Burnley is a good team that defends really well and will probobly park the bus against City. So i think that Man City will break them in the second half and score two or three goals. Still a good odd on Man City and Over 2.5 goals so that will be my pick for this match.

It has been a year since last time of burnley faced manchester city in FA cup. The citizen was destroying burnley with 6-0, the last time burnley faced manchester city was in EPL 2021/2022 before it gets relegated to the championship.
Over 2.5 goals actually make sense. As long as city will be using a proper line up and burnley can be destroyed again by haaland. The match may end with 3-0 as the final scores.
Burnley has no superior squads like city, it will be a suicide strategy for burnley if the club was not playing defensively against manchester city. City is too strong, and it was the best club in the world.
Burnley can only fully defensive against city.

Despite how Burnley play way better under Vincent Kompany, they have a better chance playing the all out defense and counter attack than going toe to toe with Man City in a possession battle.
Manchester City loves when the opponents comes out to play, when the opponents is not defensive. This leaves aot of spaces at the back.
Burnley don't have the quality of players Man City has to pay that kind of football against them and win.

I would really love to see how this Burnley team does this season. This is a team that have always played the ancient traditional football of FBs that are actually defenders and just defenders, not players that join in the attack. They were not used to the modern football style of playing football but Kompany has changed that and it has worked so far. They won the championship last season. One thing I'm looking forward to is how they play this season. Would they turn out to be a force like Brighton or they'll just be another Sheffield United.

Yes, it doesn't matter what strategy Vincent Kompany will implement against Manchester City in the first match of the Premier League. Manchester City is a team that is ready to face all kinds of opponents regardless of whether they want to play some good football or just want to hang around the defensive area until the game is over.

The fact is that Manchester City only needed 1 goal to win the match if Burnley played with a total defensive strategy. The consequences of playing with high tension in defense will not always be good for trying to get points from more dominant opponents, it's too risky if players make mistakes when anticipating attacks. I think Burnley will lose, but I'm sure a lot of people will be happy if Manchester City loses.

Footballer play for the money, nothing matters, Chelsea were Romancing with Caicedo transfer , they were not sure of him, they wanted him to be the last hope if the other players of their choice don't work. and Liverpool after losing two of their keys midfielders to the Saudi Arabic clubs, needed immediately replacement and Caicedo is the option available. Big lose to Chelsea and a big gain to Liverpool.

I have a problem with Brightons valuation of their players, Chelsea have been well interested in sealing this deal, but Brighton were asking for too much money imo, i don't think Caicedo is worth the amount that Brighton were asking for him. Liverpool are in desperate need of midfielders and that's prolly why they didn't mind hijacking this deal from Chelsea, but £110m for Moises Caicedo is just absolutely insane.

Having said that, i don't mind if Chelsea missed out on this player, i think they should go after more affordable options, but with the way the transfer market is going, sooner rather than later, there'd be no decent player who will be affordable.

Considering the amount of money that had been spent on this player, I genuinely don’t think that Chelsea is actually going to feel sad losing the player to Liverpool. For 110 million Chelsea might as well get two more players who are going to play better in different positions instead of getting just one. And Liverpool needed a midfielder very badly. That’s why they had gone for this transfer.

Still I think the money that was spent was definitely a little too much. But Liverpool could spend so they did. I wouldn’t say that Chelsea made a mistake.  Chelsea was just trying to make a transfer which made more sense. After all everyone needs to think about money. But in this case, the need of a midfielder for Liverpool was more than their need of money.

Manchester City should have no trouble getting full points in the Premier League's first match against Burnley, but Burnley will not give up easily allowing Manchester City to win easily at Turf Moor stadium.

If people see that Burnley is under a lot of pressure in this match then I think Man City will also be under a lot of pressure because talking about the defending champion and this is the opening game.

Burnley will play with great motivation and they will try to make a surprise in this match because after all Burnley's spirit is above Man City. Yeah guess the decision has been made and it's all done between the clubs. Not entirely complete though, there is slight things missing as I last checked but yeah agreement with the bid between the club is done and seems like he is set to move to Bayern now. Reports are that it is gonna be a 4- year contract at Bayern which is a long one.

I would say good call from Kane here as he had to make the move to get some achievements under his belt. Finally he can have some trophies before he retires. Honestly he should have made a move years ago. City move would have been great as he woul have PL win under his belt.

