True, Newcastle now cannot be underestimated because after they were acquired by Sheikh Arab their improvement is obvious.
In the first season they managed to get out of the relegation zone and were in the mid-table and in the second season (last season) they got better and even in the Champions League zone which of course this should be a notice for other clubs considering Newcastle is currently an underdog that must be watched out for.
This season they lost Allan Saint Maximin for going to an Arab club but they have also managed to bring in Barnes as a replacement and of course there is the name Tonali who could now be a highlighted player at Newcastle.

Newcastle United has spent a lot of money recently. And i definitely think that the money is going to show results.  Obviously i am not saying that they are certainly going to be the winner of the English Premier League or the Champions League. Nevertheless, it is undeniable that the caliber of players they have procured will undeniably augment the squad's overall quality to a significant extent.

The sheer fact of their participation in the upcoming Champions League competition speaks volumes about the remarkable progress the team has achieved within a very short time.  Hence, I am in complete agreement that it would be unwise for anyone, be it an individual or a club, to underestimate the magnitude of their capabilities.

Right, I agree with what you said because for now they are still developing and I think for now it is still difficult to say they will challenge the title because of course we also have to be aware that the composition of their squad also still needs a few additional players to make that happen and for the next few seasons they will still continue to overhaul until they get the perfect composition and when that happens it is possible that in the next few seasons we will see a more luxurious squad that will change its status from an underdog to a favorite club of potential champions.

But that would be great, because I feel it would be a situation where they would be more motivated because if the performance drops and they have a lot of money when the players are not doing their job well then leaving the club is a certainty because Newcastle is trying to be a strong contender.
On the other hand, this should also serve as a wake-up call for the big clubs. Newcastle today is not the Newcastle of old where they were just a complementary club but today they are really a club that could be in the next few seasons a strong candidate for the championship even though now it is still a dark horse club.

Currently, I don't think anybody will like to underestimate Newcastle next season because of their last season's performances, in which they tried to be among the Premier League's best top four last season, which made them qualify and play in the Champions League, where the best teams in different leagues meet. With this Champions League qualification, I believe people will not underestimate them. In fact, to me, Newcastle will still perform better next season, especially in Premier League competition, because they don't sell out their key players, which is what many average teams always do when they see any season they perform well, like Leicester City did in 2015/2016. Leicester was a great team that year and was supposed to continue being a great team, but when they decided to sell their key player, they became a weak team again.

But it's a risk because if Newcastle don't sell players then it's possible they'll just be running in place.
Not that with their current squad they are weak but of course they have to look for the best and at least a star player should be there to change their current status.
Although indeed to become a champion not only star players are important factors but at least with them having players above average for individual skills then it will be very good for Newcastle.

Eddie Howe is an excellent coach. Newcastle were a bottom-of-the-table team. No one imagined that this team would qualify for the Champions League. Eddie Howe has been able to stabilize this team. There were no star players in the squad. Even then, the team was at the top of the points table due to the understanding between the players and good match strategy.

Eddie Howe believes in going slow. And strengthening the team gradually makes it last longer. Perhaps this is why Eddie Howe is in no rush to strengthen his squad. I wouldn't have high hopes for Newcastle in the Champions League next season. But expect this team to fight for the top four of the Premier League table.

Not to downplay how good Eddie Howe is/was but to be fair after they were sold to the Saudi family, I feel like it wasn't really that shocking that they would become better. They have spent, over 70 million just for this seasons transfers so far and they may do more, over 170 million last season to get this result, and another 130 million the year before that to get out of relegation zone as well.

So when you think about it, they have spent 300 million to get the results they have gotten so far and I bet that they are going to spend another 100+ million by the looks of things as well this year. When you spend that much money, that usually returns a good result. Of course you could also be like Chelsea, so Eddie did alright.

Congratulations to Arsenal FC for winning the English community shield and their first silverware for the season. After been beaten by Manchester City for 8 conservative times, Arteta has finally broken the jinx with a stalemate. It looks like the game was over and the cup was heading towards City's until a late minute strike from Trossard was deflected by Akanji, and found the back of the net to put the gunners back in the game. Arsenal scored all penalty shootout while 1 missed from KD and 1 save from Ramsdale gave the gunners the victory.

At this moment 78 minutes of the game have passed but neither team has managed to score a goal so far the result of the match is 0-0 so far. Compared to last season, Arsenal have made some improvements in their game which is clearly evident in this match. On the other hand, Manchester City's performance shows some weakness. We don't see the same performance as we saw from Manchester City last season in this match. After only 10 minutes of the game, the referee will decide how many more minutes the game will be played. In this match, there is really a tough fight between the two teams, let's see which team wins in the end.

While you were writing this post we have a goal from super substitute Palmer with the help of best assist provider De Bruyne even Arsenal done good job in second half but still fail to find any goal and now this one goal is going to be winner for the Champions Citizens which are going to have fourth trophy after having treble in last season.

Right now, we are in injury time and most chances now we are not going to have any change in scoreline both teams provide the best entertainment to fans and with this game and match things looking impressive in Premier League because most of the teams are having quality players, and they will provide best games of the season as well.

What a lucky victory for the gunners with a wonderful penalty shoot out by Gunners. This is the 7th time that they have won it. It is very fantastic to see how happy Arsenal is to secure the FA community shield. They have faced Manchester city three times and they won all matches.

