Monaco won away with a single goal. Strasbourg haven't won for 8 weeks and have fallen into the relegation zone. They now need to do something if they want to stay in the league. Yesterday, Strasbourg lost against Monaco and we can say that we are entering important weeks for Strasbourg. Monaco increased their points tally to 45 with this win and moved up to 3rd place after Lille's draw.
Lille failed to beat Rennes in a tough encounter. The away team Rennes started the match quickly. Rennes scored in the first minute and increased the difference to 2 in the 20th minute. Lille, who entered the last minutes in a stressful way, managed to get a draw by scoring 2 goals with Jonathan David in the last 8 minutes.

We will have another good match with Lille able to fight back in the last few minutes after conceding 2 goals early in the match, but these two points are going to hurt them badly near the end of this season while they were also doing good for the top four.

PSG has been getting three draws in a row now and yet nobody is getting even remotely close, this is why PSG becomes champions every year. I mean normally that is 6 points lost in total, and how many points difference between the second place? 10 points. So, this club could basically have equal to 2 losses in 3 games, and the difference still doesn't become single digits.

This is why I believe that they are going to be fine, yeah the results "feels" like that is not what PSG should get, and sometimes feels like they should have won all three, but why would they? Who cares about it really, not like they are going to lose the title, they could finish the rest of the season with just full draws, never a win or loss, and they may still be the title winners. 9 games left, that means 9 points, the difference is 19 points in that case, meaning in 9 games Brest would have to win at least 7, and that is not going to happen.

As long as the other clubs in Ligue 1 cannot improve their overall game and cannot show a good level of consistency, then as long as Paris Saint Germain will be comfortable continuing to dominate Ligue 1. Lille still has a chance to qualify for the Champions League next season, so they will really fight for that until the end of the season. So far there are at least 6 teams still fighting to qualify for the Champions League and that includes Lille, Lens, Nice, Marseille, Brest and Monaco. These teams have a low points gap and they still have a chance to secure a position in the European zone including the Champions League.

PSG is safe to be considered to have qualified for the Champions League, in fact I no longer think PSG will face a real threat of losing their title this season after they managed to lead the standings with a gap of 10 points above Brest. PSG are title favourites, that has allowed them to get better focus on the Champions League this season.

The competition to win a place in the Champions League is more interesting in the Ligue 1, because PSG is too dominant in the race for trophies, a number of competing clubs will not be able to pressure PSG to lead the standings. It's a shame to see Nice, they are now experiencing setbacks after competing with PSG at the start of the season. Brest and Monaco must try to maintain their position in the top three, there are fewer matches remaining and we will see PSG win the trophy again this season.

We have 4 spots for the Ligue 1 in Champions League one is already fixed for the PSG and other three are going to have interesting fight till end because French League is unpredictable with things can take any change as few weeks back we have Nice at the second spot and this was sure they are going to stay here until end of this season but suddenly now they are going down and have no chance for fight back Lens is doing impressive job for another season in the top four, and we already have Brest at the second spot and Monaco at the third spot.

But nothing is still sure who is going to stay because Marseille is also doing good job, and they can also jump into these spots and Lille is also had good run even they are not good as needed for the Champions League but still all is unpredictable about the three spots who are going to be spotted it's going to be happened at the end.

Indeed it's quite dissapointing to see Nice recent performance because i thought they can playing more consistent and stayed at runner up place for much longer but Nice has lost their consistency and the records 4 loses and 1 draw from 5 latest matches has been make Nice position is gradually down to 6th place so Nice have to bounce back immediately because if they can't able to do that then their chances to finish at Champion league zone is getting more hard and this week Nice also has hard match because they have to playing against Lens

I think Lens potentially can make Nice get in trouble because although Lens performance is not really good compared to last season but at least Lens recently can able to gets 2 winning streak in Ligue 1 against tough teams and the latest is Lens can successfully to win from Brest and broke the winning streak from Brest so i think this result can boosted Lens morale to facing Nice this week and according to the odds between both teams i can see Lens is the favourite and let see it whether Lens can able to extended their winning streak or Nice who can able to bounce back but my predictions is Lens have good chances to win this match

It will be more interesting if Lille beats Brest because if that happens, then ofcourse Brest, Monaco and Lille will have a gap of 1 point. But yes, if for example Lille beat Brest and Monaco beat Lorient, then Monaco becomes the second-placed team with a better points advantage . But,if the match between Brest v Lille ends in a draw, then it will leave Lille with a slightly widergap and that will leave Lille behind in the competition . With such a scenario, then I am more expecting Lille to win against Brest in the next Ligue 1 match, although it at least helps Monaco to overtake Brest but at least Lille still has a chance to overtake Brest and be in the top three with PSG, Monaco and Lille.

