Yep, very cool.
Paper wallets are a nice way to share Guncoin with others.
I have found that people really enjoy having something tangible in their hand while discussing this.
One of my favorite hobbies.
So much in fact, that I do have in the works a stand alone paper wallet generator coming for GUN.
Not giving any timelines, but it will happen.
If you are using that one, here are some hints.
This was copied from the text of an email sent to another GUN supporter.
In regard to the paper wallets, this may get a little long, but here goes:
There are a few ways to make paper wallets.
The easiest way at this time is to go to walletgenerator.net, find Guncoin, and just print some.
The best way though if you choose that way is to go the the website, then their github (I think, it's been a while and there may be a link) to download a copy of the site.
You would then do the usual unzip the folder, save it somewhere, etc...
Go offline when you do this next part..find and open the "index.html" file and now the website will function on your browser without being online.
You can generate from the site, while online, but the way described above may be safer, and a good practice in security.
It is a multi wallet generator where by default it will start with Bitcoin, but there are most others there too.
I have gone into the subfolders of that downloaded generator and replaced the stock guncoin.png images under "wallets" and "logos" with my own for a better background and current logo.
I will see if those can attach to this email if you want to give it a go.
Also, I went into the "index.html" file by opening it in notepad and changed the "blockchain.info" to "chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/" so the wallet prints info pertinent to Guncoin.
There is a find option that makes that part easy once the file is opened, and of course save the change afterward.
I always copy the receiving address into a notepad file so sending GUN to them is a cut and paste thing.
One can also generate bulk address using that tab, copy/paste and do about anything with those.
That is my cold storage method, or print out on sticky paper, cut out, and add to whatever...birthday cards, pictures or wherever one may share an address, or copy paste into documents as I have of the Bill of Rights to give away.
I will see if I can attach a link to the images referenced to in the above.
