Hi!
Guess its time to shut down my farm, if the prices get bellow of 0.005 per mh, its no profitable to mine, the cost of electricity will eat away any profit!
My questions are... - Show i sell the mining rigs? Im asking that because i don´t know if the value will ever come up to 0.01 per 1 mh. - There is any alternative atm?
- I have atm 4 rigs and 8.3 mhash of combined processing power
I just feel i have missed a train... i started in January and since that time it have come downhilll... value of alt-coins lowered, btc price crashed... Now what?
Best Regards,
LPC
In my opinion the gridseed will kick gpu's from Scrypt, same as before the Asics kicked the Gpu from sha coins. I've said that before and some users said that will never happen, well, I'm not an expert but I think this is already happening, slowly yes, but just wait a bit the next gridseed generation. Gpu's will need to move, I did it already, I just mine Scrypt-N coins, waiting to maybe wafflepool or another one makes a multipool of Scrypt-N coins. Someone has one it the works don't tell anyone though

Is very discoraging investing so much money (that i didn´t have so i use a loan), and now the market is so bad... bad.. bad... Any good pool for Vert coins? Thanks is advance... Best Regards, LPC

Well the profit in VTC is very volatile, but yes I've made more money there the last weeks, but now is also very low. I dont really care about now, I think about next months, so we have to wait a bit, now all is changing. If in one month or so scrypt N coins are not profitable, I will just stop GPU mining. On Ebay GPU's still have a good price to recover some money. I've also heard a new generation of GPU's that will use half power are just coming, so our GPU's are not a solid investment for a long time at all.

Maybe i split 50/50 on waflle and on vert ? What is killing me is the fuxing energy costs.... nothing more... Best Regards, LPC

I doubt it will be gridseeds that cause the end of profitable GPU scrypt mining. They aren't better enough to do that. However, when we see 100MH/s ASIC equipment drop from Alpha-T, KnC, Fibb (if they are legit), and whoever else popups up, GPUs will need to be on another algorithm. My bet is on Alpha-T shipping first, and scrypt GPUs will be unprofitable vs power within the following month or two. I have already moved a chunk of my GPU farm to vertcoin (nscrypt), in anticipation. -- Would love to see a 'vertcoin-like' coin switching pool. EXECoin, Vertcoin, SpainCoin... already enough to be switching on.

Why the random, sporadic, no set time payments? To me its smoke and mirrors to do this and makes it more difficult to determine your actual daily payout if one day your payout is for 12 hrs and then next day your payout is for 28hrs? Now we need Avg BTC per Hour per MH's..

There was a discussion about it in this thread, if you search back. Now we need Avg BTC per Hour per MH's..
That is a rather useless statistic... we already have BTC/MH/day stats on the main page, and anything shorter then a day is subject to too much variance to be relevant IMO. If you do want more detailed stats, feel free to use one of the other services that access the WafflePool API, e.g: http://waffles.wilschrader.com/ or http://stratehm.net/wilschrader's site has Last Hour, Last 6hr, last Day, etc granularity, and can show BTC/Hour.

JHammer, you really should stop being so critical of everything. If you want it how you want it, make your own pool. You have a gripe with every pool?

Indeed it looks like Alpha-T will be the winner in ASIC mining and will be shipped soon (if they are not another rip-off scam) I wonder how many 30% upfront pre-orders they have ... so-much for scrypt mining with GPU's http://alpha-t.net/news/development-update-29032014/Time to move on to Nscrypt for us diehard GPU miners ... Hold your accumulated scrypt coins and watch markets closely! I forsee a short rise and then another major fall when the ASIC miners flood markets. I think multipools should have a user selectable checkbox setting for the coins that the pool is mining and not be switched to unselected coins on a per user basis, as I have said before I think WDC is not that profitable imo. Even if I select only 2 or 3 coins that I feel are profitable, pool members should have a choice on a per user setting. This might require user registration to implement and be a major amount of coding to be implemented. This would also help the coin-switcher process in making decisions about where to move. If I remember correctly poolwaffle has already implemented leaving groups of users on more than 1 coin before moving them to another so maybe this would not be so difficult after all. As far as I know NONE of the multipools have an option like this implemented yet. I have to agree poolwaffle should enlist coders to help with development of the U/I and keep his proprietary sections of code to his self so other pools do not take away advantage that wafflepool has I mean that there are only sections of the pool source code should not be shared public Other areas of code should be open source so that users can contribute to improvements and take some of the load off poolwaffle who I have not seen here for over a day, he must be very busy atm. Also some sort +1/-1 rating system should be employed so users can provide feedback to the coin-switcher What about an addition to the stats page showing the top donators/devs involved in helping the pool so their "e-penis" can be enlarged and stare at it admiring themselves in vanity LOL. Creds to phzi (i think, would have to look back thru thread to find it) for introducing the term "e-penis"

what's with the sudden spike in rejects? Went from practically nothing (0.3-04%) to 30+%...switching to another pool & my miners rejects are back to normal.

Looking at miner status: My rejects on waffle have been high also. Over-all reject rate on miner high at 3.2% on all pools i am mining and it usually hovers around 0.3% WUE% up ... some other vardiff pools showing 0 rejects Looking at waffle stats page I am showing 0% stales. Conclusion: without vardiff and waffle being at 512 this is most likely normal variance. I will reset miner and watch it's stats for a bit and see if this was just variance.

Nice charting, it is good to see such work going on If we as a pool need to restore profitability NEW ideas must be tried. I like this thread because such ideas are being thought of and poolwaffle checks the thread (perhaps not often enough). Perhaps a tipbot such as on some reddit forums. I see coins being tossed to and fro by the DOGE-Shibes and MOONies as reward for interesting ideas.

Is anyone noticed strange behavior 6,7 hours ago?. Alot of rejects, above 20%. Was this global problem or just something wrong on my end?

Question: Is pool vardiff tuning based on pool hashrate, global hashrate and qty of users on pool.

Your right.. As I am making freaking twice as much here as I was at that lame pool you pimp.. CoinSolver.. What are you even doing in this thread.. Go back to CoinSlover where you make 0.0021 per MH's per day..
