCH is valued that high compared to Bitcoin is just random. And they are proposing many random coins quite high which most of them are not even delivering a network

Yes it really is, it's amazing, very well-coordinated team work. For a while no one could imagine that the project would get such a success, everyone kept saying that nobody would accept Dash - they were wrong. Success that you can envy.

I think this means that only masternodes (and miners?) running with latest protocol and latest version can be selected for payment from now on.
It is the final step in the update process towards v.12.3 (effectively the network has now safely forked / transitioned into v.12.3)

With regards to wallets, its always best to update to latest version. Its a small effort from user side and can provide
important bug fixes and more stability.
