FYI if VirtualBox-4.3.14 does not work, downgrade to 4.3.12 which worked for me on Win7 64.

Same experience. Updated from .12 to .14 few weeks ago and couldn't load my VM's anymore. Downgraded back to .12 and all is ok again.

Thanks guys, Just checked and I am running 4.3.12 as well - will update the guide!

If any of you haven't looked in a while, there is so much amazing work going on by so many people, and you can get a glimps by peeking at the threads here:

https://darkcointalk.org/forums/official-developer-thread.15/

And the testing threads.  Ideas pop up, and I'm not even checking IRC, which I suspect is equally exciting.  Look at the work being done on the wallet GUI, someone just came in asking about usability for himself, because he is blind!  Wow, nobody thought about this!  He wants to run a masternode!  So immediately DRKLord is thinking of a temp solution.  It's just amazing the talent out there and their willingness to put their time into this.  Just makes me feel so good about Darkcoin and it's future.

Cheesy  Cheesy  Yaaay, for all you young smartiepants Wink
That.

Couldn't have said it any better, KUDOS for this brightening post. Smiley

Came back to check on the darkcoin news
So whats been going on here see its dropped below its 0.01 mark to around 0.0085 so any reasons for that or is it just the lull before RC4 that explains that.
Good old calm before a storm ^_^

I'd say calm before storm and traders trading down to get more.

(Masternode count is going up)

Progress in testnet is good.

Testnet also throwing up some new ideas like ability to choose a masternode for denominating:

"I suppose a really privacy aware user (or group of users) could have their own private masternode using these commands too. Another use case I hadn't thought of." -Eduffield

"This has some nice implications indeed - perhaps it's even possible to implement something like a "web of trust" where masternodes can earn "trustpoints" via crypto-signature chains by other masternode OPs - and the darksend user is able to specifiy what "trustscore-threshold" for his transaction is mandatory. That way compromising the masternode network will be even harder..." - Flare

One of the ongoing challenges of reading posts on forums like this is the never ending ability of people to write something ambiguous that leaves you wondering just exactly what the poster is trying to say.

"Shitcoin" are you referring to DRK? (I'm guessing yes since you've mentioned 8 months?)

"Thanks for another few DRK to Area 51" (reference to the infamous Edwards Airforce Base highly secretive US government test area?)

What does it mean/what are you saying exactly?

I'm guessing you're not bullish on DRK. Given the lack of effort you put into your post I can imagine how little understanding you have of what we're dealing with here.

He probably meant that Cryptsy added Aliencoin (which he considers to be a "shitcoin"), sold them, and bought some DRK.

dumbass

Well that was stupid. The future will have more than one coin.

Drk by volume and market cap and price is no. 1
And with RC4 even more so. Competition is healthy.

Trying to sell your choices with such stupid statements isn't.

Thanks bro for filling up my buy order, good luck to your cloakshit coin. DRK is slowly going back up and this will be the last time we ever see cheap DRK at 0.008.

I am more bullish on DRK than ever before. "Crypto People" are only short time related on what they are doing.
All who are selling now because there is still no announcement on RC4 release date are XXX
Have a look at darkcointalk and you can see how things change day by day on the testnet.

...nor talk down other coins. What we have here is just too innovative and spectacular to engage in deprecating commentary on other crypto-currencies.

Well that's great to hear. Really had no idea what you were getting at but thanks to illodin reminding me about aliencoin it makes sense now.
