As I mentioned on in a earlier post once the core NEM is complete it maybe a good idea to look at using existing feature phones and SMS gateways. The use of M-Pesa in Kenya is an example of what can be done will relatively simple technology that already exists

KC

Good technology appears simple to the end user... In reality what appears simple may not be...

This can be done, one approach is to design an integration to mobile money platforms and offer NEM as an add-on rather than an alternative...
This way you work with the Telco's not compete...

My humble opinion is you need something like a blockchain.info online wallet which can be accessed via SMS/USSD securely, a mobile money platform can hold the wallet-keys or a separate platform, I would think a telco agreeing to partner like this would run a NEM node along side its mobile money platform and take a stake.

There is also a lot of fraud around these systems (not technology) but spoof messaging which the Telco manages, people in these markets have very little money and if they don't trust you, they won't use you.

I know the concept of working with a telco (I am from one) will not sit well with some people but you won't get good enough security using these simpler protocols unless you can properly integrate with the network.

When I first heard about NEM I bought some domains.

I believe in NEM and if anybody has some ideas for my domains I would love to help develop them!

nemexchange.com
nemwallets.com
nemcoinwallet.com
nemcoinexchange.com

NEM=Egalitarianism
you are such smart dog!!

I'm not sure how valueable those domains will be as afaik the plan is to have 1 domain and create subdomains for that. For example there's http://forum.nemcoin.com/.
There would then also be exchange.nemcoin.com, wallet.nemcoin.com etc.

But who knows Wink

I am really curious what the Developers gonna do whith the fraudsters stakes.

Seens to have a lot of them!!!

The Thread of the public audit list so many fraudsters...

Can these stakes be used to buy computers ( rasp pi and others) to help sucure the network?

Really good work has been done!!!

Fraudsters and Multiaccounters will not much affect how stakes are being distributed. UP want's around 3k people so if after the auditing there are much fewer than 3k then there may be a second round of registration (there's actually a waiting list already in place for that). There will be no "left over" stakes. The number of actuall stakeholders merely affects the size of each individual stake. Also there are stakes being reserved for dev stakes, giveaways and what not. I'm not sure if the details regardingt hat have already been released but they have been discussed on the trello board.

The stakeholder public auditing list is  about 1 week old. Do somebody known when this process is going to finish?

Collection of information for the audit ended yesterday. Now it'll take some time to finish the refund list and then have people that feel wrongly accused make a statemen.
My best guess is that in about 3 weeks or so we'll have the final list.

Why are you posting such a bullsh*t ?!?!

Still today NEM has no value and is still in development. Especially it is not clear that you'll receive a stake!
Are you trying to sell air ? Well - good luck to find a stupid one !

I'll post this just to save someone making a huge mistake buying " air" !!

Don't buy this - its just a trap to get YOUR MONEY!!!

Man suck my dick.

You're paying for a stake, you'll get a stake. It is what it is. The account hasn't been flagged for multiple stakes buying, that's something escrow can check out during the trade.

This account I'm posting from now is an alt I created for the sole purpose of doing this, to keep my 2nd stake safe. I said escrow accepted.

Hi Flattering Flatulents. Calm down!
As you can see there is a huge anger at your selling-off. You can do what ever you want to do with your stake. But the initial requirement is a valid and already developed stake you don't have atm. Ok ?  Wink

I wonder  how the coding is going.

As of tonight, we have 4062 lines of production code, 3640 lines of test code, and 301 test cases.

Overall, I think things are progressing well. We should be on track for an alpha (with a slightly reduced feature set) sometime next month.
