as long as it's not troublesome to say it's not tried. lately many have complained about verifying kyc using personal documents, maybe this is one solution. the advantage with verification using video calls is that we can also find out directly who the team is behind the project. we can also give direct questions if there are people who are not understood.

Not going to happen.  KYC is needed for verification purposes and you submit whatever documents to the ICO promoter.  Your identity needs to be verified not by the ICO promoter but by the government. They hold on to these documents forever on a hard drive and can be accessed at any time.  If they do video with no document upload they would have no way of knowing who you actually are.  KYC is nothing but them covering their bases. Uploading video files or having a live video verification system would mean they would need to hire more people to process this and it would also incur more storage costs since these files would need to be held indefinitely. 

AN easier process would be nice, but it's not going to be video.

That takes a lot of time, and I think Video call for passed KYC is very dangerous! Did you think our identity is safe? no one know it. So, Video call for KYC isn't a good idea. Passport for KYC is a good choice than Identity nationality

Well video calls for verification are a good alternative if someone does not have a passport and I experienced it when I wanted Kyc in liquid exchange. Hopefully in the future more platforms will accept Kyc via video call

I think video call for KYC verification isn't necessary for bounty participants, I.D is enough to verified. Imagine if you are bounty participant and you make a video call, it's hassle, right? Especially for social media campaign that had a low rewards.

Yes. I think it could work but it will take a lot of time before the KYC process is finished.  Time can be an issue here and it can prolong the process instead of making it simple. If you don't trust the project, then there is no need for you to invest or work for bounty. From what I know, KYC is needed because the banks want to know who are the token holders. It also filter duplicate accounts for bounty so I am OK with it because I only use one account.

I already pass the KYC with a Video call. There is a third party company, that are providing the KYC verifications via Skype. It is pretty simple and does not take much time. Everything was finished with a bit more than five minutes. Much easier than scanning your docs etc.

So you have an experience about the video call for KYC verification, that's nice to hear that  like it. But I think it's not necessary to video call for KYC it's better to pass documents.

that is a bad step. kyc in the form of a personal identity has made many people complain, then the next step is video call? you are serious? maybe in the future, kyc is no longer a video call, but comes to every home and interrogates directly.

How could the KYC procedure take a hard to do? I think no need to verify our identity using video call. just tape your documents or something to prove that's us. No way for video call verification for me

I think I prefer the video call KYC most of the time because it's very easy to carry out the process,if you have all the facilities and the network to do, video call KYC for me I believe it's the best.

The whole process will slow down in a situation an ico prefer to use video call for kyc in lieu of the usual method which is sending id and document to proof user identity.

Yes, this is possible nowadays but I think it will not be used much today because the control system will be more difficult and longer. This method, which will provide a significant increase especially on the cost side, can enter our lives in the future and projects can prevent multiple participation with this system. Although the method you have specified has its disadvantages compared to the current system in terms of cost and time, it also has various advantages over the current system. Video call for kyc is really superfluous. Not everyone has a video camera and would show it off. I am of the opinion that it should be enough if one submits his papers for kyc verification.

It could be good inovation and i'm pretty sure it will minimize too the people who abusing ICO bounty or similar of it but maybe it will never happened in the near future even most of people will ignore this feature because even some people does not agree with KYC itself moreover KYC for video call and i think although this is good idea but this not good to attract new investors and in my view still not necessary to added this feature

Laughs, I have seen and witness it, there a project I was meant to participate but I was told to login to there portal to do my kyc over there... Although there was an option to upload my documents or to use my video calls so all I did was to use my videos. I activated my laptop webcam to enable do my kyc.

So I love this particular method compared to sending my personal documents, moreover it will stop people doing some duplicate works.

Ya it is very good observation but there are many issue to like many of people don't like this espacally girls so it is not a very good decision.

Though video call KYC will be preferable by many investors and bounty hunters but checking all submission will be cumbersome for the project's team. It will not be easy to go through thousands of KYC video submissions.
