What is this dump? What does it mean?
In the greater scheme of things...
Has it happened as a mass hysteria & escape, or are there simply better things out there now?
A handful of sharks destroying the price, and they cooperate with whales? What do they know that I don't know?
How can I understand something like that earlier next time?
What is the meaning of the price of a coin?
Is it too late now to sell? Or a good moment to buy?
Is DRK going to be completely worthless soon? Or overtake all the others?
Where is the bottom - and when will it go back up? Where is top?
What would be reasons for people to then suddenly start believing in DRK again, and buying back huge amounts?
Why did I buy it in the first place?
How can I pay what I intended to pay with it, if it is worth only half now?

I've been a Darkcoin devotee since February but I sold ALL my Dark in May.

And there we have it.  You not been in crypto long or have you forgotten what happened last time BTC started climbing again back in October?  Lots of coins are dropping and it isn't because of your conclusion that is for sure.

No, it's an unmoderated forum thread. 

Look, at this time, Evan is reworking a section of the code to make enforcement of Masternode payments work without a hitch.  He's fast, and I'll bet he finishes it in the next two weeks.  In fact, I'm going to go set up my computers to get them mining on the testnet so I'm ready when he starts testing.  He saw a way to simplify the voting/enforcement from another direction that won't cause forks and he simply needs a bit of time to code it.  He's fixed many things in the past because they didn't work well, like KGW, he just started from scratch and created DGW 1.0 then 2.0 because it wasn't good enough.  He reworks things when they're not good enough, and this wasn't good enough! He always thinks outside the box, which is what I find most amazing about him!  Evan is truly an exceptional human being.

Well, anyway.  When testnet starts up, I think the excitement will build again because the community gets to see things happen that way.  They have something to participate in, even if they're not running anything, they can follow along and it's exciting.  I think that will go a long way toward giving DRK a shot in the arm   Hopefully that will be soon

Actually, the pump that is over is the DARK pump.  That is clear, and which by definition, makes you the bagholder.  While the lucky and the smart unloaded at greater than 2X prices from here.  Including myself.

And yes, there is a reason why Dark is "currently" still worth more than all the other alt coins.....and that reason is the same reason why Doge is "currently" worth more than most all the other altcoins.  But that won't stop them both from bleeding out week after week.  In fact it is one of the primary reasons they are.

I didn't come to tell you to sell.  But I saw a post that was genuinely asking what to do and how to make sense of what has been happening and I know that emotion.  I had to make the same difficult decision whether to sell my Dark and it was tough because I have been mining it for so long, but I acknowledged that the environment had changed.  Dark is very special in that it killed off the shit coins and caused the other coins to evolve, but now those coins offer legitimate competition and Dark has had stumbles.

For the persons who genuinely want advice on what to do now,  hopefully Dark double bottoms and quickly returns to .015 so all this goes away, but don't let people delude you into thinking that the momentum hasn't changed to the downside or that anyone that disagrees that Dark is destined to return to it's highs with RC4 must be spreading fake FUD.  Vericoin holds the same opportunity that I saw in Darkcoin way back in early February when I found this coin so that is why I have no problems telling others about it, just as I educated as many as I could about Darkcoin throughout all of Feb, Mar, April and May.

I don't care about the current price of DRK, I don't care about dev updates, I don't care about what the competition is doing. And this comes from someone who is all-in in DRK and quit his job because of DRK's success.

Remember everyone, this is a long term project. The road is bumpy, but let's focus on the destination, not how we get there.

Long term projects will have difficulty in an environment where the vast majority is looking for short term gains.

Don't kid yourself (or anyone for that matters) that VRC is a good buy.
It was before the pump, not now. DRK had no pump until May - so it's not a valid comparison.

Beside, you're investing on a hype, not a cold analysis.
I've said that earlier many times, before investing in a coin, ask yourself a question, what's so special it offers that would drive wide adoption?
Can a coin do something that Bitcoin or a stronger competition can't?
