This is something I'd slightly agree with, Liverpool would have been with Mane without Salah, than with Salah no Mane, Mane have always had the best work rate and ethic between both players and often he lifts the club in attack while Salah gets most of the credit as the golden boy,

this is why I do not like FPL scoring system, Salah get much more points being executor, but Mane is the one that kept things together, and IMO more important
but it one things for FPL not to get them credit, and competely different thing is when Klopp make that mistake, he should know that - leading to maybe he just had luck to have Mane, and now lady luck leaved for Munich, to serve CL to Bavarian giant

I was having this weird feeling that Chelsea match will be a draw. After seeing their last four head to head I was almost convinced that it will be a draw. Then I thought the chances for Chelsea is higher since they are in their home. Decided to go with a small margin win for them. When they scored I was happy to see I am getting 3 points until at the last minute it all turned out to be a regret LOL. When are these two teams are going to break their drawing streak 🤣?

Yes I thought that since Chelsea scored in the 88th minute it was game over and I was going to get the points in the pool only to be surprised for the worst when I saw that 94th minute goal.Chelsea has now two consecutive draws under the new coach,perhaps the magic of the new coach just ended as Manchester to tell the truth played somewhat better overall yesterday night despite them being in a scandal with Cristiano Ronaldo,they managed to get a precious point.

Yesterday results were really bad for most of the pool participants so I hope the favorites are going to win in today games.

Wow looks like the 1-1 draw I sort of requested from the game happened but what is more wow is that United probably deserved to win the game, something Potter even admitted, and yet managed to somehow rescue 1 point in the dying moments of the game.

Was it a great game if anybody managed to watch??

NOOooo, that's not good news for me, lol.  I'm 7 places behind you at the moment, but realistically two or three good weeks could put either one of us in contention for a prize.  Not that winning anything is the whole point, it's just fun to gauge my predictions against others.  I hope you change your mind.

Our pool is insanely competitive this season, I make a bunch of good predictions I rise 5 places, I make like mediocre predictions and i fall 15 places. That being said I am not giving up at any point. If I fall lower in the table I will just try to gun for yellow cap instead for overall ranking.

Since 2000, football has been all about statistics; a player can flop for 90 minutes and score the winning goal and be nominated for player of the week; work rate, passes, and tackles no longer matter, which is why Lampard, Xavi, Iniesta, Terry, and Puyol finished their careers without a Ballon d'or award; those of us/you who watched the game in the 1980s can tell how important defenders were duly appreciated.

Liverpool were probably more concerned about Mane's age, and the coach failed to recognize that he was the engine in his direct attacking game plan.

Yes, I watched it, and I must say that we were awful in the first half; our midfield was outnumbered for 45 minutes, and yet United failed to score; that was a good chance to end the game, but their attack was just as ineffective as our midfield. Overall, they outperformed us and deserved the point.

Yes I am extremely surprised at Aston Villa 3-0 win so far while Brentford got a draw against Chelsea in the last game.The Gerrard drama is another thing I thought would have impacted them and not get an easy win today but Brentford looks like a non existent team on the field.

Also surprised at Leicester win away against Wolves when I thought Wolves should win this game as they are mostly a home team and Leicester if I remember correctly they have not won so far when playing away but we are early into such games.This is going to be my new worst week in the pool regarding the results.

Well, glad I stuck with Villa win, but 3-1 and 3-0 predictions did not foresee this 4-goal haul (as of now). Not fun to only get 1 point despite predicting so many goals haha.

I didn't know much about Gerard until I heard the news of him getting axed.  But I am surprised by this discussion.  Isn't a bit premature to talk about Klopp's successor?  Am I unaware of something Klopp said that makes people think he's going to step down?  Because I really can't see LFC ownership forcing him out after one bad season.

Klopp signed one extension, when there were concerns he was going to take a sabbatical, so he will stay a couple more seasons but a lot happened during Covid (he lost a family member and he has been giving signs in past that he will not take a new role after Liverpool), and of course, at the club succession plans are already being discussed. Gerrard is not so much a current or even near future plan but there is a lot of support for him to some day come.

I am watching Arsenal game though and hoping they can score a late winner. Nobody except for City fans wants City to win the league and Arsenal seems like the only club able to give them a proper title challenge run. It is very important to pick all three points in games like this. Seems to me Arsenal lost a bit of steam, they should have dropped points in last game and today they aren't looking the best either.

It was hard for them to give their best when the manager kept improvising week in and week out. Today was probably the first time we've seen Buendia, Dendoncker and Bailey playing in their natural positions and boy did they make a difference. Seems like all they needed was a competent coach (caretaker manage in this case) and some team cohesion

Strange week this one,I got exactly 0 points from the games of today and even by doing so and falling down several positions the points gap to the leader is just 11.5 now when before it was 10 so I guess everybody did poorly.I just checked the standings of the week so far and the first place is with only 8.5 points with only one game left tomorrow meaning 11.5 as a maximum and this is one of the weeks with the lowest amount of point,if we don't reach 11.5 points for 10 games played then this is a really strange round and I doubt I have seen it before in the pool if we stay below 10 points per 10 games.

Two changes from Gerrad's last game against Fulham, and more freedom for Danny Ins because he was played as a target man up front with one ST backing him up, and he scored twice. Maybe it was more of a formation thing than a dressing room thing, or maybe Brenford was just not good today. Let's see how things go after three games.

Fatigue is setting in as expected for the European competition playing teams due to the tight schedule; if they survive this and finish as league topper before the world up, I will begin to see them as league contenders; as far as I know, they are only pretenders who had a better preseason than any other top 5 euro side and that's what has been pushing them all along.

For me this is one of the best weeks so far in the pool. I am second in the weekly ranking and just 0.5 points away from first place and if West Ham wins 2-1 i will get the yellow cap, so really hoping that West Ham wins today. Also i have advanced in overall ranking from 8th place to 2nd place and now im just two points away from the first place so i think this is one of the best positions for me in the last 3 years of the pool. If 2-1 happens today i will be in first place and that would just be perfect.

Another strange round with really low points for the people in the pool, and in this kind of rounds its really hard to collect the slam point.

Villa now its an interrogant open, we have to wait to see who its the new mister and see if they can be in good shape. Some newspapers of my country says Pochettino can be the new manager. I think Aston Villa have a really good squad so they can improve a lot.

Another team who keeps surprising me its Newcastle, they are really fighting at top positions, and playing really well against big teams.

Win against Spurs, an tie against Manutd. Lose in the last ball against Liverpool. Really impressive.

It was a terrible week for me in the pool, I was able to rack up just 4 points in total and I dropped by 5 places all the way to 15th, Kudos to all of you guys sharing the yellow cap because It wasn't an easy week and and 10.5 points as the joint best also shows how tough the week was on an average.

I was also rooting for Bournemouth to score a goal, I had BTTS on a bet slip and I also went with 2-1 in the pool, so it could have been a win-win situation had that happened.
