Its hard to imagine a more hamfisted way to cash out than to dump in large blocks at or just below market prices while volume is lower than usual???
If he is for real I feel sorry for his family they will most likely be living in a ditch by Christmas with such an impulsive inadequate in charge of the books!

Goodness sakes, I have to agree, that was quite foolish!  Or he panicked?  I don't think 20,000 coins could have been the cause of the downward trend and I'd have to guess many people don't understand what Darkcoin really is.  If he has kids in the USA, I'm certain that won't get them a college education unless it's state schools or community college? (no insult to state universities intended)  Even then, those are expensive!

Depends on how old his kids are I guess.  If I could pay off my house right now and have nothing left over, I could probably send my future kids to college with what I'd save in mortgage payments for the next 18 or 20 years.

I understand your point. It was smart to invest in dark when it is assumed he did. I wouldn't call what he did stupid, just impulsive. I'm happy for him and not mad he sold. I think calling him stupid is unwarranted as maybe he just wanted out because he needed the money stat or got spooked. Maybe he didn't have the patience to try to get a premium on his dark by throwing out blocks? Whatever, win-win. He gets paid and people( not me  ) got cheap dark.
