So City really played bad without Haaland? Hope that's true... Not that it matters right now as Liverpool are looking so far ahead we need to fix ourselves first before hoping others stumble. But I do need to win some big City hets as it has actually not happened this season yet.~

In general, yes, at least Alvarez, who replaced Haaland, failed the meeting.

I guess this Chelsea lost game was not that expected at all,especially 4-1 is a huge loss to take.I thought the two draws that Chelsea had before would made them to play as best as possible in order to get a win,now judging from this pattern 2 draws and 1 lost game it looks like the magic of the new coach is well over.

This often happens - a change of coach leads to some changes and a surge in the motivation of the players, but then after a few games everything returns to normal. And it looks like it's normal for Chelsea not to be a top club this season. I hope this will eventually lead to the purchase of Ronaldo

having best team allows you to get titles in league competition, since all others will have their red strikes, when you pull up, but in Cup, where one moment/minute/period could decide all, Pep is not on top of things

Lol.  As fans of the EPL I think it would be better not to wish any ill will on clubs you consider your rivals.  For example with Liverpool supporters, I'd really get it if those people are actual Scousers who are willing to bash rival supporters' heads for territory and pride, but c'mon...  We're just people in a forum here trying to enjoy the matches.

You know, betting against Liverpool is extremely good value, if you've been following my style of betting. I can't do it, it's just not possible, but feel free to make big money on us this season.

Its quite surprising how this Liverpool its struggling so much with lower tier teams, and not with top teams. I dont know why, maybe a motivation thing, or now they cant break the defensive lock made by this teams.

I think it is because Liverpool is having a lot of trouble being prepared psychologically when playing against these teams.They don't need such motivation when they face the big teams as they are already motivated themselves as they know that they are playing against the big guys while I think after a couple of wins in the Champions League they start to take things a bit lightly in the Premier League against "low tier" teams

it is a long season, and Arsenal needs a lot of wins like this to stay on top
but agree, EPL is certainly a priority compared to Europa league, although they have solid chances to win that trophy as well

Congrats on getting a consecutive second yellow cap mate.It was a good week for most of us at the pool and personally I am again now less than 10 points from the leader of our pool standings.I never expect to be this high in points at this point of the season,I remember being 43th not many weeks ago but these last couple of weeks have been good to me.I just need to be persistent and I think in the end of the season for the first time I will be in a winning position in any pool that I have taken part.Can't wait for the next round.

Arsenal actually don't have a second squad this year. They just rotate a couple of players and try to keep most of their stars on 60 minutes or less. They wanted a win in Europa as well since in that last game Martinelli played whole match which wasn't the plan I am quite sure. That is why he got rest today after 3 points were more or less secured.

Great season for Arsenal and if they need to loose a game somewhere, group stage in Europa League is best possible place. They are still almost certain to finish the group in first place and they knew they passed to knockout stage even before the last game.

I think those Def predictions would do better for me. Only I think I run out of them because I was forgetting to put my predictions too couple of times.  If we really have only 5 default picks, I probably don't have them anymore.

Anyway, you are right, we shouldn't forget to put our predictions. And since you can always change them(if not locked), it's better to make them earlier than never.

I think you should not be this pessimistic.I was near the bottom and in just a couple of good weeks I am 15th but less than 10 points from the leader of our pool.This shows that the pool cannot end as early as November because we have a whole lot more weeks to be playing and not only that,the prizes up until now are up until the 21 place so there is something for everyone of course not forgetting the yellow cap as you say.

For Liverpool it is already ended based on the points difference as I am also their fan but I don't expect anything anymore for this season,if we go far in Champions League good,if not good again.

If it were the in the champions league pool, I would have understood the reason to give up after the groups stage, but there still a lot of week left to play for here, and you might be 20 points away from top 10, but you're also only 28 points away from first position, why give up now ? When just 2 good weeks will literally put in a very good position.

I'm on 26th position right now after an awful week, it leaves mean 13.5 points behind the first position, but If I can have week as terrible as this, going 9 points behind the yellow cap winners, a good week could also put me with 9 points advantage and how close would have been to the first position.. The best I can suggest is to try play it out until the very end, you just might never know.

I really like to play these prediction pools - I bet rarely nowadays because I don't have the time to do thorough research so this satisfies my fix.

Yup, I didn't get my predictions in for Saturday's fixtures too...  Not that it mattered.  Judging from what the results were, I prolly wouldn't have made a lot of points.  There would prolly be a couple of close predictions but that's about it.

I'm so close to giving up as it's starting to be a waste of time.  But the  again I paid around 50 bucks for this.  I'm just gonna make some quick predictions without thinking about it too much.  Gonna do it...  Now.

If I remember correctly, the only game I've missed this season was the Aston Villa-Leeds game, and I almost missed the others as well. You could have been in the top 10, who knows, but the difference between my position and the table leader is only 12 points, and I'm currently ranked 22nd. This has been the story of the pool thus far: one bad prediction and you are 5th place down, two good predictions and you are 10th place up. Very competitive.

LOL, you forgot to put the whole round? Or a few matches?. BEcause if was the whole round i think you can be fighting for the first spot.

As far i see a lot of you made the picks for the round for parts and not make all the picks in friday for example.

In my case i put all the picks for all the pools im participating in the friday.

Damn, that's painful to miss whole round, but I understand you. I suggest you, when you have some free time, put predictions maybe not for whole season, but at least few rounds ahead. Then you will get at least some points, rather than 0 for whole round. You can still change your email to a random one, which is exactly what I did because I don't use my crypto exchanges email with any other sites and I rarely sign in except when I need to verify or move my coins. The email appears twice before the deadline and has been extremely helpful, especially for midweek fixtures. I had the same problem with FPL pool until I enabled email notification to alert me a few hours before the transfer deadline because I was used to missing it.

While we are at the World Cup topic and while we wait for the usual pool to get live, here is one nice competition which my colleague cryptofrka and I put up for the Sportsbet.
