who is the dev ? Who is behind Darkcoin ?

Unfortunately no one heard from Sauron for a while. Dont know who Sauron is, be he is not one of the developers. Its eduffield and myself that are the official developers. It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Much props to chaeplin. I believe this is the first guide. I was going to tackle it myself soon, but this looks like a great guide! Cheers! My only concern, Amazon EC2 isn't DDOS protected, or is it? With my firewall setup, all inbound udp denied by Amazone. SSH/22 opened to specific ip address. Only wide open port is 9999, iptables limit it. I think t1.micro(Ec2) can't handle DDOS, but can mitigate script kids. |

NP, Im not a LOTR fan. I went to the movies to see it when it came out and actually fell asleep. How could you fell asleep while watching LoTR??  This is one of the best movie I ever ever ever ever ever ... ... ever seen! Hobbit series are awesome too! Have you read the book? |

I don't want to start another round of branding discussions....but the one point about this which is not great is that they have gotten out there with PR and marketing. Their name may confuse some people when it comes to Darkcoin. It may not, but apparently some people are trying to redeem Bitcoin Scrypt on Coinbase thinking they have bitcoins. This might be good and bad for darkcoin. Just saying. |

Have the masternode payments been implemented yet or are they running for free right now? I would like to set my own masternode up but am unsure of how to do this. If someone could create a guide that would be wonderful. I don't want to lose my 1000drks!

Yes nodes are available. DNS seed and static ip seed. What is your os ? Removing peers.dat might be help. |
