Tottenham has an edge on the ball possession and total shots, but they can't maximize it. I feel bad for Maddison, he's good but Richarlison can't even score any goal as a striker. I'd think it's either Brentford will win or the match will end in draw, Tottenham played very poor, the departure of Harry Kane is really major effect to Tottenham.

Well.. First game and new era at Tottenham, so a draw is not a bad result in my opinion. Yet Tottenham had the same problem dominating possession and not doing enough of it. Tottenham simply cannot rely on Richarlison (overhyped), so every outfield player must be able to score goals.

Bissouma was a baller but he didn't score. Same with Perisic, Madison, Kulu etc. I don't know what he's doing, captain and he hasn't been able to give his best in the first match of the EPL League. I think Tottenham players in some moments have to be selfish, if you get a chance, shoot, forget about passing. Beautiful football is good but Tottenham need goals. In the end, Tottenham won a decent point, kept going and advanced to the next game.

Brentfort 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur.

A beautiful game with a point shared apiece by both teams. An impressive debut for Madisson who ran the strings in his first competitive game for Tottenham Hotspur. A bad captaincy debut for Son who forced a penalty kick for brentford in the match.

Theres so much to worry about from both teams, Tottenham Hotspur will get smashed if they open up like today against top team, brentford performance fell off after half time as well.

The bigger question, what is wrong with Richardlison!

Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool

An interesting tie with both sides having a goal ruled out to offside, first from Salah; then Chilwell. From this tie, Liverpool need caicedo more as he improves their performances in the middle of the park. Caicedo won't fix half of chelsea problems, the Caicedo lad better flee from Chelsea team. Average end to end performance from both sides.

Based on the match between Chelsea vs Liverpool both teams did a good job. Chelsea actually looked slick, it's just that the front line is still a little dull, maybe because the striker's position is not very reliable for finishing.

My previous prediction turned out to be correct, Chelsea vs Liverpool ended in a draw. Goals from M Salah and Chilwell were annulled by the referee as offside, had this been legal then the final position would have been 2-2. The game was running fierce and running with high intensity, Chelsea was more dominant in possession. Axel Disasi made his debut in style, equalizing for Chelsea thanks to a goal in the 37th minute.

Previously, Liverpool was more favored, naturally I think because Klopp existence is very influential because of his experience. Salah was a little annoyed in the match earlier because Klopp replaced him with Elliot.

The match was finished with a draw against Liverpool, and in my opinion this was very good for the start of Chelsea's journey, I saw them very excited in this match and they played very well and with full possession. As we know that almost completely on every side Chelsea play with new players who have been brought in by Pochettino, well as you said that I also initially thought Chelsea would perform poorly and even worse than the previous season. But when I saw them play on the pitch today, I saw something new, and with this I will say that Pochettino is the right coach for Chelsea with various problems there, seeing this match I think we can already see how serious Pochettino is in working.

I didn't expect Newcastle to destroy Aston Villa so easily and this 5-1 big win put Newcastle on top of the table on goal difference. Aston Villa failed to live up to my expectations and of course some people's because this team was pretty good with last season's results and also some additional ammunition they got this summer to continue to develop their existing game.

In my opinion, Chelsea's game was quite good, especially their defense which was very solid and confused Liverpool's players and made it difficult for them to shoot at Chelsea's goal.
And maybe a lot of substitutions to create new strategies or tactics because the score is tied towards the end of the game, it's the coach's job to change that. And in this game, it looks like Chelsea is better than Liverpool.

I never expected them to draw in today's encounter but it seems like without their key striker (Harry Kane) is going to be very difficult for them to come back to that competitive era. If they continue to play around like this I believe that in the next 5 games they're going to be in the second half of the table.

IMO, because that's the case. Chelsea, do not have a player who is able to become an established goal-scoring machine for their squad. not much can be expected from Nicolas Jackson, but we'll see how it goes in their next matches, because it's unfair to judge him in such a short time. even so, at least the system implemented by Pochettino worked as it did even though the game ended in a 1-1 draw. But Chelsea was the better side in the second half took most of the possessions and mounted pressure on  Liverpool defence line unfortunately their final third was very poor Sterling, Jackson and Modryk couldn't convert their chances, however there is positive improvement on the team and a good job by Pochettino I hope the team sustain this performance in the subsequent matches.

I think these are some of the new rules in EPL a player must not show gesture or complain to the referee when fowl each player from both teams were shown a yellow card for that attitude and time wasting also attract a yellow card and addition of enough extra time.

Based on their performance in their opening match, they need to tighten up their belt in order to become more competitive in the Premier League this season because they sold out some players that are very important to the team and need immediate replacements, and the team in general needs more quality players.

For now, I feel that Tottenham can actually still create some options in their attack despite the absence of Kane there but there are still some players like Son, Kulusevski, Maddison and Richalrison who can and are still quite good in attack even though the finishing is a little reduced but it can still be forced just looking at some other conditions for the defence it seems a little complicated in my opinion.
Their defence still has many gaps. Brentford's 2 goals came from 11 shots and 8 on target all when Brentford only had 30 per cent possession.

This will clearly be a problem if Tottenham let it continue to drag on because with Brentford opponents alone they are very troubled what if the stronger opponents they face.

It's too early to judge though but in my opinion Chelsea did not impress me, they had made numerous signings and to Liverpool who did not make as much signing as they did to be leading them in the game before Chelsea came back to pull back a draw.

The league may be early but it has already started taking shape, I would put my money on the potentials of the league title being dragged between Manchester city and arsenal and Newcastle would still make it to the top four. And the next position might now be between Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester united.

It was an obvious choice, Son was the second best player (one could argue he was the best) on that team and has been with them for many many years, which means that after Kane left, he was the one that deserved it the most without a doubt.

I still think Spurs should have sold Son as well, like blow up the whole team and build from start, getting 100+ million for Kane means they could get at least 70 million for Son as well, maybe more who knows. That way they could have gotten some younger great players and not just one or two, they could have done like 4 or even 5 depending on how much money they would make. That would have made them quite strong. In any case, they now lack the top scorer, but have money to buy someone else.

The second half was clearly with the advantage of Chelsea, but what's the point if they didn't manage to win this match, it's possible against such an opponent and a draw is not such a bad result. In the current situation, Pochettino has achieved really good results, considering how many good players have left the team. It is difficult to say something for Liverpool, they started well but ooked worse in the second half, as if they were tired, perhaps their physical condition at the beginning of the season is far from optimal. In any case, these teams again play to a draw and end up in the middle of the standings.
