PM me if you're interested.
I will raise you 1 BTC. I'm offering 6 BTC for a stake. i can sell it for 6 btc Hey how about you sell your stakes somewhere else ? (Who would be dumb enough to buy stakes that haven't been distributed anyway ?) This thread is about progress for NEM and not making a quick buck mkay ?

Will some of the money raised be used to make professional information videos or infographics?
I think the hope is that the community will try to make things like this. I have video editing experience, but not much time. Will it not be more beneficial to simply employ someone to make a really good, professional one? I agree, if the community can come up with something just as good as a professional one then great, but if it's at the expense of quality then I think it's a bad idea. Having said that, I'm not sure how much this kind of thing would cost... A few thousand? Not cheap.

Why not offer those Bitcoins to UtopianFuture. Special stake, so that he could put those Bitcoins towards the benefit of Nem. The coin will benefit more that way, and the people buying a stake won't have to risk giving away those Bitcoin to someone who might keep them and the name stake.

You're naive if you think that all the stakeholders here are going to work on NEM to create a better world. Ofcourse there will be people selling their stake at the beginning. It's not that bad you know. They will distribute the coins so you don't have to do it.

I was naiv thinking that people would be smart enough to wait a little longer Even if expected it upsets me a little to see it so early.

I fail to see how that's a bad thing? People want to sell their NEM stakes = NEM already has a value. If there is a lot of selling on an exchange then it means the distribution will increase even more. Hoarding coins for as long as possible isn't intrinsically good, and selling coins as fast as possible isn't intrinsically bad. It's just market movement. Besides, isn't PoI being developed for NEM specifically to encourage spending/selling NEM?

It's not that bad you know. They will distribute the coins so you don't have to do it. But it shows the beginning of dumping down a coin. I hate people do that. "I bet 6 BTC, so let's sell it for 4,3,2,1,etc". What is this??? Everybody ruins the business of each other and in the end, the business of the whole community together with his own. - Instead of being proud(!!!), to be a part of such an active collective and keeping the price up. That's one of the many reasons why I hate people and with them our whole elbow-society. "BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD" - Nelson Mandela EDIT: Luckily I'm not Utopianfuture, I would kick them all out of their stake!

Dumping a fuckload once will prob not be considered important to the network. I didn't actually state that it was bad (won't say it's good either) just that I was suprised to see it already.

Easy to take a dim view on this and how the philosophy of NEM, UP and others can be overturned. I believe this is a very small minority, the stakeholders are several thousand in total and these early "offers" are less than a dozen. Wait until the community has something to get behind for the masses that aren't developers and then we'll see if NEM is different. KC

I've already got in mind how much of my own stake i intend to "donate" to community efforts and development. Better this way long term if everyone thought along the same way.
