It's all over in Baku. A very good point for Wales after a dominating performance from Switzerland. Wales has to improve in so many aspects of the game.
Danny Ward deserves a special mention for his superb performance.

I didn't expect the score to end at 1 - 1, very disappointed with Switzerland, they had more than 60% possession.

Very Lucky For Wales To Have A Great Goalkeeper Like Danny Ward. If he continues to show good form I'm sure he will be eyed by big clubs and also his former club (Liverpool).

Switzerland fails to beat Wales and draw 1-1 in one of the matches that do not even know why the two teams participate in this tournament?
Baleis logically the star of the match by his achievementsandname alone. His numbers were so special that he did not shoot on or off the goal.He did not extract any balls and did not dribble once correctly!!

As for tge current gamee we will be waiting for the goal from Denmark as they are clearly dominating Finland.

I think the 1-1 result is a fair result for both clubs, even though Switzerland were more in control of the game but we can see how the Walles defense was able to break every attack made by the Swiss players, I didn't think Switzerland would be able to make Wales game not develop at all in match the first half,  and it seemed that in the second half Wales changed their style of play so that they were more daring to counter-attack to try to score goals,  but still Bale and Daniel James who became the mainstay of Wales could not do much,  because they were guarded very closely by the Swiss defender.

Wales can't qualify from this group with this gameplay but I don't think anybody expect them to qualify anyway. It looks like Italy will finish first in this group and Switzerland and Türkiye will fight for second place. Wales draw must hurt Switzerland, now they have to beat Türkiye. I expect Italy to win all of their matches, there is a big quality difference. Embolo showed his skills today, we may see bigger clubs to show interest to him and a possible move from BMG in this transfer window.

Christian Eriksen just collapsed on the pitch during the Denmark/Finland game. They're trying to revive him now but it's really not looking good. He's been out for probably over ten minutes and still on the pitch. I doubt the game will continue. They've stretched him off now but after ten minutes trying to restart his heart I'm not optimistic sadly. I've no idea if they got oxygen to him as the players blocked the view but they should have got that over to him within minutes.

I was also watching the game. It looks bad and it is even worse that there are no news for so long time.  
News agencies say nothing, twitter is "over capacity" on any search on the matter... if/when anybody has news, please share. (Although against the odds, I'm hoping for the best).

They said it might be his wife but the commentators weren't sure. The game has been called off. I really hope they got oxygen to him because being out for 10+ minutes doesn't make me optimistic. Looked possibly like a heart attack. Hopefully they got his heart started before they stretched him off the field but if they didn't I'd be very surprised if he pulls through. Looked as bad as it gets. I guess the only positive thing is that he got attention within a minute but it took them a good few before they started CPR.

Nope. Off the ball. He looked fine as he trotted over to receive the ball from a throw but then started to stumble and then just collapsed. There's a clip of it above. Looks like his heart just gave out.

What we know: The ball went out of play for a Denmark throw-in down near the corner flag. Rushing to receive the ball from whoever was taking it, Christian Eriksen collapsed face first into the turf as the ball hit his knee.

Two nearby Finnish players, a Dane and referee Anthony Taylor immediately signalled for urgent medical assistance. Soon after that arrived, one of the Danish medical team was seen performing compressions on Eriksen’s chest as his teammates formed a ring around him and the staff treating him.

As of five minutes ago, Eriksen was still receiving treatment on the pitch. The BBC have ended their coverage and I’m told the match has been postponed. This is awful.

Holy shit, this was sickening to watch. I really hope everything will be ok. In the first second I thought he tripped on something.

They stopped the broadcast which is a horrible sign but he had an oxygen mask on at that point. That might be a good sign, this was a shock for me - I can't even imagine how his teammates must be feeling at this point. Awful.

This looked really bad. I hope he will be all right but after watching that CPR go for so long I am not optimistic. They should have stopped the TV feed immediately, it was hard for us who never met the man and he probably had his whole family watching either live or on TV.


Don't know what they will do with the game but it can't be continued today for sure. All players are in the shock and this is one of those times when we need to do the right thing even if causes big schedule problems later on.

I was watching the game live and it really wasn't good... The players reaction within the first few minutes said it all.

I also saw the medical team trying to revive him and in the clip shared above, you can catch a glimpse of his eyes... It's really an horrible scene, I just want to be as optimistic as possible.

Oh my God! I was horrified to watch them try to revive him and a minutes of complete silence from the audience. The worst thing I have ever witnessed on a football pitch.
It is my sincere hope that he will be OK. I pray for him...

It was so awkward watching him falling down like that. Every football fan would be worried. Good sign that he has come down to his senses as seen in the pic. Any idea on what happened actually? I can see snipie saying cardiac arrest but is that for sure?

Some photos starting to circle around, seems that he's awake. Won't be posting them here since I don't know how legit it is yet (and also not a fan of spreading things like these) but I received 2 already where he looks OK. I really hope that's the case.

I don't even care whether the game will be played or not, but postponing was the only option.

Wishing the best for Cristian Eriksen, the medical team will do well.

Group B match: Belgium vs Russia.

I probably won't be watching this match because to be honest 2am is not a good time to do it every day. But I think Belgium will lead Group B today with a win over 2 goals from Russia. I doubt Hazard will make much difference in today's team game against Russia because I think he is completely missing at Real Madrid.
