Italy won again, are they back? Hard to say a young team with no superstar maybe they are just overperforming.

Roberto Mancini has managed his work so impressive. He reminds me what Cesare Prandelli did with Azzuri in Euro 2012 but Mancini need an official big tournament to prove his works for the national team.

EURO 2021 starts in a few months but qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup are currently being played so it's easy to get confused and mix it up 
Unfortunately, due to Covid, nothing is normal anymore, so the EURO has been postponed for this year and the qualifying matches for the World Cup started before the EURO, which has never happened in history.
If nothing else, at least in just 2 years we will be able to watch the 2 biggest football and sports events in the world

It's not even in few months, it's just in few weeks now. Yes but I think there would be less confusion if buwaytress could update the title because UEFA EURO 2021 doesn't exist (its right name is UEFA EURO 2020), moreover the current phase is not the qualification phase anymore, all the 24 teams have already been qualified, we are now just waiting the final tournament that will be held at the beginning of June (Friday 11).

There is no confusion... this thread title clearly says EURO so I don't know why the confusion =) However, you are right, I have renamed the Thread as EURO 2020 as the name had been retained (thanks).

The mistake could be the fact that most of the euro 2021 nations also play for the world cup qualifiers which means that you could find some correlation between them. For example that guy talked about how Turkey managed to beat 2 big names, Norway and Netherlands and they managed to beat them fairly easily as well so it was a no question game from them and that means when they come to euro 2021 as well that is going to be a lot easier for them as well.

So, we are basically talking about teams who are playing on world cup qualifiers and how they play and if they are playing that well right now for those games, that means maybe they will be good for the euro 2021 as well? Who knows? That's why there is a connection between the two, after all we are talking about something we are going to play few months later and these teams are playing with that roster right now as well.

Well UEFA said even due to covid that there will be crowd in the stands or they are gone a suspend the home city or country the euros to be hosted in their country so this is really good. Also i dont know how players will recover quickly with so many games now plus the Euros this year,will be rough plus next year world cup

I agree! I think that will change a lot in football.
In turn, it will give the opportunity for smaller countries, or with fewer "star" players, to have a better performance, since they have not played so many games this season.

I totally agree and I am very happy the scrapped the friendlies and just played proper matches. Then we do not see 2nd or 3rd teams who have no chance at the real stage playing.

Maybe they should consider just making this format more permanent and just take away friendlies for the sake of friendlies? Or at least make the calendars more in sync with each other.

I can not forget the World Cup 2002 when France came to the tournament with injured Zidane and three best national scorers: Trezeguet, Henry and Cissé. They were out after first stage. So stars are not enough if they join the tournament with tired mental and phyiscal conditions.

If this is true a solidarity auction and then if the money goes to whoever they say it is, I think it is a very good attitude!
Whoever kept the armband, did not think to keep it as a souvenir or to get tired, but thought of helping others. Very good!
