That is total BS. In over 6 months, that never happened to me, or anyone else. May my customers come and chime as well.

You're a sad example of a human being.

This clown doesn't have a MN. He's just in a different lunatic phase right now. Maybe got moved to a different ward, who knows?

Yeah, still... he's pointing out "variance bitch" as an excuse for DRK flaws again. Even though he's apparently over-payed! Go figure...

I'm simply inferring that naming such a project "DarkTor" is perhaps not the greatest idea.

Example: http://detector.io/DetecTor.html

"As suggested by Roger Dingledine, renamed software to not include the term Tor, to avoid confusion with official Tor project software. The term DetecTor will continue to be used as the name of the project and the design."

Very impressive job in identifying the trolling MN holding faggot by the community. My faith is restored and I must say very impressive job indeed. Today the trolling faggot was accepting compliments by a couple of XMR bag holders in the poloniex trollbox about how excellent he had trolled darkcoin in the past.

Mr. bigrcanada, you could also just learn how to completely ignore the troll. You keep quoting humorous responses and make the thread that much harder to sift through. It never helps.

In due time he will be doxxed, that much I can assure you.

I agree that it should be optional.

I've also read about a "mistaken" DRK insta/pre mine......  Why aren't these funds being used to fund a charity.....or set up MNs with the sole purpose of donating their proceeds to charity?

For the same reason you shouldn't be forced to, because somebody was lucky and mined 'em up and those coins then belonged to them.

No, I agree with you on this.  I like aigeezer's suggestion to get charities to accept dark and go from there.  Anyone interested in supporting a charity can then donate or speak up for them for donations in the forums.  I think that would be best.

Isn't that "someone" the dev?  If so, it has nothing to do with being lucky.  Roll Eyes

No, I don't think so.  First of all, in the very VERY beginning, he was buying them off of people 20,000 at a time.  I don't think he was doing much mining, except from whatever computers he had on hand.  He was really busy working on the code.  At least that's the impression I got.  He would pop in and make comments, I don't remember, but it gave me the impression of a kid with a new toy that couldn't turn away from it long.

That's when I realized I liked him.... and was beginning to trust him.

True, but Darkcoin is undoubtedly much more popular than Torcoin, if/when Darkcoin starts hitting the public up, Bitcoin style  Grin, then the makers of Tor would surely notice.

That's the guide I used.  Linux VPS and Windows local cold wallet.  One thing I would point out is that there were people in that thread stating that if they closed their local wallet their masternodes would go offline.  What I found to be causing this in my case was that after you start the masternode and close the local wallet, if you open the local wallet up again and close it the masternode goes offline.  I noticed this after my masternode had been running fine for a couple hours and then was offline.  I had reopened the Darkcoin wallet on the local machine and closed it.  I tested this a couple times and the result was always the same.  The masternode would go offline if I opened and closed the local wallet after it had been closed following entering the masternode commands in the console.

That is total BS. In over 6 months, that never happened to me, or anyone else. May my customers come and chime as well.

You're a sad example of a human being.

I don't give a damn what's happened to you or not.  Maybe you should read this thread on darkcointalk.  Or do you even know how? https://darkcointalk.org/threads/drk-guide-rc3-masternode-windows-local-linux-remote-vultr.1367/

Since you're obviously challenged in more ways than one I'll copy/paste the posts that describe exactly the situation I posted about along with how I was able to resolve it.

nice guide!
but i still got a problem Sad
when i get the message from the local and the remote server that the hotcoldmasternode is enabled i shut down the local wallet....after that (round about 10minutes) my remote masternode goes offline because the lastseen value in the masternode checkpage gets bigger and bigger and finally gets kicked from the list.

Hi icewood,

Same problem for me, no answer for now:
https://www.darkcointalk.org/thread...cro-ubuntu-for-masternode-part-2-3.241/page-7

damn...
i got the same version and configs like you...and the when i keep the local wallet online, everything is fine... Sad

i hope someone can help us to get the cold storage remote/local solution work...

Hi, i followed your guide exactly, and the masternode is running, but as soon as i close the local wallet on windows, the remote masternode stops being listed. Any idea?

Maybe not the same issue but with the lack of technical knowledge that many of the people running masternodes have I doubt that they are conveying all of the pertinent information or behaviour that is preceding their issues.  It could very well be that they did the same thing that I did and opened and closed the local wallet after it had been closed after issuing the masternode start command in the console.

I didn't bother to read the rest of the thread to see if a solution was posted as I am very technically inclined and decided to troubleshoot on my own.  And every time I opened up the local wallet after it had been closed after issuing the masternode start command my masternode would go offline once I closed the wallet again.  Without that behaviour of reopening the wallet my masternode has been online for hours.

And for the record, masternodes have not been operating for six months so you can talk all you want about you and your customers but it's just more B.S. out of your ignorant mouth.

I was trying to help people avoid a headache and posted my actual hands on experience.  If you don't want to believe that I know what I'm talking about then fine.  But don't come on here calling me a liar just because your a butt hurt bagholder that's pissed I made a whole bunch of btc off of DRK the last couple of days.

There is a difference between me and you.  I am objective, straightforward and to the point.  You're a fanboy that dances around the facts that doesn't offer anybody anything except your ignorance.

tbh i think Mr. Troll is just trolling us with that remark...

No I actually did get screwed out of a masternode payment by someone out of compliance and I want my drk!  I started my masternode last night and I only have two payments when I should have three because someone didn't pay the 20% they were supposed to.   I feel violated like I was robbed.  And I don't like feeling this way.  So enforcement needs to start ASAP now that these guys are keeping drk's that belong to me.

You are a sick person. Months of trolling and flaming DRK, now you complian you're not getting your MN payments... booo-hoo!! You have no clue whats going on and you deserve no DRK at all

See that's you're problem.  You're too busy worrying about whether or not I deserve dark to keep an eye on your own affairs.  Now you're underwater and lashing out at those that have been making bucket loads of btc the last couple of days.

And for the record nobody deserves drk.  It's a commodity now to be bought and sold by anyone with the btc to get in the game.

And yes I want my masternode payments.  Why wouldn't I?

You are seriously losing man.  I think you need to turn off your computer for a few days because you're obviously having a breakdown.

GhostPlayer the self appointed holder of the DRK keys.  He'll decide who deserves drk or not.  What a joke.

Don't you just wish that you could go back in time and undo some of the stupid things you post?

I've had a change of heart about Darkcoin after spending the last few days reading more in depth about Evan's work on Dark, Good job.

I've actually placed more buy orders as well.
