What a week!
There were about 400+ BTC worth of trades done on CoinMarket.io in the last hour. We had a record day in trade volume, 450BTC+! On Coinmarketcap.com we are the tenth most traded coin.
The following three things are about to happen in the next several days as well:
- Rewards are going to switch to a fixed reward system versus the random rewards we had before - Rewards will drop, making the coin still profitable but harder to mine - The new site will be launched
Great posts from the community, thank you to everyone who is helping push our coin to the world. The next couple of weeks are going to be big.

Guys are you blind? someone is manipulating the price and he is doing it hard.
I guess it is the same guy that 'robbed' the blockchain because big amounts are involved, I hope I'm wrong but come on just follow the market for 1 hour...
I think a major dump will come in the next few hours, I'm just guessing and I hope I'm wrong

Perhaps it was someone trying to squeeze the price down to increase stake and it was quickly devoured by big players who were waiting for liquidity? Shrug...Seems unlikely that a dump would happen with block reward cut, new website, etc..

I don't really see the point either. I think it was someone trading with himself tho. selling and buying his own coins to fake volume or something?

Hi all, I've been following KarmaCoin and feeling really good about it. I've happily been mining on pool.karmacoin.info without any problem but I also like the idea of p2pool as well. I looked around and couldn't find any existing KarmaCoin p2pool implementation so I set out to create my own. I've never contributed to an open source project, so this one is my first. For what it's worth though, I'm a web developer by day. So for anyone interested in mining KarmaCoin on p2pool, I've made my implementation available publicly, and set up several AWS EC2 nodes. Anyone unfamiliar with P2Pool should read about it at http://p2pool.in/ for now, but if this gains interest I will write more about it specifically as well as a thorough setup guide! The source is available here: https://github.com/CmdrShepardsPie/p2poolUS West (California): http://california.nilk.net:9421/http://california.nilk.net:8080/-o stratum+tcp://california.nilk.net:9421 -u <your karma address> -p x US East (Virginia): http://virginia.nilk.net:9421/http://virginia.nilk.net:8080/-o stratum+tcp://virginia.nilk.net:9421 -u <your karma address> -p x EU West (Ireland): http://ireland.nilk.net:9421/http://ireland.nilk.net:8080/-o stratum+tcp://ireland.nilk.net:9421 -u <your karma address> -p x Asia Pacific (Singapore): http://singapore.nilk.net:9421/http://singapore.nilk.net:8080/-o stratum+tcp://singapore.nilk.net:9421 -u <your karma address> -p x Please do not use a currency-exchange Karma address; they do not support/do not like people mining directly to them. You should use a wallet, or find an online wallet that's compatible with mining directly. There are 0% fees on these to promote adoption. Anyone can run a p2pool node of their own and join the network and set their own fee as they desire. Only people connecting to a fee-based node will pay that node's fees. This is very much beta and I welcome feedback. Hopefully the coin author and/or some experienced p2pool authors/contributors can give me some feedback too! Let me know if you have any problems or questions, I'd be happy to help. Thanks and good karma! Note: I'll scale the nodes up/down depending on interest and activity.

bhahah sell karma at this cheap prices? the only reason the price is stable there is because people are holding their coins. they are smart. and only silly traders are trying to sell high and buy low. This coin is fair. non premined. distributed around. Hard working Dev. Involved pool owners. And active reddit/twitter/facebook. so yeah. the value of it rise. Halving just around the corner It's a scam coin. Nothing more nothing less. No innovation just a word people are familiar with 'karma'. Nothing karmic about it.

DID anyone see what happened in coinmarket.io 3h ago,,,,,, holly shit! around 400BTC buy/sell @4satoshi,,,,within 10min. 24H vol. is more than 450 BTC,,,, im so confused, KARMA cap. is only abt 850 BTC, but the trade vol. is over 400 BTC which is already half of this coin cap. HOWEVER, this trade vol did not make any remarkable change...

I doubt my buy orders at 3 will be filled now. But reluctant to take them down and go to the end of the line at 4...
I guess I'll just hold what I have.

Hey there. Don't know whats up but wanted to bring this to your attention. I'd like to keep some Karma but I cant get the QT to download and synch for the life of me. ..and no one seems to list any additional nodes that I can see. It was the same with the old wallet, and I had the hope that the new wallet would fix it for me, but it has not.
I'm not an expert but I have had quite a few other coins and wallets. Ive downloaded a lot of block chains. Just can't get this one.
So I suppose Im obliged to just mine it and sell it off for now. Ill check back to see if anyone wants to post some nodes or some suggestions, cause Id like to have a wallet to hold onto some as well. Just letting you know in case its a more general problem.
Thanks.

karmacoin developers stole litecoin code and trying to pass it off like some new idea. This coin has no features what so ever, so why invest in it over another coin? The developers of coins like this hope to take advantage of blind investors who aren't tech savvy and are considered 'newbies' to cryptocurrencies. One they get enough of you to invest with exaggerated forecasts they will dump the coins, all of them and you will lose 99% of your investment. Seen it happen to others over and over.
Almost all of the people who are hyping this coin are early adopters trying to get people with real jobs to put their real money into this scam so they can steal it. Look for a coin with innovation, one that has strengthened the known weaknesses of other crypto, that's where the investment is. Don't listen to any of the scammers saying this coin will make you money, it will make them money once you put your real money into it.

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine! We are proud to announce the addition of our KARMACOIN pool!karm.charityminingpools.comCome mine while making a difference and donating to a good cause! Mandatory 0.5% donation fee goes to the BitGive Foundation this month. STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups 0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause Who Are We?CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good. Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient. Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients. How Does This Work? All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.5% Donation fee. This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month. Though we only require a minimum 0.5% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause. Cheers! CharityMiningPools

Karmacoin is heading north!!
I've been following the exchange price for a while and right now karma is building some very solid support. I expect it'll be doubling or tripling in price very soon. Good time to buy!!
