Cryptopia will do nothing until we give them new code and pay back the coins that were lost one way or another.  That is the same situation with dozens of other coins there also.  Fortunately, we have new code in work that should be complete next week and have hopes that this will solve the situation with Cryptopia and then get GUN moving again there.

We have no response from Cryptopia.  We are working on an updated GUN code base to resolve the problem that we hope to have done very soon.  At that point, we think we can get the exchange moving again.

We have the new GunCore Code complete and are in the final stages of checking it out.  Then it will go to everyone including Cryptopia to solve their issues and get trading going again.  While they have been notified, there is no formal word when they will update.  But with our proposal and solution, I think it is worth their while to get it updated and trading again pretty fast.

Additionally, we have laid out plans with our development team as to what comes next after this upgrade.  Stay tuned as we upgrade our roadmap over the next few weeks to show what exciting things are in store for GunCoin moving into 2019 and beyond.

I think we should not only focus on cryptopia, there are still many markets that might respond better, and hope the team will immediately follow up with some markets that are expected to work together

I had a very good conversation with Cryptopia today and they have accepted our solution to restore the lost coins on the exchange and get GUN moving again there.  We will release the new code shortly and every one should upgrade immediately.  It will create a hard fork that will restore the coins to the exchange - no user should loose any GUN or BTC when this is done. GUN is now back on track it appears.

Guncoin 1.5.2 has been released, this is a mandatory update with a hard fork set for the 14th December. Please upgrade to 1.5.2 before that date. Cryptopia lost a lot of coins due to attackers exploiting the Bitcoin DoS vulnerability CVE-2018-17144, this hard fork will generate replacement coins for Cryptopia and pay for new development work. The inflation model is being moved forward to compensate for the extra coins, reward will change to 75 coins per block at height 1,112,500 instead of 1,500,000 and 50 coins per block on height 1,462,500 instead of 2,000,000. Once Cryptopia have been compensated the GUN wallet on there can be brought out of maintenance and trading there will be back to normal . Quick and painless update here, i first installed 1.51 from the site, was 16 weeks behind. Then checked github, stopped the 1.5.1 upgraded to the 1.5.2 and synced.
All fine.

First the software developers have always been paid for their work and always will be. Keep in mind that all the original founders of GUN are long gone.  The current team that picked things up several years ago, received no ICO coins and either bought or mined all the coins that we maintain GUN with. Our programmers are the best in the industry and work several coins not just GUN.  Second, the website will be updated when I get back home.  I am away on a family situation and will update it when I return.  All social media, github and this thread are mostly current that I can do remotely.  The website can wait and requires more detail than I choose to deal with remotely.  But it was important to roll out the new code as soon as possible and we did not want to wait till I return.

It's good seeing how Guncoin shows such perseverance in overcoming obstacles that have come it's way, and keeps on moving forward.

BTW, I do not believe that we need to, or should pay to get on any other exchanges, (possible delisting from an exchange due to low volume is worse than not being on additional) and strongly believe that we need to work on GUN becoming more popular so that they come to us..... hey, a guy can dream
