^  I haven't really been watching a lot of the EPL but I kinda expected Newcastle to do a bit better than they did during seasons prior as they're being backed financially by Saudi oilers now.  And they're manager is decent.  I've always rooted for Eddie Howe and have said that he's gonna be a manager of a bigger club in the coming years.  I guess this is his big break.

I think they're doing a lot better than they're getting credit for, just because they have a blank cheque which haven't been put to a full use yet and their biggest signing have barely been of much use too, meanwhile the team seem to be highly motivated.

They've lost just only one game (to Liverpool, which was a 98th minute goal, as well) despite having played against teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United and even this season's somewhat impressive at the early stage's Brighton, I'd say that deserves some commendation to say the least, and despite all of these aforementioned fixtures, they've conceded the least amount of goals compared to any other team in the league, only City, Chelsea and Arsenal comes joint second in the aspect, meanwhile they've all played a fixture less than Newcastle.

Newcastle also have one of the best goal difference +10 or goal scored to goal conceded ratio 2:1 in the league currently as well, also only just Man City and Arsenal (slightly) have done better in that aspect.

For what it's worth, I think their season so far is nothing short of a brilliant success, considering the fixture they've played so far and what's left for the first half of the season, it probably can only get better, however, that's just my personal opinion and it's solely based on an informed guess..

It's hard to disagree with you there with how good they're running so far.  I'm rooting for them to finish top 4 and I guess they could steal some more points in the reverse fixtures from some of the supposed most likely clubrs to finish top 4 like City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal.

But yeah..  This round of matches looks like it's easier to predict than the last couple match days.  Good luck to everybody.

The odds look good in terms of value, but I'd gladly pass on it, because I think are easily going to concede a goal or two, Haaland is likely not to start, so I'm sure Guardiola tactical ingenuity might come to hunt him again because I'm quite looking forward a couple of tweaks if Haaland doesn't start then it's likely we'll have De Bruyne play further forward while I like the calm he and composure he brings when playing deeper.

The odds look good in terms of value, but I'd gladly pass on it, because I think are easily going to concede a goal or two, Haaland is likely not to start, so I'm sure Guardiola tactical ingenuity might come to hunt him again because I'm quite looking forward a couple of tweaks if Haaland doesn't start then it's likely we'll have De Bruyne play further forward while I like the calm he and composure he brings when playing deeper.

That is just not the match I will play at all, no value to be found for me. City is of course a big favorite but Leicester toughened up their defense in recent weeks and City will probably be without Haaland. This could even finish as 0:0 or 0:1 for City. Then on the other hand Leicester at home with Maddison in form can score against anybody and if game opens up it could be a goal fest.

Too many unknowns, maybe I will place some bet after line ups are available or after 20 minutes of play when I see how the game looks.

Newcastle is playing great football and that is mainly thanks to Eddie Howe, he was the one that turned this team upside down after signing last season. They bought some new players but it wasn't anything extravagant so far. I read some statements from the owners and it seems they understand football and know that you can't buy Premier League title in one transfer window. Better to raise the quality of the club trough few seasons and then challenge for highest honors.

Bruno Guimaraes was an excellent transfer and he is second in line behind Howe when merits are awarded for Newcastle good performances.

Well, they bought Chris Wood for 30 million when they were in the relegation fight - and spent like 100 million in that winter window alone.
I do agree that Howe is doing a great job, I said it a few times already. But 200 million invested in 2 windows is serious money, no matter the fact that they did invest it in a really smart way.

Newcastle is overachieving so far and we have to remember when things go south for them (and they probably will) that this season their goal should be to finish in the top half of the table, everything else would be a big bonus.

Yes, but we have here to make a statement, everyone knows the EPL teams has tons of moneys compared to the rest of europe, so a lot of european teams when has a negotiation with EPL team wants more money because they know they can pay.

So because of that and in addition i think when the news of Newcastle being owned by the Saudis was spread all the teams when Newcastle ask for a transfer can say, "yes this X player can cost to you 80 millions" because everyone knows they are full of cash.

So i think they are going slow to make down a little for lower the pompadour, and dont be a easy easy prey in the market and dont overspend in players.

After i also think they learn about P$G and City and know you cant win only by buying top stars, you need a real team and a complete structure of football behind, so i think like trofo, when he say they are doing solid foundations first.

Well i think Leicester will score at least one goal in this match. They picked up form lately and always o most score a goal so i think Man City will have a really difficult match plus if Haaland dosent play that will make things even harder for City because they dont have a second striker similar to Haaland.

really do not think that this is a safe bet (nothing is safe of course, but this one does not have much value)

Leicester had several clean sheets lately, playing better, but win over Wolves should be counted out, because they put all in, and Wolves make their attacks comic, against City would be much different, and with early goals from City, Leicester could end up playing offensive, which could provide them with goals
on the other hand, they have solid counter-attack, in case City has to attack in full swing

For sure Leicester will score a goal in this match they are on a roll and scoring a lot of goals lately so that will happen for sure i think. I picked 1-2 for City but i think Leicester can surprise in this match. But im on top of the leaderboard so i cannot risk much with my predictions this time

Do not forget to put your picks as the games are today,we start a new round during this weekend.We have 8 games during today so they are a lot and it looks like we have quite some interesting ones which are Leicester vs City,in here I doubt City will lose today,another interesting game is Brighton vs Chelsea where Chelsea is in desperate need for a win today after two draws and last but not least we have Liverpool vs Leeds which Liverpool needs to win here to keep going a bit.I don't see any other game of interest from today games for betting.

You know it's City today gentlemen, and you know if I see an opponent have 10/1 I'm taking it.

I still have happy memories from last season's double City whammy (Leicester in Community Shield followed up by Spurs in Prem League opener) and odds those days were barely 4/1.

Brighton will want to remind Potter for sure but they're struggling as much as Chelsea, so I'm picking Chelsea win, but might throw in a bet against them if I do well with the Foxes.

Wood was perfectly logical solution at that time, somewhat proven not overly expensive striker that doesn't need adaptation to the league. At that moment they were in relegation fight and their only proper striker Willson had injury problems. They needed quick fix to bring somebody to play next bunch of games, not long term solution. Now they brought Isak who can cover for Willson or play on wing when Willson is fit.

Willson is one of my favourite strikers in PL, but he is very injury prone and you have to have somebody to cover almost half of the season.

Actually, I do remember they were fighting with Burnley to avoid relegation so it was actually an evil but genius move. Take away Burnley's goals, while possibly adding to theirs. It worked

Isak, I will of course remember very well, scored on his debut against us but didn't really impress -- unfair to say of course, he got injured the next game IIRC and hasn't played since.

^  Perfect match up for Liverpool to bounce back imho.  Got them to win 3 - 1 for the pool.  But then again dunno...  From a betting perspective we just can't trust Liverpool this season.

I guess this Chelsea lost game was not that expected at all,especially 4-1 is a huge loss to take.I thought the two draws that Chelsea had before would made them to play as best as possible in order to get a win,now judging from this pattern 2 draws and 1 lost game it looks like the magic of the new coach is well over.

I don't think City played that bad,they got what they wanted and now all the pressure is on Arsenal tomorrow but I think Arsenal would a be a huge mistake if they cannot win at home against Nottingam Forest.

I think City did well enough and deserve their win, and I was expecting them to struggle simply because I knew Guardiola would definitely come up with some lineup we weren't expecting, but I guess it's all to be sure of what he's got when the going gets tough, because that's only explanation I could make of barely playing Foden and not bringing in Mahrez at all.

Chelsea where completely massacred, I really don't know what happened to be honest because I'm even yet to to catch the highlights but I never would have imagined it, I even felt it would have been an easy win for Chelsea.

I was watching the qualifying of F1 yesterday and only at 11 PM I checked the Flashscore and I was waiting a 3-0 win from Liverpool as Leeds had come exactly after 4 consecutive lost games so they sure were suffering,only to be shocked by that 1-2 result and more shocking is that they scored the 2nd goal in additional time,Liverpool as a big team should not let these things happen.Nothing to say here as a Liverpool fan,except that this year is not meant for us and we move on,at least in the pool I didn't do that bad and earned a couple of positions.

Hahaha, you have plenty of reason , but like a proverb says " You dont made firewood from fallen trees".

Its quite surprising how this Liverpool its struggling so much with lower tier teams, and not with top teams. I dont know why, maybe a motivation thing, or now they cant break the defensive lock made by this teams.
