What are you guys thinking about the Chelsea vs Fulham game? With Chelsea's current situation I actually see them dropping points here. The team hasn't performed all that well with Tuchel, and now he's been sacked we'll either see a bounce back or what I think is more likely go through a transitional period which might see them drop points that you'd normally expect them to get.

Fulham is hard to judge since I've only really watched the Liverpool game they had, and considering how bad we're at the moment, it's hard to see if they're actually playing decent or just looked good against us.

who is on the 42nd place after moving 5 positions up. What pleases me is that we have traveled only through 6 rounds out of our 38 rounds long journey. Much can change within the next 2-3 rounds, let alone all of them.
Just to be clear, and that you don't get the wrong idea. I wish you the best of luck, but you're not allowed to overtake me at any point in this season, at least from now Tongue. It's not sanctioned, I'm sitting comfortably in my 42nd slot with .5 more points, and I'd like that to be respected Cheesy.

Fulham is good going forward and it all comes down to Mitrović, I belive only Haaland has better underlying stats when it comes to shots and dangerous situations. I don't think this Chelsea side will be able to stop Fulham but they should be able to score something.

My bet goes on both to score here and I am hoping for easy money here. Pool result is much thougher to predict, I am leaning towards high scoring draw like 2:2 at the moment.

To make things even harder to predict, Chelsea will have a new coach for the game.

To make things even harder to predict, Chelsea will have a new coach for the game.

Usually this should make things easier and not harder but of course it is not always the case.Whenever a new coach comes he will do anything in his power to win the first game to show the management that they have made the right decision and that he started his duty with the right foot.

Alexander Mitrovic is a great player and seeing Chelsea defense against Dinamo Zagreb the best bet here is to bet on Fulham to score at least one goal. That would be an easy bet to be won.As if Chelsea will score or not there are more doubts here than in the Fulham ability to score.

@toma @darxiaomi Think I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Potter should be hands down EPL manager of the season so far... losing his two best players and still finding a way to play some of the most attractive football WHILE being above... Liverpool, United, Chelsea, etc.

Doesn't mean I think he can handle Chelski, tough, tough nut. He might just take the job for his CV, can't last longer than a season.

I'm definitely betting on Fulham though. I've been milking Chelsea for so much, might as well pile it on until at least Kante comes back.

@Welsh yeah I'm a fool going for a Spurs win at City. I'm so bad in this pool this season I feel like I need to take a few more risks before settling for regular style (which is hard to do because I still haven't gotten round to watching all the teams so I've not much idea about form either).

@Trofo Oh and I was wrong about 2 things pre-season. Mitrovic failing to impress at the highest level again... overlooked he's now peak striker age. And Haaland not getting game time, well, he only needs about 60/70 minutes to make his impression.

Well, you are succeeding in that, mate. Smiley After moving 3 positions down

you are still on the 17th place. That's impressive, for me at least, who is on the 42nd place after moving 5 positions up. What pleases me is that we have traveled only through 6 rounds out of our 38 rounds long journey. Much can change within the next 2-3 rounds, let alone all of them.

Exactly, there is no cause for alarm, at least not yet, except you're a Liverpool fan  Grin

I'm probably going to learn my lesson, and actually predict Liverpool to draw, and lose from now on, however I had a decent week last week, and find myself roughly mid table. I can live with that. I'm starting to get a feel for the forms of teams. Arsenal, Man City looking the early title contenders to me, which I'm definitely surprised by Arsenal.

This was my Achilles heel last season, I really couldn't bring myself to make picks against Man Utd a lot of times last season, and the same goes for Barcelona in the La Liga pool, even when the results were literally just terrible, there is still always this what if I'm and everyone one else is right thoughts lingering in my mind.

What I'm afraid of is Man City winning the league super early, and then it just takes the fun out of it. I'd much rather a competitive league, where it goes down to the wire. There's more drama, and fun to be had.

That would kill the anticipation we all had for the season at the very beginning, Perhaps that's why Guardiola is playing Haaland week in, week out ? with the hope of making the most of Chelsea and Liverpool's shenanigans before the World Cup break. The only team I'd rather have keeping a close tab on City would be Liverpool and or Chelsea, having Arsenal or Man Utd do that might likely just result in Man City running away with it come week 24-28

I'm not that good with SuperBru, how can I see the previous round's high/low scores? I noticed hilarious had the wooden spoon, but I wasn't going to rub it in, honest Wink.

I think SuperBRU is pretty much easier to navigate on Mobile than the PC/Web version, On mobile just click Pool Results table and then you'll find the current Round displayed at the very top, it's a drop box and you can select any round you want to view from the options there.

Possibly. I know BBC changed their scheduling today, and I believe there's a certain amount of days of mourning or something like that, so scheduling could potentially be changed until then. However, Sky, and the likes don't have to conform to that, and it all depends on what the guys behind the English Premier League want to do.

I'd expect it continues, but they'll definitely have respects paid, and probably a minute of silence. Although, none of us can be sure because for a lot of people this is the first time something like this has happened in their life time, so anyone's guess really.

Not sure if they will postpone this weekend's games because of how tightly the season is scheduled; if they do, the FA would have announced it by now. Instead, I believe there will just be a moment of silence to pay respects before the game continues because there has been a lot of time and money invested in this weekend's games, with fans coming from far away to watch their team play. The queen enjoyed sports lets give her a competitive game this weekend. The queen, don't you think, is a West Ham fan? someone said C. Palace i don't know

Yes, I don't think matches will be postponed, but it is the first time something like this has happened and I think in general feelings for her have always been very positive (unlike how royalty is like in most other parts of the world) so even if they play they would be doing a lot of tribute and maybe even just push weekend games to mid week and crunch it all together.

