Anyone have the link to the DRK IRC channel?
#darkcoin on freenode More details: the server is freenode.org and the channel is #darkcoin you can go to https://webchat.freenode.net/ to access in your browser but most people prefer to use a dedicated client. i use hexchat on windows and xchat on linux mint.

"Trolls" - "Invisibility" - "Ring" signature's. You sound like a bunch of LOTR wankers.
Seriously what were you planning on buying with these coins if you need this much anonymity? C'mon be honest now. You just want to pretend your a "badass". So much so you will even become delusional to the point the NSA wants to track you right. But with Darkcoins cloak of invisibility and your naivety powers combined. Its form of - Ta Da - Surfing Superhero! lol, lol, lol, Grow up!
Ever heard of a BTC atm that prints a paper wallet, a thumbdrive btc wallet, an internet café, and a hat with a matching pair of cheap sunglasses?
That's right not "badass enough", is it? And also means you would have to get off the couch.
This is all just B.S. hype for dumb investors! But carry on your sales gimmicks. Munch munch!

Tthe Darkcoin will replace the litecoin soon...
I don't know about soon, but anything is possible in cryptoworld. Not a single altcoin has been able to take the number 2 spot and now that asics are out for scrypt, LTC offers nothing special over just investing in BTC. DRK is at least innovative, but we have to get to and maintain a 50 million dollar market cap first before even thinking about anything higher. if you look at the total amount of coins that will be created dark is quite close to litecoin You can't just extrapolate like that though. If that's the case, a super scarce coin like 42 should be worth major market cap but it isn't. I do agree that DRK has major potential, but before anyone starts >LTC in terms of marketcap, lets actually make it into the top 3. If it's strictly based on price (> LTC's price), then sure, as current supply of DRK and LTC price would be around the $50M market cap.

I have quite a big amount of DRK, between 15K and 25K. The big price rise is making me want to sell an I'm really having doubts if I should or not. Do you think price will keep rising? Or I should sell and buy a bit lower price? It's not a message to bring panic sells as I have a private buyer and we would make the transaction on our own.
Thank you
IMO this is not right time to sell even in privat transaction. We are about to RC2 release it should make the price higher than it is. OR Sell at higher price come back and buy on exchange it will rise the price too.

I think you should sell it. To me. I'll give $2.20 per DRK. PM me if interested.

I would keep 75% for when it hits $100+ per drk and I'd play the game with the other 25% but not right now it's moving too fast, it'll stall before dropping.

So we can do some usd/drk with high volume. The price will skyrocket then and hopefully we can have a steady and slow climb to $1,000. By then ill have time to x20 my current darks

Yes and so it should, it's got a lotttt more to offer. definitely. dark offers 100% anonymity, this coin is perfect.. This depends on how you define soon. http://www.wowwiki.com/SoonThat might take some time. Although I expect DRK to be much more valued in the near future.

Is your buyer smarter, richer, luckier, or sexier than you? Be honest about it. If he is any one of theses things then you should probably not sell. Two or more, definitely not.

I have a question about that node/1000 thingy, which I haven't kept track of very closely. Basically if users set up their own nodes, they get a portion of mining profits? Or something like that?
I have a tiny bit above 1000 coins right now.
What I am wondering about is, is it worth just keeping 1000 coins for the rewards, or if the price goes crazy, sell some to go below 1000, just to take profit? I don't mean at current prices, but say it doubled or something in a short time period?
I was thinking of keeping 500, playing with the other 500... just want to check and make sure that the 1000/node thing wouldn't trump this, and I should just keep the 1000 regardless.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980
