The game was great, despite the draw. Even if you look at the stats, you can see that Chelsea have improved, done the work to improve after a terrible season. Against a good team they had over 60% possession of the ball, were completely very good in attack, but apparently they lacked just a little bit to win. Overall, it's just the beginning of the season and it's too early to draw conclusions, but it's a good start.

A very good and impressive game for Chelsea and for Pochettino's debut as Chelsea manager, but i see Chelsea fans are very pleased, but they should not get ahead of themselves too much, it is definitely an improvement in performance from how they ended last season, but Liverpool themselves are a struggling team currently, so we'd see how well they (Chelsea) do against better tests.

Having said that, after today's game, it is obvious that the two teams still needs strengthening, and i am pretty sure they will be busy in the transfer market until the window shuts, Caicedo should be on his way to Stamford Bridge anytime soon, he will complement that midfield of Enzo and Gallagher, that should make them complete in midfield, and what is remaining is an orthodox striker who would then be the final piece of the jigsaw for the Blues.

There isn't too much reason to be euphoric about this result at this point. Or put differently, about the performance. It was well played and it also was against a team that we know can also destroy other teams, but it can't be denied that this was just a draw eventually and if they fail to win the next game, I think for both Liverpool and Chelsea it could be considered a bad start into the season. If they win their next game, it is ok to have 4 points after 2 games when the first one was against a strong team. But both feel the risk and the pressure here that they could fall behind after matchday 2 already.

For starters, actually this is not bad enough for Chelsea, they started with a draw. But this really makes sense because they are up against a big club too, Liverpool. In fact, they have a higher ball possession. However, their execution on the front lines is somewhat less than optimal. At least, they didn't lose to each other at the start of this season.

Both teams tried very well to maintain the score line by avoiding too many goals in the match because, as I predicted before the beginning of the match, I knew that each team would try to score goals; therefore, goal goal was my prediction for the match.

Liverpool's performance was not impressive because they have more Premier League-experienced players than Chelsea, which just signed some players that are yet to get to know the Premier League style of play.

I don’t think having some experience playing just in the Premier League matters a lot. A good and experienced player would still play good football irrespective of moving over to play in a new club and league.

I too had thought both teams could score a goal. I wasn’t quite sure who was going to come out the victor in that game and I agree with you. Liverpool didn’t play with much enthusiasm as I had envisaged. And in my opinion, they’re the lucky ones to have come out of that game with a draw. Chelsea played with some confidence and it showed with their time and possession with the ball.

Liverpool was very lucky that Chelsea was unable to win the game because they were in control of the game in the second half. Pochettino will work on the Chelsea this season because from their performance in this game it shows that he is capable of taking Chelsea to the lime light.

The game was in favour of Liverpool to have a draw with Chelsea at Stamford bridge. I can be very sure that Chelsea will be able to qualify to the champions league next season from their first game because it shows how zealous and serious they are to take the club to a great height this season.

I see a beautiful start from all clubs but the problem now is that all clubs are in form, once we get to the middle of the season a lot of clubs start fucking up, to some extent majority of Chelsea's player have improved i did not even expect sterling to play well today,  and also N. Jackson did play well, I did not expect  Chelsea to play well seriously and to some extent there was a lot of pressure on Liverpool, and it was now looking  as if Liverpool is confused, and it got to the extent even sallah was closely marked and when he was removed during the second half he was angry, and I still feel Chelsea is the list club to be scared of talk about Manchester city and others and Liverpool played well defensive game.

A draw between Chelsea and Liverpool shouldn't be a surprise since both teams are quite good but after all Chelsea are playing home so this considered as a bad result and Liverpool aren't happy either since they are supposed to be better than Chelsea if we take on consideration what Chelsea went through in the past.
Spurs also got a draw vs Brentford. Such start seems promising for Tottenham

I too had thought both teams could score a goal. I wasn’t quite sure who was going to come out the victor in that game and I agree with you. Liverpool didn’t play with much enthusiasm as I had envisaged. And in my opinion, they’re the lucky ones to have come out of that game with a draw. Liverpool had more superior players in their line up today than Chelsea although both teams have players that are yet to understand each other more and that is what made the game the way it was. At the start of Every half Liverpool played better and could have scored more had Sallah been more proactive in the final third. The Liverpool midfield look disorientated with Gakpo missing in there, both Mac Allister and Sobo would have done better if given the advanced role. I now see why Liverpool are desperate for a defensive midfielder.

