My A2 Terminators seem to get rented by people looking to hit new coins on pools such as ipominer.com trouble is the pool hashrate there is notoriously unreliable.

I took a couple of them offline earlier today and manually pointed them at ipominer's multiport and there were numerous occasions when the hashrate would fall through the floor, something that is even reflected in ipominer's own pool hash stats.

Maybe we need a top-ten style list of unreliable pools so that renters know in advance that they're not likely to get a good-looking chart.

Hey Betarigs, add that to your list of shit you gotta get done! Cheesy

MUX or NYD

I am fucking sick of these renters lying about performance and leaving bad reviews. Even after I provide screens shots, logs I hear nothing back from them except a bad review afterwords.

I have filed tickets about this in the past and provided ample evidence. Betarigs's can see for themselves the renters are lying, yet they leave these fraudulent reviews and you refuse to remove them?!?!

WHY ARE THESE LYING REVIEWS NOT REMOVED?

What are you two going to do about it!!!

These graphs are causing a nightmare. I have had nothing but complaints and questions since they were put in effect. I even had a graph display garbage with a vertical scale of 1000gh/s (for a 66mhs rig). Luckily I contacted the renter before they freaked out.

I have another rig owner renting my rig and leaving a false review? Clearly there is no conflict of interest there. Should I rent his rig and lie about it to even the score?

Wazzz did go through with rig rental from me a few days ago, but there were also a dozen 'false starts' on the payment front. I think some users have itchy trigger fingers and then, once they've set up an order, change their mind after a movement in the market for wherever they were going to point their rental occurs.

I don't think it's malicious, just somewhat disorganised.

I've just had 2 more complain about the hash rate. Renters are using shitty pools and expecting a 3 hour average to be over my actual hash rate.

I'm renting 64mhs and this wasn't acceptable to the renter. Look at the massive drops

Or this shit

This average hash rate is horseshit. I had one rental with an average of 50mhs on a 64mhs setup. Am I supposed to eat the difference? They are now expecting more hash rate for less money, which means i need to down rate my rig 15-20% to make up for these retards.  I might as well mine for myself if I need to give up the rental premium.

Same shit has been happening to me too ! I just tell em I can't control the pool your using. It's quite obvious by looking at the charts your showing it's the pool side.

I've also noticed that when the time is up the chart still goes for a little while which in turn brings the average hashrate down because obviously the hashrate is 0 because mining was over lol I had a guy leave me a 4/10 rating because the hashrate dropped after his time was up the average went from ~5.1 to ~4.6

I thought I am the only one having problem with the hash rate when I rent out my rig.

Please let renter know the pool they are using affect the over all hash rate.

Hello guys.

I would like to rent my rig, but i'm a bit confused with the configuration.
Usually i'm using a *.conf with 2 pools inside with the option failover.
I would like to add betarig pool, but keeping my two other pool. (main + failover pool)

While not renting, my rig will mine my main pool, if the main pool goes down, miner will switch on the backup pool.
While renting, my rig switch to betarig pool.

How can i do this?

Thank you

Betarigs needs to be your pool1 so that when a customer rents it will switch to 'live' and change from mining on your pool2 or pool3.

Add pools like this in config file.
Code:

{
"pools" : [
{
"url" : "betarigs",
"user" : "worker.name",
"pass" : "x"
},
{
"url" : "main pool",
"user" : "worker.name",
"pass" : "x"
},
{
"url" : "failoverpool",
"user" : "worker.name",
"pass" : "x"
}
]

My experience renting rigs has been amazing. I only pick the high quality rigs and haven't had any problems.

In the few times where a rig went down the owner messaged me about it, added time and or resolved before i even noticed there was a problem!

Yesterday one was idle because of my fault, worker configured wrong. The owner messaged me about it and then even added an additional 30min.  Grin

Most of the time i set it and forget it and cue up more rentals.

I have a list of preferred rigs i check often to see if i can nab.

Love betarigs!

Yes I've just realized the charts are using the ramping up/down period of the rentals in the average calculation inserting a bunch of zeros into the equation. I think somebody failed stats 101.

A simple solution would be to truncate the first and last 5 minutes.

Anyway, I'm mining straight drk now, the difficulty has dropped and I'm making more than renting. If theres a pump in a few days rental prices should rise and then renters will be blinded by greed and not nit pick.

I still cant figure out why a person would spend 0.1btc to rent a rig to mine 4 drk coins when they can just buy twice as many directly.