Le Havre had been struggling to win for 6 weeks. Yesterday, Le Havre managed to end their 6-week winless streak with a one-goal victory against Toulouse. Le Havre certainly deserved the win as they played a better game compared to their opponents.
In the meeting of 2 teams in the relegation zone, the winner was Metz. Metz are in a race with their rivals and they want to make the most of their chance to stay in the relegation zone. With this win they managed to take 2 steps ahead of their opponent.

During the last games, Le Havre had a bad performance and recently they won the game against Toulouse after weeks of bad results in this team. But I don't think if this can be a good reason to say Le Havre can win other games they are going to have against teams like Clermont Foot even if we all know Clermont Foot is a team on the downside of the French Leaguean they are the last team with the worst result they could ever get.
Clermont Foot got only 17 points so far in all 25 games we saw from this team during this season and in the last five games they had, they lost three games and they had two draws. That's why Maybe that's a wise move to bet on Le Havre for this match.

Strasbourg declined a lot and they are 3 points away from the relegation zone and one point from the relegation play-offs. Such position is unsustainable and they have to start winning again especially against Nantes this week. All their remaining games up to April are against top teams except maybe Toulouse which is a medium one, yet above them.
Monaco and Brest are competing for the second spot while PSG trying to confirm the title before a couple of rounds. There Marseille that are pushing their way up and Nice that lost control totally on their results!

Strasbourg which was doing impressive in early rounds suddenly have serious problems and now struggling for keeping their spot into safe zone in last 7 games they have no win with 5 defeats and 2 draw making their life worst because if they keep going like this for few more weeks we will have them into relegation zone and things will be terribly down for them next game against Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire Nantes which is also in relegation zone try his best for the coming out of this jail can bring Strasbourg to their place.

We have serious downfall in quality of the Ligue 1 teams which is surely needed to be fixed before it's too late because mostly teams are fail to attracted big names due to lack of funds and now things are going awful.

Consistency is needed to enable them to maintain their current position, because the distance between them and the teams below them is still quite close and that poses a real threat to Monaco. LOSC and Lens are below them with only a 3 point difference. If Monaco falls even once then it is very possible that they will be moved from their current position in the standings.
Actually, at the moment they are not completely consistent, it's just that it can be covered by other teams who are also experiencing the same thing, if there were a team that was more consistent I think they probably wouldn't be in this position now. Every match before the end of the season will be very determining for their position.

I think Clermont can make a surprise in this match. Le Havre is in a better situation, but Clermont will now want to stop the bad trend and maybe they will try hard to win if they have a home crowd advantage. As a surprise, this possibility may be for betting. Apart from that, playing with a handicap also sounds reasonable.

Failing to get 3 points in the match against Reims does not change PSG current position because in other matches Brest which is the closest team to PSG also failed to win points, I think there is nothing wrong with backing up Mbappe at this time because it is a team need, at this time we all know if Mbappe no longer has the loyalty to play 100% with PSG because of all the speculation that is happening at the moment,  In addition, if you look at PSG's last two games, then you can see that the role and even the impact that Mbappe has had on the team is so small that I think even if Mbappe plays from the start it will not have a big effect on PSG.

Before  Le Havre won the match they were very close to the relegation zone, so wining the match was able to push them more higher away from the relegation zone, so they were actually lucky to have won the match because Toulouse has been doing well more than them and even on the league table but it just happen that Toulouse was unable to beat them on that match, perhaps I don't know if they were underestimating  Le Havre because of there position on the league table, however  Le Havre points now is very close to Toulouse, although  Le Havre need to enhance there performance the more because if they failed they may likely drop down to there previous position on the table, so they need to improve on there wining because they still have a very close points with Montpelier, Strasbourg, Lorient and Nantes, so wining is there only way to secure a good position for themselves.

PSG's position at the top of the standings can no longer be disturbed by other teams in Ligue 1 because by collecting 56 points it can be ascertained that the league trophy and also one Champions League ticket are theirs, the competition at PSG has actually long ended in the fight for rank 1 and as usual PSG remains firmly at the top of the standings, currently an interesting competition only occurs between ranks 2 and 6 in the standings in grabbing the remaining two automatic tickets to qualify for the Champions League and also One playoff ticket.

So far there are still 5 teams competing namely brest (2), monaco (3), lille (4), lens (5), and Nice who are ranked 6, at this time maybe many of us think Nice have been out of competition due to their poor performance in recent weeks, but in fact they are currently still very strong 6th place with 40 points and only 6 points behind brest, I think by being 1 or 2 points apart from one team to another, it is certain that the competition for Champions League tickets is certainly very interesting than seeing PSG run alone towards the championship trophy this season in Ligue 1.