As for Chelsea they started each Half poorly and grew into the game and had more possession and Also should be the team disappointed with the result. Enzo Fernandez had is best game at Chelsea today playing the CM role and this is just a Glimpse of what to come when Caicedo arrives the bridge. Although Gallagher who might drop to the bench did extremely well today and also both debutants; Disasi and Jackson, aside Enzo any of them would have been the man of the match. Overall the match was entertaining and its is a sign that this Chelsea team will play an exciting football

 

If Tottenham continue this way, they may never play upto their standards again. Nothing is so wrong with the whole team rather it was wrong with Richarlison. I thought that this is the period for the Brazilian to show that he is capable and dependable to lead a club as the top striker. This is the first match and it is not right that we judge him with this.
Meanwhile, I applaud the performance of Maddison. He was a fire in the middle.

Richarlison hasn’t nothing to do in that match because he lacks service, yes is the pointed man at the moment but he is quite different with Kane who loves to drop dipper to push attack. In the game Richarlison didn’t have any impact because the only person creating chances for Tottenham was Maddison and also the Brentford defense were compacted well not to concede a goal. So till the next match against Manchester United then I wouldn’t say anything about this Tottenham team for now. They have improved their game against Ange but the goal conceding effect still affects the team

Since we are still in the first weeks of the league, I don't want to criticize too much. I actually liked Chelsea's game in this match. Because last season they had a hard time finding a position and carrying the ball to the opponent's court. Compared to the matches last season, they found a more comfortable position in this match.

I don't think Liverpool is ready for the league yet. They create a lot of chances, but they can't score. They cannot evaluate the positions they produce.

Since we are in the first weeks, we can watch such matches of big teams. I'm sure they will play better football every week.

Yeps - a draw is still reasonable to hope for considering I don't see the Chelsea vs Liverpool game as an easy one. Liverpool had a chance to win - so did Chelsea, but I'm disappointed with the result of that game, actually really hoping Liverpool can get 3 points.

I hope Mohamed Salah doesn't take his frustrations out on Jürgen Klopp too much and forgets about this day. Jürgen Klopp should try his luck by giving chances to other players when Liverpool have trouble scoring goals. I know Salah feel disappointed by the substitutions - but the coach also needs to try a few things for the team.

Liverpool have started poorly again just the way they start last season with poor performance which left them behind before they pick form and made it to Europa League at the end; the transfer window is still on; they need to sign more creative players to create good goal scoring chances for the team.

I'm honestly surprised to see Chelsea's progress their game is completely different from last season seem more confident although there are still some weaknesses but overall it's fine slowly they will find a more suitable playing style, on the contrary, Liverpool looked a bit different I mean less aggressive as you said 13 shots only 1 on target fortunately that one managed to become a goal but overall Liverpool is not optimal, maybe because it is still the first match.

In another match Brentford drew against Tottenham, as I said before when Brentford conceded 1 goal but after seeing their efforts in attack I guess both teams will draw and yeah the final score is 2-2 not bad for Tottenham who just left Harry Kane.

I see from the perspective of attackers from both teams in this match where Chelsea seem to have yet to find an attacker for their goal machine this season. Because jakson still hasn't provided accurate certainty about his contribution if we see him playing in his first game this season. On the Liverpool side, Gakpo, who previously or last season was the center forward in the Liverpool squad, but his position in the first match of the season was shifted to become an attacking midfielder to help feed Diaz and Jota. Yeah I also see the same thing in Chelsea there is an improvement in their game but if we talk about the top 4  I think we should wait because there are other clubs that are more worthy there Manchester City, Newcastle, Arsenal and we are still waiting for Manchester United to play they will play today against Wolves and it shouldn't be difficult for Man United to win, I mean no need to rush to determine we have to wait until at least mid-season.

Several important matches will occur in week 2 strong teams will face each other to win 3 points or only 1 point like Manchester City vs Newcastle and Tottenham vs Manchester United.

Ben chilwell was almost. The attacking line was not as good as when there was a good player like nkuku which has a very good in positioning. Chelea was just using new squad and many of its players are still new while liverpool had used 87% the same squad as last season. Chelsea will able to perform even better. I remind you that if pochettino was also doing experiment by using 3-4-2-1 during the match while chelsea was using different scheme during the pre season matches when nkuku was still there.

It's pretty much the same as chelsea but there will be some new players to come to the stamford bridge. Moises already locked, Olise and lavia gonna be the next target.
It will be pretty interesting to see how this club will be doing better and better from time to the time. The regeneration is real now. Chelsea needs to sell some remaining players to add more budget to its pocket. The club is now having so many cash raised from selling the players.

Chelsea needs to add more players to the club as soon as possible.
