Paysha is making good progress, I hear, as well, so expect some merchants to be accepting Benjamins very soon!

I am stocking up now while it's cheap so I can buy a bunch of stuff later!

I am waiting til after paysha to move any of mine (other than bouncing them up and down a little in the market to increase the number ofc) I am very curious to know what sort of merchants are onboard for the launch, if any and if paysha is going to facilitate, specifically, merchants to be able to take 1 coin, or all 4 coins or what (and how they will calculate exchange rates etc, or if merchants will handle that end?) It would be especially interesting if any decently priced mining equipment vendors are onboard at the launch.  It seems from the trends in cryptsy that the "intro price sell then watch it fall fall fall" of SO many coins has not occurred. Nice steady upswing, and if the hashrate and difficulty go up I am very excited.

Right now the value of most altcoins is so directly tied to bitcoin it can be limiting.  As more alts become legitimately used directly for goods and services there will be very much a release valve allowing the value of alts to go much higher  in line with how they are used, designed and proliferated (community). This is what I am waiting for with paysha, is what I mean (to clarify).

Got a few answers for you

We have not yet begun searching for merchants, but that will happen at the same time the site goes live. We don't want to make promises that aren't under our complete control in case they change their minds before we go live. We also have not set a launch date, yet. When it's done, it's done, pretty much. Sucks, I know, but we need to be sure

Vendors will have the option to accept 1, 2, 3, or 4 coins; that will be their decision. We will have support in place to assist those not familiar with virtual currencies, and we look forward to introducing new people to the scene, as well as promoting those already involved.

Prices will be calculated on our site. The merchants just put the dollar amount they want for their item or service, and the Paysha API will do the calculations for them in real time. Prices will most likely use Cryptsy since their API is the most stable for all 4 coins

There are a few unique things about Paysha that differ from other sites. First of all, there is NO MONTHLY FEE at all. There are no hidden fees whatsoever. If you aren't making sales, you don't have to pay a penny to use our site or services. We will be applying a flat 1% fee for all sales at launch, which may or may not change in the future. Our aim is to be competitive with other virtual currencies gateways while still beating both Visa and Mastercard with lower transaction fees to vendors (they typically charge between 1.8% and 4%, depending on volume)

The other selling point of Paysha is to get the community more involved. We would like to offer a finder's fee of sorts to anyone who gets a new merchant to sign up with their code. These will be free to anyone and everyone is invited to participate. Right now, we are thinking .01 BTC to the finder when their vendor processes their first $1000 of sales. Basically we are giving the finder the transaction fees for their first $1000 of transactions. Not only will this help US get more vendors and merchants signed up, but it will allow the community to be involved on the ground floor, as well as give them the ability to seek out merchants where THEY want to use virtual currencies, rather than those we think you want to use. All of this is, of course, subject to change, but that is our plan at the moment

I like them already, they also just round bitcoin to (bout a grand ) currently. That is excellent news. I will have to keep an eye out for likely vendors to refer now also. A service like that with an easy option for vendors to accept benjamins is very exciting. With that sort of community focus I am already sure mining equipment merchants will be early adopters. I am liking what I am seeing for paysha so far. Normally with such a difficulty spike I would expect many to run to other coins, I think this will be another trend so many coins have fallen to that benjamins avoids.
