Sevilla have left a pretty interesting season behind. They started the season really badly in the La Liga. Having big vulnerabilities in defense caused them to get even near the relegation area and stay there for a long time. They tried to solve this problem with a couple of manager changes. Sampaoli wasn't the one for the team according to his results during his time but it was still a risk to change their manager after a short time in the middle of the season. Luka Modric has achieved almost everything as a player. He may not have been fortunate in national colors but as a club player, he has won all. I also expected him to move to the US major league or Saudi Arabia Super League. But surprisingly he is staying in Madrid for another year. He once said that he would like to retire in Real Madrid. He is driven by his love for Real Madrid and not money. Coach Carlo Ancelotti said that he wants Modric to stay so that some young midfielders will be able to learn from him. Saudi league has become the best place to retire from playing in professional football. His mind can change anytime. Football was actually dynamic. It's unlikely modric will try to go to the saudi league this time but you can't sure if he will still try to stay next season. Previously Modric actually want to get retired if Croatia be the champion of UEFA Nation League but because he was failed to bringing this team on the final match and lose from Spain then possibly he won't be retired yet with Croatia because Modric want to bringing Croatia advance to Euro 2024 and playing for the last time in that tournament and for his club career he has one year contract remaining with Real Madrid so maybe a bit early to says his final decision after his contract ended because everything could be possibly to happend but Modric last year has been said he will thinking to retired with Madrid and next year Modric will be 38 years old and i think most likely he will be retired after season 2024 ended
