Even if I’m pretty confident of a Manchester City win in the first game of the new season against Burnley, I like to keep an open mind. Burnley may surprise us all and come out with a win or perhaps hold Man City to a draw. Burnley may not be a strong team and compared to Man City, they’re seen as no challenge at all. But there are times where the seemingly lower team goes ahead to win the game against a tougher opponent. We could perhaps see that in this game.
I’m hoping to see Burnley play good football after having worked hard and later being promoted to the EPL. Even if they lose their first game to City, they’re still lots of games to play and prove themselves.

It is really unbelievable that Liverpool intervened in the last minute for Caicedo by paying 10 more million pounds.    Chelsea must be devastated after Brighton accepted Liverpool's offer as final. Brighton were going to accept the highest offer until the end of the day as far as I have read.

So Chelsea will need to find a new alternative to Caicedo from now on. After this news I'm curious about whether Chelsea can still go for Lavia. Because Liverpool have already agreed with Caicedo who is another defensive midfielder. They might drop their interest in Lavia maybe.

Chelsea is still trying to improve the team for the next season and they sent a 55m for Roméo Lavia and Southampton, this player is very young and he is just a 19-year-old player who can be a good investment for Chelsea because if they hire this player from Southampton and he improves his performance in Chelsea, Lavia can even have better performance in the next years.

Is that real? I thought that if chelsea's bid was aruond 48m. It's 2 millions less from what already demanded by southampton. Liverpool has sent 45m - 46m bid for lavia.
Southampton may only pick the one who has its bid very close to the price that already demanded by the club. I would prefer to see chelsea secures olise from crystal palace first rather than going to the lavia.

It seems the first goal for Chelsea in the new season was not to sell older players but to have players like Lavia at younger ages.

Chelsea is still having so many old players that need to be sold in summer like lukaku, ziyech. The club just tries to do regeneration. Let's see what's gonna be the result of all bids from chelsea.

Chelsea was one of the most expensive teams in the premier league in the last season while after selling the players they didn't actually need, now Chelsea is a younger and cheaper team. I have a problem with Brightons valuation of their players, Chelsea have been well interested in sealing this deal, but Brighton were asking for too much money imo, i don't think Caicedo is worth the amount that Brighton were asking for him. Liverpool are in desperate need of midfielders and that's prolly why they didn't mind hijacking this deal from Chelsea, but £110m for Moises Caicedo is just absolutely insane.

Having said that, i don't mind if Chelsea missed out on this player, i think they should go after more affordable options, but with the way the transfer market is going, sooner rather than later, there'd be no decent player who will be affordable.

It would be better for Liverpool to focus more on recruiting Lavia or any other midfielder who's rated to be brilliant, because it's a lot cheaper than Caicedo, and a club shouldn't be spending too much money on such a not-so-special player, and if Caicedo joins Chelsea at that price then Chelsea has become a very extravagant club for the past two seasons and without good achievements this club's finances will be in trouble in a couple seasons.

Their team strength and focus along with their motivation from their Community Shield loss do undoubtedly point to a successful performance. Betting on their achievement seem sensible especially given their resolve to get a good job and have a level head. Even though the loss of key players may provide difficulties Erling haland presence gives their offensive strategy more hope. Oh my God, football is a very profitable business. Brighton signed the Ecuador international for £4.5m from Independiente del Valle in 2021. Now he is moving for a whopping £111m. Moises Caicedo was a prime target of both Chelsea and Bayern Munich with the latter willing to pay £90m and the former £100m. But Chelsea has not lost hope of signing the midfielder. Brighton has accepted Liverpool's offer but they are still open for higher bids. Chelsea can still outsmart Liverpool if they make a higher bid and make the player insist that he wants to move to Stamford Bridge. But this might be a difficult task because the player has been scheduled for medicals today.

With the profit from this deal, Brighton will be able to buy less expensive quality players that can improve the team. These players will be groomed for big money spenders. But I also don't rule out that Burnley is a club trying to become a defensive club after they struggled to get into the Premier League. Even though the final result Burnley had to lose in the match later, the most important thing is that they have gained a lot of experience to be able to make their debut in the Premier League again against this year's champion club. So in my opinion it doesn't matter if Burnley loses badly, because what they have to make an important point is to be motivated that competing in the Premier League is not easy.

And another factor for City's good game is that they lost in the Super Cup to Arsenal recently... Burnley will lose without a chance...

I think that Chelsea in this coming season would have a serious lapse in their defence line. If I were to compare between them and Liverpool, I would go with Liverpool having a better performance and would bet on them winning over Chelsea any day.
We haven't even talked about how Lukaku is making a way out and a new manager with a new strategy to please, else be fired!?

Manchester City are an important team and they have strengthened their defence by reinforcing Gvardiol. Still, I think Arsenal is a team that can compete with them. Both teams had competitive matches last year. Even though Arsenal haven't been successful in their last period, I can say that Manchester City is the most difficult opponent. I think we can see a rivalry between the two teams this year as well.

Arteta will definitely try to compete with Guardiola, but my guess is that Arsenal will have a downturn at some point. You see how Guardiola brings the team to the peak, at the beginning of the season they don't always have the best game, but towards the end of the season they reach their optimal form and I think this is a very correct strategy.

Arsenal, on the contrary, started the season very well, but in the most crucial period, at the end of the season, they lost all advantage, conceded too many goals and as a result lost the championship to City. If Arteta does not change anything and everything repeats again, then most likely the result will be the same.

I think Arteta gained significant experience from last year and will warn his players about this. Manchester City were lucky because last year Arsenal have been losing in the league with huge inconsistencies lately. I don't think we will follow the same scenario this year. I don't think there's anyone who's having any sort of doubt that Manchester City is going to win this game by a wide margin because the quality of players in this Manchester City squad can never be compared to that of Burnley.
Burnley who won the English championship last season we definitely want to prove a point but I think that they will be totally outclassed by Manchester City so I think it will be a direct win if anybody should want to stake his money on the game

Usually the team that goes up to the first division will be more aggressive even though we know Man City is more favored as an away opponent, but I'm sure Burnley will not let them concede more for the first match.

I think it will be a 1-2 score in that prediction, but anything can happen considering the opponent is Man City who is stronger than other teams, yes I am not coming to this opponent weak but the victory will be in Mancity as the best team?

Never assume excessive expectation from Manchester City because it is the opening game of the season, and there are a lot of objectives from fans and gamblers. Some people are currently putting wagers on the game for tonight, but the majority of individuals believe Manchester City will come out on top. They will always control the game as usual, and Pep Guardiola always expects to win his first game.
