I told them, since there is doubt, the situation won't be proven with links. What's so difficult finding the number of dan and calling to see if he is the actual one? Oh god, why did I ever ask this - they were like "oh you are invading the privacy" and shit... W T F... like if there is a yellow pages entry one can find, what privacy? It's all public. You call, you ask hi, are you dan? is that your coin? if he says yes, he is the real man. If not, then the guy posting is an ID scammer on top of the rest. The real one would like to know that for sure. There's no reason debating this for so long on whether he is who he is or not. Links upon links prove nothing. A phone call (to a phone he himself has publicly listed in some catalog or directory) would do the job - or as a member said in there, if he controls his linkedin profile than just a change of letters in some details of the resume or personal info would convince anyone and that's the end of it.

Look at the end of the day the fact remains this whole crash and drama is due to Dark's official twitter spreading FUD because XC was continuing to rise before that tweet.

Whether XC is a scam coin or not shouldn't even MATTER to the Dark community if their coin and code is stronger, why should the XC dev have to answer for your starting shit? He doesn't owe the Dark community anything, especially one that guards its code and secrets all the same if not more. The XC dev has to answer to the XC believers, not the Dark pumpers.

Maybe DRK should open up some of its code for a 3rd party to take a peek at too, or is peeking behind that magician's curtain unacceptable?

What does it matter?

You've made your choices in life. Great. Best of luck to you. Bye.

What he means is, please give us your code so we can show everyone we got some code.

When DRK goes opensource, the top 100 coins will all be clones of Darkcoin with everyone trying to link themselves to DRK.  I can just see it now, EvanCoin, Evan&ApeCoin, X11EvanCoin, X11EvanPOS, X11DRK2, etc.

Can't forget DarkDogeCoin. That's my project. Watch out for the coming troll-fest that I will reap upon you.

Jesus, I feel like I am back in high school again.

Ha ha.  That's what it looks like.  Bottom line is that neither one of these coins is ever likely to be adopted and used as a payment vehicle.  They do however make a competent trader wealthy.  There will be coins in the future that will be adopted and used but none will ever surpass bitcoin as the de facto standard.  None of the so called "Anonymous" coins is ready for prime time and likely never will, DRK included.

Commercial Privacy

I have seen a lot of debate lately as to why are really coins with transparent block chains unfit for B2B or even retail. Many were saying that businesses can change addresses and that the competition wouldn't really be able to tell what is what. I just wanted to make a few points:

 • In the case of retail, the privacy of the consumer is the one that is most affected because and individual is unlikely to have hundreds of addresses, we can assume that the business you bought from could for marketing purposes trace back your transactions and gain unlimited amount of information to do targeted marketing.
 • On the other hand, your financial information is compromised and could be filtered by any employee of any business you buy from specially if they need an address and your contact info.
 • On the other hand for B2B is even more critical, you could never really use a transparent blockchain, not only because it could be revealing to competitors but actually because it would give away too much information to the companies you are doing business with, providers and customers could see a history of your transaction and use it to negotiate with you and eventually filter information to your competitors including which addresses you own, when do you buy, at what price, plus you loose leverage in the negotiation.  In normal business now a days you pay your vendors using wire transfers they get the money they can see from whom but that's it they cant see the history of movements from your account. It would be silly to pay a provider with an account that they can after analyze and see your history of transactions. It is just a weak solution and Darkcoin would be a better fit.

There are obviously many other reasons, just a couple of points I wanted to make

And this is why XC was born.

Any background about the developer of XC?
Yes! http://seclists.org/interesting-people/2002/Feb/107 (more to come)

So a couple of things.. #1 - that twitter account is fake, my account is the matrix_guru one... also web site was take down as soon as my identity was revealed for reasons I cannot discuss.

#2 - YES that is me in the article above, back in 1998 I designed and deployed a large wireless ISP.  By 2003 it had expanded to cover a large part of eastern Massachusetts.  As it grew more features were added, like VoIP, QOS, and VLAN support.  However market conditions changed with lower cost solutions available from the competition(Verizon deployed DSL in my community due to the threat)... The product was then upgraded to support a marine environment, which was deployed in Cape Cod.   This network still runs to do this day, serving 11 Ferries and 50k to 150k (depends on season) per day.

and for the record, this is only a small piece of my background...  I saw the opportunity and the scam of DRK, 1.5Million pre-mine? the air drop?? ... so I decided to build a product based on a vision and I have the experience across the various markets to make this work and bring it all together.. mobile, Point Of Sale, ATM, NFC/RFID..etc

I have been in crypto for about 6 months now. This is the most sad thing I have read in all of BTCTalk. This guy puts the old and aged FUDsters like cryptohunter et al to shame. To all those who are supporting this type of person, shame on you.

If you guys remember I told you almost 3-4 weeks back, you will not be able to handle the FUD coming when valuation, media coverage etc increases. These guys are putting everything they have to stop Darkcoin. Look at Scrypt ASIC manaufactures/jasinlee et all openly cheerleading that shit. It is depressing.

Then stop yacking about XC on the DRK thread then, it's okay to bash on it here and also invade the XC thread but not for someone to come in and respond to the accusations here?

lol, your chart shows the dumping starting a full 15-30 minutes before the Twitter post. And it's rather weak-minded to assume that a slightly accusatory Twitter post could cause a dump anyway. Why would XC supporters looking to DRK's official twitter for the trading advice?

Thanks for posting this! I've been thinking along the same lines, that anonymity will be a Corporate Requirement for businesses using crypto. (I'm not talking about when you buy some coffee from Starbucks, transparent crypto is fine for that. But when Starbucks buys its coffee beans, or equipment or supplies, it will want to do so with anonymized crypto not transparent blockchains to keep competition from learning what they are doing.)

Keep in mind that the alternative is that a companies' finances could be laid bare to competitors every time an accounting employee leaves Company A for Company B with account info stashed away. Or is bribed, etc. That's a serious enough risk that given the options, a requirement for anonymity is a given.

One can also find that the "revelation" on DRK's thread was at least 40m earlier than twitter (one page back from the link I'm posting below). I also wrote about the dump here:
