I've always said it, but Son is massively underrated. I'd love him at Liverpool, and I feel he does get overshadowed by Kane, despite myself personally finding Son the better player by quite a margin. I know we'll never get him, but he's a massive player for that Spurs team. Even when he isn't scoring, he does a bloody good job to be the engine in that team.

When he does move on from Spurs I'm not convinced they'll be able to replace him, at least easily.

Yeah, I recall talking about him in seasons past, but there seem to be people who really don't rate him at all, for some reason. Kane also gets the MVP tag (not for bad reasons) but Son's the complete package... work rate, never questionable, he's the last guy I blame if Spurs loses, effort is always there. Mentality too, Kane way too often looks jaded, distracted, down... Son is fire, hunger, never mind much more skillful.

I think it's a crazy season (upon crazy seasons) of players being asked to play without break. So we've got so many classy players... Salah, Son just come to mind, who have not reached impossible standards set by themselves in the last seasons, that pundits are thinking "oh why are they starting the game?".

Don't know the reason but Son was really out of form from beginning of this season. I was watching him a lot cause of fantasy and he looked totally out of some games. He had problem getting into the chances and then he would fumble them like amateur, looked mostly like missing confidence and belief. He was lucky his first strike yesterday was a screamer and he looked like old Son we all love after that. He was trying to force open the defense and managed to do so in multiple occasions. I think his crises is now over and we will have some more goals to enjoy.

Son put on a great show today by making a hat-trick in 14 minutes. He hasn't been scoring since July 13. This was his time to shine bright as it seems. 

Son just came on few minutes before scoring first goal. Too make it even better his first two goals were real class. Both in the top corner from outside the box, one with right foot, other with left foot. If you did not see them, look them up, they are worth it.

Really glad for him as well, there was a lot of talk about his crises and poor performances, he even started to loose his first team position in Spurs. I expected Leicester to concede several times but 6 goals was a bit outside my expectations. At least my both to score bet passed super easy

Yeah I've seen all of his goals in this game. His first two goals were really amazing. It was the best way of making up for his bad form. Son is still a very important part of Tottenham. When he plays well the team have a really good day at the same time. Tottenham needed this kind of a solid victory after the disappointing Sporting loss in the Champions League. I don't know why but they can't reflect the same effort on the CL.

Leicester found some more important chances too but Lloris was very successful with his saves. Congrats on your win by the way. I wouldn't be that brave to bet on both teams to score while Leicester are the poorest team of the league at the moment.

I don't think it was brave at all, Leicester is actually very good going forward, they scored 10 goals this season at that is the number that puts them very high up the table, that is more then Chelsea and united have scored. Their problem is their defense, by far the worst one in the league with 22 goals conceded in just 7 games.

So both to score actually almost a free money every game they play. I love teams like that and force that market all the time. I have the same bet on Brendford - Arsenal today and I expect fireworks here as well.

Actually you are right. I didn't even realize that they couldn't score any goal only against Manchester United so far. They even scored 2 goals in 4 league games. But they still collected only 1 point in 7 games. They really have huge issues with their defense as you said. They've lost Fofana to Chelsea. Caglar Soyuncu also hasn't been playing for a long time. Brendan Rodgers said that he was out-of-form in training for some time and that was the reason why. Unless they sign better centre-backs soon the rest of the season could continue like this.

It's a good bet on Brentford - Arsenal. I also believe that both teams will score and Arsenal might manage to win by a close goal difference. That's why I picked 2-1 Arsenal win in the pool also. I feel like Brentford will score first and we will watch Arsenal fighting hard for a comeback.

Tbh it's quite ironic while Im on 1st position for the last few weeks but failed to win any single of weekly prize. So, Im not really happy with this lol. And the gap is already short week by week actually, wont be even surprised if this week someone replace my position.

It's not about getting the highest score at any given week imho.  It's about consistency of getting decent scores every week.  And you should def be happy as getting a wide gap early is key.  Your odds of winning obv gets better as the gap widens.

I agree.Consistency is key,it is much better to be consistent at getting a certain amount of points every week which will most likely put you in a winning spot,why not the top one rather than being very aggressive and getting the highest score in a single round but doing not that well in other rounds,this second scenario is something that surely will put you in a not winning spot in the end of the season,so I would be very happy with consistency and not care that much about a yellow cap although it is nice every time we get one,however is much better when we keep staying in top spots because of our consistency.

I completely agree with the consistency and yeah it's not easy. But it's still week 8 and anything could happen with just 10 points gap, it's not that wide. I just can't imagine if my predictions getting bad in upcoming weeks and somehow I even not in top 10 in the end of season. Winning the yellow cap at least once would reduce the pain.

Running with a large gap early on is also a huge advantage, especially during this difficult part of the season before the world up break. This weekend's results really messed up my position, from 14 places up last week to 12 places down this week shows how bad it was for me this week. I entered so many draws and everything went so wrong for me. Lol.

The week feels incomplete without games against Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool. I felt like nothing else happened this weekend, which shows how important these club games are. I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way..

You can't make up many places in a round with just 7 games or which is running 70% instead of a full round with 10 games,this is a big limitation.I was last year leading the pool up until week 7 or 8 of the pool but since then I fell down a lot of places and ended up just 2 points before last place in a winning spot in the end of the pool,which means that you should strive for consistency,if you have green arrow near your name then it is a good round for you,I read that way,as long as I only have green arrows near my name I am happy and this week I got a nice green arrow with 3 number indicating I climbed up 3 places despite me being in the last places in the standings.

I can relate about consistency. Today I won my second Yellow Cap in 7 rounds, but I'm just in 20th position. Simply few other rounds were really poor for me. Though, I wouldn't say that this round was great for, I simply benefited that there is less games in this round.
Now we go into international break and Arsenal is still leading. Like I said already - stop the count!

Good job there mate on winning the yellow cap this round, I was so close in getting it and it was only 0.5 point differences. This is probably the closest that I've been on getting yellow cap since last season. In general, it was a joke proposal. I am already mired in gambling and try to reduce my participation in it  And yesterday I win 4 mbtc free bets and now I have to puzzle over what bets to make, given that the games of the national teams will be held now, I would not say that this is a pleasant choice.

Trust me, I'm confusing myself hahaha. Last season was my best performance in the pool in all the seasons participating, but it was my worst betting season probably since 2015, probably much earlier (believe it or not I try to keep track otherwise I overspend) despite a good start.

In general, it was a joke proposal. Pools are probably the wisest thing to pay for. One off, and prizes all season to win, and a possible big one at the end. Don't throw yr freebets on NL, or throw them on huge underdogs. (Don't) trust me =)

You are in a good position,trust me,you have no stress what is going to happen and your choices will be made wisely I am sure of this,I am in a kinda similar situation to you although just a couple of place up but in points we have no real big difference.So from starting next round we should have full focus on the pool and try to see past results of each team and not go only for our guts predictions,I have noticed that it helps a lot,when you see the recent performance of the last 5 games of each team playing and you also read the latest news before the events chances are you will improve in the pool,but I know you want to improve more in betting this season  .

I don't know. Yes, of course, a new coach wants to win the first game, but what are the stats on that? Do they often succeed?

I think in most other leagues the fact is they often succeed and I think in Premier League it is the same when the new coach has a team with a great name like Chelsea has been in recent years for example.Now this coach with the postponement of the games in the Premier League will have somewhat an easier job winning against Salzburg tonight in the Champions League game.If Chelsea fails this then things will go inevitably wrong even in the Premier League as the moral of the players will be at the bottom of the bottom level.

And yet, there was a draw. No one was expecting it. I surely wasn't expecting that Chelsea will not win on their home field playing against Salzburg, but then it took 47 minutes for Chelsea to score, and then on the 75th minute Noah Okafor from Salzburg evened out the score. Yes, Chelsea played better, much better than their opponent, but by reason of bad luck they didn't win.

But I wouldn't say that the fighting spirit of Chelsea is at the bottom level. I think, same as Liverpool, they are going to climb up in the Premier League table in the future.

Yeah it helps if you have a lot of buffer esp at winter when things start to get a bit unpredictable.  Some clubs tend to get stronger as others get weaker due to injuries.  So it's good to keep tabs on who's injured and who's dipping in performance starting around December.

And true.  But in a couple of weeks Spurs vs Arsenal and United vs City are going to make up for it.    Can't wait...