It was a shock on Manchester city to see that the game was equalised by Arsenal with a deflection from Kanji. Today luck isn't on Manchester city's side and they loss two penalties. Football is all about luck when the two teams are strong. Manchester city has seen it that they can't be victorious all the time. This is a new season and I think we still have a lot of surprises this season.

In the end my favorite club made a huge improvement when in last minute they equalized and ended with a successful penalty.
Arteta pleased this time to see that his clubs performance has started to improve and this proof that Arsenal are very enthusiastic about exploring other competitions and are able to compete with any club in this premier league.
I saw that City were not too bad but there seemed to be some inconsistency in the second minute and this made it possible for the Arsenal players to break through City goal.
If this happened in a champions league match it would be very dangerous and even Haaland as a mainstay player could not perform well in this match as if he had a decrease in the quality of his performance.
I hope this season Arsenal can compete strongly to maintain their performance and can always be consistent.

It shows that Arsenal has improved a lot despite City dominating the ball possession as always yet as some other people pointed out,they were left not with the best defenders after some transfer of their players,anyway the goal scored by City through Palmer was a great one while Arsenal was also lucky having scored in the 102 minute of the game as that is what makes of 12 minutes extra time with the new regulations of soccer from sometime now we see such long minutes added time.

In penalties anyone can win but having gotten the first trophy of the season I am sure it will be a great boost to Arsenal while they start the season this year not longer than the upcoming Saturday.

I have never doubted the ability of Arsenal to play a very good football. In fact last season, Arsenal was supposed to win the English Premier League title. If not for the fact that they did not have a good squad depth. They kept using their good players to a time that they could no longer perform at their peak because of fatigue. If Arsenal can strengthen their team this season, they have a very good chance to win the English Premier League title. The of today should be an eye-opener to everyone about what is going to happen in this season English Premier League this season.

Mikel Arteta still defending with Kai Havertz as main striker than replace him with Eddie Nketiah, left more than 40 minutes later actually will get change due Arsenal not any player change on first half. Arsenal under pressure from Manchester City on the first half with ball possession dominance but Arsenal leaded with shot on target. Until 90 minutes without any goals from both teams between Arsenal or Manchester City match automatically extend with penalty kick. I hope left 40 minutes both teams can scoring goals and less creativity with goals scoring due Arsenal and Manchester City are teams typical with attacking than defensive.

I thought the game would be more easier for the cityzens, but everything changed within time. Gunners got new players and new game performance. The results is still a surprise to me, watching Gunners taking the game to next level, tying their opponents down in the first half, 76minutes without a goal from both sides. The game still 0-0, Manchester City keep dominating and putting more pressure on Arsenal. Mikel Arteta standing up to Pep Guardiola this time, with fierce performance from both sides. City keeps pressuring, while gunners keeps defending, so the game is quite understandable and balanced.

I watched the match from beginning till the end Arsenal had really improved on their game with their new signings the trio of  Timber, Havertz and Declan Rice live up to expectations especially Timber who was very solid at the left back shortly after he was substituted Man City scored the opening goal by Palmer, however I think Man City had a slight domination compared to their previous meetings when they used to take most of the possessions and Haaland was kept quiet in most part of the match, winning the community shield will boost the morale of Arsenal players in readiness for the league proper next weekend.

When he came on for the game, the commentator said that he was recovering from a hamstring injury that was why he did not start in the game, so that's a good reason for it. But Arsenal did not win because Manchester City did not play well, Arsenal team simply did not just allow the Manchester City win, they kept trying to score until the last minute and it worked out. Also Arsenal were able to win in the penalty because they were prepared for it from the preseason games they played because they played penalties regardless of whatever the result was. Happy for Arsenal, they were not embarrassed again by Manchester City.

It was an interesting game to watch because there were a lot of chances that were missed by both Arsenal and Manchester City, but at the end, Arsenal players were able to show some resistance and improve their performance in the last minutes of the game, which helped them secure a draw, and luckily they won in penalties.

I have to say, Arsenal was really lucky to be able to score on the 11th minute of the added extra time. Now of course they did work really hard to actually be able to level the score. But I have to say they were very lucky. Bad luck for Manchester City I would say. It was definitely looking like Manchester City is going to take the win. But at the same time I have to say it was really bad penalty shootout by Manchester City. They certainly should have done better.

But of course, it was great performance from Arsenal. They have started the season on a great note. Let’s see if they can continue performing well like this going forward.

In fact throughout the game time it was evident that the teams were playing at the same level, no wonder not many goals were scored. I also don't understand about such a big extra time, there were few pauses and not so big that would add 11 minutes, but it played into Arsenal's hands. New owners with abundant money do not make Newcastle not so much in the transfer window now, they like to save or because they want to achieve the old process?

I think Chelsea is worse than Liverpool despite only finishing for the Europa League, Chelsea has no competition in Europe.
Liverpool for me is now a little more recovered, I know it is still a possibility.

I am not surprised by Arsenal's success regarding the Community Shield title. Arsenal have won 17 titles in that competition (including this one), while Manchester City have won just 6. Pep Guardiola has won 2 titles with Manchester City for the Community Shield title in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. But today's failure may not be what they wanted.

Arteta has improved Arsenal's form but about today I think Arsenal really got lucky with late goals. I'm not sure why the referee had to give 11 minutes to injury time in the second half, but this seems odd for a final. But I don't see any issue about that that's worth arguing about, so Arsenal and his success with the title deserves credit.
