Are the CPU miner links out dated?
None of them seem to work with current X11 pools.  It starts the threads for the CPU then kills itself without a crash or log.
Scrypt works however.  I am using -a X11

have the same but on coinmine.pl:6090 stratumeu works fine use all. One oof them works for me

Post in the forum mining section. https://darkcointalk.org/forums/mining.3/

I will help.

chaeplin it would be handy if your masternode count page listed the actual masternodes by IP. Because this would save me valuable seconds each day logging in to mine to see if they are still alive.  Grin

edit: or would this just provide a convenient list for DDOSers?  Undecided

Yes so no IP please ...

The information is out there for anybody to read anyways! just use darkcoind masternode list and there you have the IPs
same goes for the information of the current MN with darkcoind masternode current

Someone could just do the same thing chaeplin has done with darkcoind masternode count here (http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html) for a dynamic list of the masternodes.

You can monitor the current masternode for each block and output it on a website. So anyone can see which was the Masternode for which block. Like blockchain.info does with the bitcoin blocks and which pool mined them.

I know but why make it easy for them  Smiley

I may be wrong, but the daemon itself lists the masternodes, so... not really that stealthy to start off. It would be cool to be able to mask the public IP, no doubt.

But really, whats the problem? remote/local, local authorises server, local goes cold storage - no problem.

My only question is where do the payments to the masternode go with this setup? To the node, or the the local wallet?

I have the remote/local setup running for some time on testnet. All Payments go to the local wallet to the same address where the 1000DRK are!
I think as at it is open information anyways it would be nice to easily monitor it. Maybe a table which counts how many times each MN was selected etc... So that everyone can check if there is an error/someone managed to cheat the system or something like that.
IMHO if the information is public anyways then make it easily accessible!

I'm wondering if it's the pool that rejects it?

CINNI says they will start using a DarkSend like messaging feature. Thoughts on this? I thought DarkSend was all about transactions and not messaging?

Cache coin are waiting for DarkSend to go open source so they can make their new PoS with anonymity added.

Thought on masternode.

- Masternode is like p2pool.
- All Darkcoin client will know the list of Masternode's ip and pubkey.
- Greedy person will attempts to ddos Maternode.
- There will be a Masternode rig which a system has a lot of ip and decent ddos protection(1 ip = 1K DRK).
- Masternode should be monitored.
- Use obsecured Masternode ip list for monitoring page(123.xxx.123.123 or xxx.123.123.123).

getblocktemplate stopped working on the testnet. I get this error message
Code:
error: {"code":-1,"message":"CreateNewBlock() : ConnectBlock failed"}

Any idea what's going on?

BTW, I'm working on masternode support for p2pool.

Well, obviously more pools are needed...

Another thing - should I send my coins to a wallet address generated with the latest DarkCoin-qt wallet application? Or I just have to update to the latest version of the wallet?

I think you can just use your current wallet.dat file but you should use the new wallet software from 14 may.  So just replace the wallet.dat file I would say.

Any timeline on the new macwallet?

My DIY multipool system of mining another coin and buying drk is bloody hard work. been buying 2 DRK here, 0.9 DRK there.

So, its beer o'clock.

I'm giving the x11 port on the BlackCoin MultiPool a crack, based on estimates it should allow me to accumulate twice the amount of DRK... They are mining Badger at the moment...

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

I refuse to mine shitcoins on general principles.

62 masternodes! Bet there's 200+ by the 14th, and 500 by the 21st.

So, its beer o'clock.

I'm giving the x11 port on the BlackCoin MultiPool a crack, based on estimates it should allow me to accumulate twice the amount of DRK... They are mining Badger at the moment...

So:

* Go to blackcoin and download a wallet
* Mine x11 via the blackcoin multipool with 2% fee
* Mine x11 coins, such as darkcoin
* Blackcoin pushes up darkcoin difficulty
* They dump darkcoins putting downward pressure on the value of the coins I already have
* They buy blackcoins putting upward pressure on Blackcoins
* I get some blackcoins
* Sell the blackcoins and pay the exchange fee
* Buy darkcoin and pay the exchange fee to get them into my wallet

As its only my second day on this planet, did I miss anything, other than they may not mine darkcoin all the time?
