Coblee, some others might also like the above so maybe consider doing regular snapshots of this etc.

Run your netbook with -addnode=(ip of your main computer) and it'll go in a couple of minutes.

OK that went pretty fast. Hope LTC makes it. I am no longer a subject of King RealScam and his various taxes and wallet deletions. ScamCoin deserves to die now. Way to go LTC !

Yes, it's a way for people to get free coins, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.  A faucet (or a way for people to get a free coin) can help people who are just finding out about cryptocurrency to have an increased interest in the whole concept.  If I install the client, that's cool, but if I can get a free coin someplace to get started, that raises my interest and even commitment to the project -- now that I have a coin, I can't let it go to waste   Anyway, my $0.02.

I cant fund a faucet, but would certainly send some regular funds to and support a properly setup and run faucet

Nice. Are you going to release 64-bit version of the client with 64-bit miner in it? Built-in miner is very convenient but slow compared to 64-bit minerd...

As coblee said buy in will be 10 LTC and there will be cash games for those that get busted out early. I recommend transfer litecoins to the site beforehand because the tournament will start exactly at 22:00 GMT.

What prevents you using the 64bit miner manually ? What good is a 64bit client when the miner needs to be 64bit but the client can be 32bit as it is not mining but just a front end for the minerd.exe ?

What you should do if you want to be serious about in client mining with minerd you should probably include several builds of it and give a choice between 64 and 32bit at least. Otherwise it is not much use.

How hard would it actually be to create some kind of miner launcher or whatnot that launches the appropriate miner build for your system and CPU anyway?

I'm likely the person being talked about. I didn't find a JS implementation of sCrypt, but I did find a Java one -- since the methods are static you should be able to call it from JS. Couple that with JSMiner, and it shouldn't be too bad to get one working. Course, I say that and it's been about a week of work from me (in between classes and such) with nothing to show, although I do have a much deeper knowledge about the protocol/blockchains/etc. If you want to take a crack at it though, please do --