Not a good week for some "big" Premier League teams in general I would say.

Yeah, my tactic from now on is to try, and make predictions other users wouldn't especially on certain games where the favourite is a heavy favourite, since that's when you start to pull away when you get those correct.

Yes, I don't think matches will be postponed, but it is the first time something like this has happened and I think in general feelings for her have always been very positive (unlike how royalty is like in most other parts of the world)
Wales, and Scotland probably the only exceptions. Some sour tastes in the mouth of Welsh people in particular with the Aberfan incident. Other than that she's probably well respect, and it seems a lot of Americans adored her for what ever reason that may be. She was a big draw in terms of tourism, and I don't think we'll get that with Charles.

Judging by how Royal Mail was on strike today, but now are in work. I'd say the Premier League would be unaffected. Like I said, just moments of silence, and probably a lot of her name mentioned. They'll probably have a few graphics up, and a bit of history before the games too.

EDIT: Never mind, all sporting events in the UK have been postponed. Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/62846756

Yep. It's official:

"This weekend's match round to be postponed as a mark of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II"

government told them they can go ahead with weekend football and but the FA have the final word in this and they decided it's better to postpone the whole thing. *sigh* weekend ruined

government told them they can go ahead with weekend football and but the FA have the final word in this and they decided it's better to postpone the whole thing. *sigh* weekend ruined
Yeah, like I understand the gesture, but why would you opt to be miserable, and completely focus on mourning. People usually want to occupy themselves when something like this happens. I'm not meaning to be disrespectful when I say this, but it might be a silver lining for Liverpool having the games cancelled, since we've been awful, and it gives us time to sort things out without the pressure of a game, and our injury list to hopefully shorten.

At least I still have the UFC to look forward too since that's an American organisation. However, I do believe all comedy, and all British sports have been cancelled. So, horse racing, golf, basically everything. So, a lot of people are going to be lost this weekend.

It's more like what the media might make of it and the agenda that might rise if the FA chose to continue.

I'm sure over the weekend you'd have found shit loads of narratives and critics ranting about how disrespectful the decision of the FA is if the fixtures are to continue, and It's better to just avoid the whole drama that could unfold for that altogether.

I'm just glad that there are other sporting events to look forward to, even if they choose to sacrifice next week fixtures as well (I doubt it will happen btw), but will the England big teams be able to cope if the UCL home team matches during the midweek are to be affected too ?

Hmm yeah. I get it in some cultures, decorum, mourning, but I think tributes are better, even more respectful -- still, I agree with you, it'll be a much-needed break for many teams though, Liverpool first in line. I was really holding my breath for Matip and Thiago to not worsen their injuries with their 2nd half in Napoli.

I know hindsight sucks but hope we really do away with the shitty preseason we did in Thailand. I bet you that's had an effect on us (and we spent the team in Community Shield).

I'm definitely using the weekend to sleep, though La Liga and Serie A might tempt me.

Most people couldn't care less about the queen or the monarchy. Personally I don't even think we should have a minutes silence for any deaths. Not only is it a completely hollow gesture but who gets to decide who is worthy enough for a minute of silence? They often have them for 'big' football players but I'm sure most others are forgotten. I remember when that Rhys Jones kid got shot and killed in Liverpool years ago and they had a minutes silence or round of applause for him at Everton. Well great, but how many other kids from Liverpool died that week that get nothing? If you're going to have them then have a minutes silence before every game for everybody else who has died that week. The queen isn't more important than anyone else and neither is a former professional football player.

I wonder if the Leeds game on Monday is cancelled too?

The games of the weekend will be postponed,at least this is what all websites that give us the livescore results say postponed because of national mourning day for both tomorrow and after tomorrow games.

For the Champions League games I think the team should play as it is 4 days after the death of the queen and I don't think England should be mourning forever for the death of a queen no matter how legendary she was,as the saying says life goes on.

Yes it is, it's the entire Gameweek that got postponed.

It will be an over doing if it should happen imo, I mean Shakthar Donetsk and the Ukraine league at large are playing despite the on going war which is literally of more significance, in their country.

Yes, I agree. And I would say that such total cancellations really make me angry. I am not against formal gestures like a minute of silence that do not affect anything, but such a scrapping of familiar life for everyone who is not directly related to the queen is complete nonsense. It is like a reminder to the serfs of their place in life. The master said to grieve, so you need to grieve.

That is not even the biggest problem. There are many people that bought tickets for PL games and traveled from far to see their favorite team play. There was some guy on twitter saying that he flew from Australia with his son, a big United fan. It was supposed to be first time boy sees his favorite club play and they paid a shitload of money for tickets to get there. Don't know if that story is true but I am sure there is many similar out there.

Too be fair maybe it is best to cancel all big happenings from simple practical point of view, I don't think rest of the world really understands how much of a stress on London traffic and institutions will this event have. I know I don't and I was quite surprised when reading related articles today.

For us football fans especially not in england the weekend is ruined and hopefully this is the only round that will be postponed in the premier league. But for england people i think this is a correct decision because their queen passed away so we can pause for this week
