Okay.. at international levels, yesterday the 2nd T20I between England and West Indies was really a nail biting one. Until the 19th over of West Indies innings, it seemed England was going to win easily but sudden heroics from Akeal Hosein who entered to at no:10 made a feel like things turned out in favor of West Indies still West Indies fell short of 1 run to win. West Indies scored 28 runs in last 6 balls but they needed 29 runs for a super over or 30 runs for a win. What a roller coaster match it was.

it certainly would be interesting to see the fixtures being different.

There are chances for missing out for India-Pakistan clash if these countries are not in same group hence the schedule is always in making sure of putting them into same group hence they will have at least one meet for high voltage hype to get all possible highest cricketing revenues. I am not expecting a different kind of fixture at any time soon on all ICC events.

This was really one of most thrilling Twenty/20 in recent time Akeel Hossein was in good touch and last over give him really great chance for showing his skills Saqib Mahmood give 17 runs in 3 overs and then suddenly 28 in last which was not good for this youngster but still hold his nerve and win game for his team England.

Two wide balls were crucial as well because if he has done third one then surely they are going to be in deep trouble with this all 2 fours and 3 sixes not easy for any player coming at 10th number and have no chance for his team, but he changes all fortune with losing by just 1 run. Now this brings some good interest in this series after first very frustrated match which England lost by 9 wickets and having just 103 runs on score board.

According to him, a lot of overseas players are turning down offers from the BBL, because it is the second longest franchise league (after the IPL). But I don't agree with his suggestion. The BBL is also one of the largest leagues, with 8 franchises (compared to 6 each for CPL and Hundred). If they cut down the duration, then the broadcasters are not going to be happy. If they want to attract overseas players, then they need to increase the salaries (which remains much lower than what they have in BPL or the PSL).

Yeah, that's true and for some reason, people never seem to get enough of India versus Pakistan. And it will be quite interesting to see how India does against Pakistan because India is not in the best shape right now and Pakistan in recent times is doing quite well.

But what I was trying to point out is what if the fixture was like somehow Pakistan versus India could be the final match?

That would get much more revenue for ICC for sure. But there comes that risk factor and even though I say that they should make fixtures like that I also know that ICC is going to play it safe now.

To be honest, in my opinion, Peter Siddle said that because he wants the best for cricket. Playing with overseas players is obviously a very good experience which can come in handy even in the international stages.

But I think we all can agree that this is not going to happen. Just because of the things that were already mentioned. Maybe time to make the BBL more attractive?

Agree here just because of their behavior they are facing some issues but sadly no one talking about this even in CA they have no intention about this because they feel it's all OK and part of their system and game but if they are not going to stop this surely in next few years they can face some more concerns about this or may be players from Sub-Continent stop to join this league.

About duration, we all know surely it's one of the longest running league, and it's just because they have no enough time for doing this separately, so they are managing this during their test matches and other tour programs. Peter Siddle is also right in his views, but most chances his suggestion is not going to be had any worth as CA can't afford this and cut their profit.

The revenue of other franchise leagues is very low compared to IPL. Before the outbreak of coronavirus, I saw in a news that the brand value of IPL is around 4.2 billion, and their broadcasting rights go up to around 3 billion dollars. Where BBL's only 100 million dollars. There is no other franchise league with a brand value of billions of dollars.
However, the negligence of the management in BBL and BPL leagues can be understood very well. The star players want to avoid these leagues just because of mismanagement

We all saw what Shane Warne did with samules in BBL and no one from icc nor CA too notice of this. Players from countries like WI, Pak, SL join BBL to earn some money since they won't get chance in IPL. BBL is taking wrong advantage of such overseas players and if this behaviour continuous then not many will prefer to join BBL.

Psl starts from tomorrow and I am really excited about it. Especially with all the overseas players who are playing in this PSL. Players like Colin Munro, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, etc are going to play in this year's PSL.

The first match is tomorrow which is Karachi Kings vs Multan sultans. The match starts at 3.00 p.m.(CET) I am expecting some fireworks in this year's PSL. Let's hope that the PSL and the players can deliver.

I am also interested to see how overseas players perform under these conditions. And also hoping to see the young fast bowlers that Pakistan are producing. We all know that the pipeline of Pakistani fast bowlers are really strong. And maybe some young batsmen are being motivated to see Babar Azam and improve their batting.

I don't think its biggest cricket league but yes after IPL its among the top leagues. Good to see PSL launching its 7 season, the anthem is really nice. Anthem will be more attractive for people if it has English sub titles. Important thing is all PSL matches are in Pakistan this time. England bad performance against WI confirmed that they are not a good side as they thought about themselves. They need to come out of this bubble and need serious efforts to improve them. Tamim Iqbal has decided to take a break from Twenty20 cricket, but earlier there were rumors that he will be retiring from this short format of the game. I find it sad that he is making so much drama out of his retirement. For the next six months, Tamim Iqbal has withdrawn from T20I cricket, effectively eliminating himself from contention for the T20WorldCup later this year. Would have at least played in this event. Neither Tamim nor Bangladesh will benefit from this.
