Come one Chelsea, all the time I go for a win for them and they lose. Totally disappointed. I was at the top 10, now moved to 14th position. Let's see what Liverpool do today. These days it's risky to earn points with them too.

2-1 is the main tip for probably 50% of games where there is a slim favorite and yet not quite a big distance between capability, which was what last night's game is all about.

Anyway, today I decided to switch my money from La Liga to Premier League, and if I win big today then I put it on my team to win Supercopa final.

That is my bet for this game. I really think United can make life though for the City this time but both teams should have more than enough fire power to score at least a goal each. By the way, this is perfect way to start Saturday for me with a Manchester derby.

After that we have Brighton - Liverpool game and this one should be full of goals. Liverpool is still good in attack but they have one of the worst defenses in the league. I am expecting at least 4 goals here and that is another both to score bet for me.

^ Derby day and yeah, I like United a lot now, but 4/1 is not good enough for me to think they can do an upset at home, even though the back of my mind says it smells like a value bet.

I've got Nunez on a lot for Brighton. He'll make good.

From what I've seen of Nunez, and that's not a lot this year. I actually quite like him, and reminds me of the earlier versions of Suarez, and Mane. Both were good players, worked hard for the team, but in the early seasons they couldn't hit a barn door from five meters away. I think he's just struggling to find that composure, but considering how young he is, and the fact the team itself isn't performing, he may be under a little more pressure than he will be once we've sorted out our problems.

I do like him, and won't be surprised when he does start scoring, and often.

Yes! Suarez and Mane indeed, I mentioned the former and it's easy to forget but these were all guys who didn't immediately settle. I can even remember Firmino taking a while to convince people (after all, he was a nobody from a small club). But they all display something really similar: hunger. I know it's Klopp's DNA anyway to get people who just want to play and are ravenous for pitch time (every new guy coming in has been just that mould).

And spot on, they were doing even worse from close range, and Nunez is younger, and under pressure to bang in the goals because the other team parts aren't doing well.

I'm backing him this game, but as long as we win.

Nunez Darwin was also sent off in his debut match, if I recall correctly. Shit happens.

In hindsight the Chelsea brass might have been too harsh in deciding giving Tuchel the sack after like just a couple of losses.  Potter has what rn?  4 losses in the league?  And they've never looked worse.

Are we always going to fire coaches when the players don't perform well? It's time to start firing underperforming players rather than the coach, and it's time to limit the power of the players. and let it be known that the team started declining under Tuchel, he complained about the squad quality as well, but we thought he was joking when he said few players are not qualified to play at this level.

Put Pep in this team and nothing changes; put Messi and Ronaldo in this current Chelsea team and they will struggle.

And yup, I feel you there.  Tuchel shouldn't have been given the sack too early.  He should've been given a huge budget to raid BVB.  Lol.

Anyway...  Anybody watching the Manchester derby?  I feel like there's gonna be some lol moments with Mahrez that could cause United to get one in before City does.  There was already a couple of times when he seems not to be all there and has given up the ball easy or made a wrong pass.

United 1 - 0 isn't really out of order imo.  You just feel it when City plays like how they're playing rn.

The Manchester derby has played out so well in the first half and City have really been silenced such that they have had no shot on goal which is unheard of, ETH really deserves some credit for bringing this team this far and honestly I fancy Utd to win this but teams like City just need one mistake from the opposition and all the good game play won't matter.

I agree that City looks kind of flat.  After last week's performance I wasn't expecting much from them, but after 70 or so minutes I figured I wasn't getting any points from my prediction.  But now look at it!

Well, City caught sleeping. I actually predicted City at 2-1 so I'm a little annoyed by that. Anyhow, Liverpool vs Brighton next. Oxlade leading the line, which always means we'll struggle. I'm actually fancying Brighton here, and if not a draw. Something like 0-0 or 1-1 might be on the cards. Looking at the lineups Brighton are missing a few key players too, so we have a chance of getting away with it despite our injury concerns too.

By the how in this world of football was the first goal not ruled out for offside and VAR never even came to into play or gave any suggestion to the referee, but from what of those Supersports analyst said, "the referee could have rejected the help from VAR, and his decision is final as we all know", imo, given the caliber of this game, the referee really should own up to this huge flaw.

simple ref decision Rashford interfered with both players and the keeper from a far offside position, and I'm not sure why VAR didn't intervene.