The season started and some teams showed greAt strengths on how they can perform especially giving PSG some challenges and we thought we’ll be seeing a big threat to PSG dominance. Well poor formation of the club has resulted in this team dropping down to around 5th. PSG still remains very dominant of the league and is leading the league with over 10 points with about 12 matches to go to end the league. This is one reason why this league is considered a farmers league because the competition to throw off psg as league champions isn’t there.

 This season we are throwing our light there as we’re having one interesting competition of who will be going to the UCL next season happening there. We can see how the teAms between 2nd to 5th are having similar points. This is the kind of competition we wish would be happening between league leaders PSG And other clubs to end it’s dominance but it’s quite impressive as it’s a step in the right direction. One thing the clubs must do is after this kind of challenge, they should brace themselves up for next season as they can be able to deal with PSG and challenge for the title.

 For the battle for the UCL spot it’s quite a fierce one and I have my predictions on who will join. I also have to say that the teams after getting the ticket, they should endeavor on building a great squad that will be able to challenge in that competition. The teams that are good to go through are Brest and either Monaco or Lille. Either Monaco or Lille or both of them will be great participants of the UCL next season and they have the experience too and I hope them being in the Ucl Will be a boost for them to build a great squad next season. As building a great squad will also help them to challenge Psg for the league title next season.

 See, my words yesterday came true today where PSG managed to be held to a draw by Reims even in today's match and even PSG must be willing to fall behind first with a goal at the beginning of the first half scored by Munetsi in the 7th minute.

As I said before Reims' counter-attacks are quite fast and if PSG don't pay too much attention to that then they will be troubled because indeed the speed on both sides of the Reims attack is always troublesome for their opponents.
This should be a situation where the match is used as a lesson by PSG because even though their individual skills and strength are superior, in the end they still have many gaps that can be penetrated by the opposing club including when PSG tries to control the rhythm of the attack which makes them unaware of their defense having problems in the match.
A score of 1 point when playing home and when PSG is the favorite in my opinion it is an adverse condition but it is still quite fortunate that they did not lose points in today's match.

PSG was held to a 2-2 draw by Reims and this is a big setback especially in the club’s performance as their performance isn’t in the best stage at the moment. This performance isn’t seen as Psg’s best as you can see how they struggled in this match. When comparing both teams, you’ll see that Psg is very clear off Reims but that didn’t show in the way they performed in that match. As in that match PSG struggled to keep up with the game plan of Reims and were Lucky to earn a draw. This is their 3rd straight domestic draw and this doesn’t speak well of the team as this could have easily landed them under pressure if they were not over 10 points clear the 2nd on the log.

 I think PSG has to up their game especially as we now see how the coach is trying to play without Kylian, so as to let the team get used to they style. Kylian was rested after scoring the 2 goals for the club during midweek UCL win against Real Sociedad which saw PSG able to go through with an aggregate score of 4-1. PSG fell off due to an error from Hakimi and that was an early goal that started the dent on the team’s performance yesterday. PSG gave some goals and were also gifted some but in all what was very noticeable was the way they pressed as a team and they couldn’t just get it right to go 12 points clear. Though Brest who are their closest challenger fell to a 1-0 loss, this means all is well as regarding the title.

Yeah thats true, even though the match ended in a draw it was still a setback because it was detrimental that they played home with strong determination but couldn't take full points against a club whose quality was far behind them .

Even if this still wont shake their dominance in Ligue 1 and the trophy race but still things like this should be more minimized because in any case a draw or loss for PSG in Ligue 1 is a bit outrageous even though we are aware that in a season and in every match defeat and victory is a natural thing but still for me it is quite disturbing .

Their performance is  not much different in every match because after all they still have a very strong dominance for a club in the game on the field, its just that sometimes there are some small problems such as in finishing and defense that is sometimes weak which is difficult for them to change until now.

After all, previously Le Havre was also in the relegation zone with 24 points, however, the victory that Le Havre got against Toulouse meant that Le Havre managed to get three points and moved its position up and out of the relegation zone. Therefore, I think Le Havre also does not have better quality than Clermont for the nextmatch. So yes, basically Le Havre is just a promoted team and that still won't make it easy for Le Havre to beat Clermont later. Because afterall, Le Havre will also play away against Clermont later and yes, at least this factor will also make it difficult for Le Havre to beat Clermont. Because, even though Clermont is only at the bottom of the standings, sometimes Clermont also manages to end the match with a draw.

I am very disappointed with PSG's draw, they are really not worth placing bets on, even though PSG are very favorites, they don't seem to have much motivation to win the match.

Enrique bet on not using Mbappe from the start. It seems he wants to get used to being without Mbappe present.
