In my opinion, this is a very irresponsible decision to organize a football tournament in the midst of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.  There are big risks that both football players and football fans will be infected with the coronavirus ...

Austria, in my opinion, has a better chance of beating North Macedonia.  Also in a pair (Netherlands - Ukraine), the Ukrainian team is more likely to win.  

I would like to wish Christian Eriksen a speedy recovery!

I think the organising committee of the Euro has been patient and has acted with respect to the presence of the corona pandemic, but the world of football games has to still go on, nevertheless am such their were strong safety precautions, rules, from the organizers to the players, staffs and fans.
I think the playing of the Euro 2020 in 2021 June is a good point for the organizers to prove they thought about the pandemic in the world.

There are only a few hours left for the England - Croatia game to start. It is really one of the games which I've been waiting excitedly for. I see England one step ahead of Croatia in this huge game. They have a really deadly striker like Harry Kane. I think that England will manage to defeat their opponent with a 2-1 score.

Even though England are shown as favourites, I think Croatia can score points from the match. In this match, in my opinion, the draw outweighs. I bet on England or a draw.

In the other match in Group D, Scotland will face Czechia. I think England and Croatia will take the first two places in this group.

They are aware of the pandemic and initially cancelled the tournament when it was meant to be held, reason why 'EURO 2020' is being played in 2021. They also organized it as best as possible to reduce movement of people and players. So, it's being played across 11 different countries, rather than just 1 and players are being constantly tested. Fans were also only permitted back into stadiums when it became safe for that.

About the England - Croatia game; despite the overwhelming odds in favour of England, I'll call that game 50-50. Croatia used to the dark horses in major tournaments, but they are slowly coming together into a formidable team that can defeat any other European team. England boosts of a lot of stars and are major contenders for the title. I expect a very interesting game.

Raheem starts over Grealish. I don’t want to criticize Southgate’s decision to leave out Grealish over Sterling, despite the Aston Villa captain's impressive displays in the warm-up fixtures.

Following the request made by players of both teams, UEFA has agreed to restart the match between Denmark and Finland tonight at 20:30 CET (TBC).

The last four minutes of the first half will be played, there will then be a 5-minute half-time break followed by the second half.

That was quite unexpected to see Denmark players asking to continue the game. In this case, I should give my excuses to UEFA for blaming them for all of this

Joao Cancelo has been found positive for Covid and now Portugual is in trouble with the mass testing.

Cancello will skip all the group stages and maybe more depend on how severe is his Covid.

Is it really hard to vaccinate a bunch of players by each nation and avoid all this hassle...

Goal for Southgate should be to just keep on advancing and with the players they have he has more freedom to choose lineup in one match and play with others in next and keep on rotating like that. Eriksen injury was horrific though but I don't think that it would impact players? Lukaku is Eriksen's teammate right now and yesterday he scored two and dedicated one to him. Lineup is good from Southgate with two Defensive mids.. good choice. Anyway I am also bit sad about Grealish not starting out..

I would like to remind you that England was a big favorite against Croatia in the semifinals of the last World Cup in Russia and we all know how it ended  
Due to the defeat against Croatia at the Wembley Stadium in 2007, England did not play in the European Championship in 2008.
That's why I really like it when someone says that England is a favorite against Croatia because then I know what will happen  
In the end, don't forget that Croatia is not only Modric but also Petkovic, Kovacic, Vlasic, Kramaric ..., a lot of great and experienced players in the best clubs in Europe.

Croatia do have a history of committing upsets against the giants. And this time also, I would at least say that they have a fair chance. The advantage for England here is that they are in relatively good form recently, while their opponents have struggled (Croatia has won just two of their last 9 games). For England, a few tough choices need to be made for selection especially for the forwards. Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling are confirmed, but choosing the remaining players for FW and MF is going to be hard. It will be tough to leave out Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Ben Chilwell.

Don't be overconfident. Croatia has a reputation of giant killers, and on their day they can beat any other team. And England already knows what they can do in football. On paper England is all set for a big win. The squad looks extremely strong, the recent form has been impressive, and above all the match is taking place in Wembley. Memories from 2018 will be haunting the England team and they are unlikely to take their opponents lightly. BTW, anyone watching the match on TV? Very disappointing to see the England fans booing the Croatian national anthem. Very disrespectful.

I think England will beat Croatia. However, I see the probability of being different as low. Croatia is not a weak team. It wouldn't be a surprise if they score points from this match. According to the Czech Republic and Scotland, they are likely to finish the group in the top two places.

So far it looks as if England is completely dominating the match. They have almost 64% possession and all the Croatian players are in defensive. Just a few minutes ago, a good shot from Kalvin Phillips was saved by the Croatian goalkeeper. So far, I guess Croatia should be happy that they haven't conceded a goal. It is going to be really tough for them. Playing in Wembley, in front of thousands of English fans, against one of the top teams in the world. But I am still hopeful of an upset. Let's see how it progresses.

First half has ended but it's been all England at the start closest was Phil Foden but after that it's just been harmless possession by England and Croatia has not done much trouble for the England goalkeeper.
I think the game needs a fast player like Marcus Rashford maybe working with Harry Kane, meaning Harry Kane would drop back, we have seen what he can do with assist in the just concluded season.
I think England would have no excuse but to win Croatia in the second half, and they need to make some arrangements or a new formation with substitution in the second half.

Belgium have played the best so far today we still see how England do it 0-0 first half goalless we are still waiting for the second half
While one of the teams we are waiting for is France they have some of the best players in the spotlight too
