I'm happy that Rohit is back and I think KL would do a good job in backing him up. Also resting Bumrah and Shami was a wise decision as they are key players, especially Bumrah deserved the rest as he's constantly serving the team every single game.

I would have loved it if we could get the Ashwin-Jadeja duo but seems like that's not gonna happen. So since Ashwin is out, Sundar will get another chance to showcase his talent, eager for the series.

So finally the PSL starts with the colorful opening ceremony.

Here are a few highlights of this.

Pakistan have been trying to make PSL a big success and make it a big league. First match have got over and was played between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans. This has been a winning match for Multan Sultans. Slowly more foreign players are getting into the league and same as IPL bringing more young players to the outer world, this league will help Pakistan find the best players for the future Pakistan team.

West Indies didn't perform well in the previous few series. But they are doing very well against England in their home ground now. Probably this series isn't going to be easy for team India. However, India may get some advantages in their home conditions. The T20 series will be played in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The boundaries are big in Eden Gardens, but it's a bit good for batsman. Indian team management should have kept Bumrah in the squad of T20 series. It would make their bowling lineup more stronger. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Axar Patel may show some good bowling figure. Anyway, India has won the both T20 and ODI series when West Indies visited in India for the last time.

Recently now West Indies is losing their grip on short format as well because they already out of test for very long time, but their performance in these two formats were some better but due to lack of quality and good players they are losing in this case as well if management and players not sit on table for having some better way of this all then surely cricket in West Indies is going to dead as now many youngsters having more interest in Baseball and Basketball which is another better way to have good income from neighboring countries leagues.

Poor management and biased selection killing this region's cricket very badly, which could be very bad for all cricketing community in near future.

I am not agreed with you here this was not tough match Multan done very good from start and just Sharjeel was in aggressive mood otherwise all players have no chance to attack very good bowling from Multan sultans specially Imran Tahir was very good like old is gold at the age of 42 he is still doing very good in all leagues. 124 was never been an ideal score, so Multan Sultans take this match very easily.

Rahul is definitely a bad choice and he has performed poorly as a captain both in the IPL and international competitions. Anyway I am glad that unproductive players like Hardick are finally kicked out of the team.

They are not good traveller when playing red ball cricket but Windies are playing excellent against England in recent white ball series and leading the 5 match series. Last time windies travelled India, they were very competitive in ODI and few games were thriller. So i won't consider this as easy series for India. They need to produce their A game if they want to compete.

Looking at the results of the last few series, it is easy to assume that the Indian players are not in good form now. So now they do not have a chance to think of any team as an easy opponent. The West Indies are now a strong opponent for India. And if India play badly, they will be defeated in this series as usual.
The good news for India is that Rohit Sharma is back on the team. How much better he will do as a captain, his batting seems more important to me than that. The batsmen of the Indian team are now irregular. At the moment they need responsible experienced batsmen like Rohit.

Bro, I don't understand what is up with BCCI. It looks to give this guy a lot of chances. Basically, there seem to be obsessed with this guy and somehow they will make this player do good.

But I think that the plan is not too bad. If they do want to push the player I think that this is the right way. Maybe they want to build a good captain out of him. They have made some decisions like this in the past and built Great players like Burmah. So, I guess we actually do not know what they know.

No, Sundar brings off break option to the table and decent with the bat (in test he looked superior), on the other hand Pandya is quick bowler and batter. Only logical replacement are Shardul and Chahar, both are quick bowlers and decent batters but they are not explosive batters as compared to Pandaya. Having said i doubt if India is going to find another hardik Pandya very soon. He's e's explosive batsman when playing at middle-lower order, arguably among the best in the world when fully fit.

For the first option, we already have Ravindra Jadeja. No matter how hard Kohli and his cronies try, it will be hard for Washington to perform at a level above that of Jadeja. The only plus point for the former is that he enjoys support from Kohli, as Jadeja is being considered as close to MS Dhoni. And I don't want to comment anything more on Rahul. He is a complete waste. I don't want to squander my time commenting on him.

Jadeja is Perfect as Hardik Pandya's replacement. He is an experienced player. Maybe he's out of the team now because of losing form. However, if he is given a chance, he will be able to prove his talent again.
BCCI will not take the decision to keep KL Rahul out of the team now. Kohli has not been in form for a long time. Yet the BCCI has given Kohli a chance. If a talented opener like Rahul is lost, it will take a long time for India to find such talent. So BCCI will give Rahul more chances so that he can correct his mistakes and get back to form.

PSL Update:Multan Sultan today quite easily chased 203 runs target set by Lahore Qalandars.
Shan Masood has not played any T20I for Pakistan and is included in Multan Sultan team. He is player of the match in todays game as he managed to socre 83 runs of 50 balls. Meanwhile the runs scoring machine for Pakistan aka Muhammad Rizwan is scoring runs in PSL, today 69 runs of 42 balls.

Washington Sundar was included in the team as a spinner and not as a replacement for Hardik Pandya and he delivered with his batting as well which was a bonus. KL Rahul is a good batsman and i still think that he is yet to show his potential as a batsman with consistent performance in the International stages but i am not impressed with his captaincy .

An all-rounder is an all-rounder for me regardless of whether he is a spinner or a pacer. Since Pandya was out of the team they needed someone who can come in handy with bat and ball. Sunder was the correct choice at the moment. Jadeja would have been a great choice as an allrounder but  I guess he might have not yet recovered from his injury. India also needs a replacement for him in the future and given the situation Sunder is a good choice.