New era for the Englishman, he's set to leave for Germany to undergo his medical and his four years contract already set to be sealed with Bayern Munich. Harry Kane currently with his camp and ready to take on his new challenge in Allianz Arena. Tottenham striker, Harry Kane made the right choice to leave Tottenham Hotspur this season, it's very important he gets his career useful. However, spurs new boss, Ange Postecoglou was keen on working with the new striker, but things didn't turned out as planned. Perhaps let's watch out the possibilities of Harry Kane to produce good results in Bayern Munich.

Statistically, we can't deny that Man City is superior in every way and that is a fact. But I also don't rule out that Burnley is a club trying to become a defensive club after they struggled to get into the Premier League. What's interesting right now is the competition for top scorers, of course there will be new names as the composition of players at each club changes after the transfer market. Halaand will have a little freedom to become number one on this list, and can repeat his achievements last season. That is most what lower level teams do against City. They try to defend as much as they can, park the bus, and when they get a chance they kick the ball ahead and one or two quick players try to get a counter attacking chance. This is as old as time, any lower level team knows to play this method against bigger clubs, it has worked before and that's why there is nothing else that makes sense to do.

I mean if there was a better method then I bet that they would have done it, but this is best for this game. City will of course end up with a win, I do not think that they have any early season troubles just yet, maybe if players start to get injured because they made a comeback for now, but that's not going to be an issue.

This is the same point i always make to people but they all underestimate burnley, Burnley may prove to be a strong opponent tonight i have also watched them play and they really impressed me with their performance. Manchester city on the other hand are not currently at their best from what I witnessed in the preseason they still need to improve and add some players to replace the ones that left. Manchester City may be the better side but I can’t put my money on them so I predict a draw as well. Though in my gambling ticket i went for first half draw.

It's going to be a very interesting match, and Manchester City will want to do everything possible to win the match so that they can top the table. Those two players which you just mentioned are dangerous players in Manchester city, I'm sure Haaland is going to score in the match, I don't think Burnley defenders will have the experience to hold Haaland down, so I'm expecting goals from him, I don't think it's possible for any defender to hold De Bruyne down from performing well in any match, I'm expecting a goal from any of those two players today, or two of them might even score in the match.

Manchester City are an important team and they have strengthened their defence by reinforcing Gvardiol. Still, I think Arsenal is a team that can compete with them. Both teams had competitive matches last year. Even though Arsenal haven't been successful in their last period, I can say that Manchester City is the most difficult opponent. I think we can see a rivalry between the two teams this year as well.

Arteta will definitely try to compete with Guardiola, but my guess is that Arsenal will have a downturn at some point. You see how Guardiola brings the team to the peak, at the beginning of the season they don't always have the best game, but towards the end of the season they reach their optimal form and I think this is a very correct strategy.

Arsenal, on the contrary, started the season very well, but in the most crucial period, at the end of the season, they lost all advantage, conceded too many goals and as a result lost the championship to City. If Arteta does not change anything and everything repeats again, then most likely the result will be the same.

I think Arteta gained significant experience from last year and will warn his players about this. Manchester City were lucky because last year Arsenal have been losing in the league with huge inconsistencies lately. I don't think we will follow the same scenario this year. If Arsenal takes the lead this year, they will continue to develop various tactics with Arteta to use this advantage.

Yeah Arteta is very experienced, I love the way he handles the club though there performance last year was a but low but  I believe they will strategize,  because when you look at Arsenal players you will see that their future is bright

Arsenal bought new good players in the summer, strengthened the squad, which was already strong. So Arteta has very big prospects now.
Last season Nottingham did not perform very well, the team struggled for survival in the EPL. However, the club stayed in the league and outperformed many more experienced rivals.
In general, the Gunners were powerful last season. Now they are even stronger - I think the Londoners start with a victory.

I think on the contrary, this opening match is an opportunity for City to show the toughness of its squad even though it has been left behind by two of its players, namely Mahrez and Gundohan. and this condition is inversely proportional to the home team, that they are under a little pressure when they host the Premier League champions. IMO, any team that will play against City, must work hard to provide tight marking so they don't concede. if possible, Burnley must provide fierce resistance in their first match. referring to the prediction of the home team's line-up, before that they will apply an offensive scheme. but it seems that there has been a change, most likely they will use a defensive formation with a 4-4-2 pattern. yep, just rely on counterattacks.

Conversely, City also seems to make changes to the pattern with 4-2-3-1. Pep uses another formation. Haaland remains a Target Man, Alvarez is behind Haaland, while Grealish's position is rotated by Phil Foden, Bernardo remains in his position. there is something unique that Pep does, Rodri will partner with De Bruyne. actually, I'm quite doubtful about Manchester City's predicted line-up. but however referring to H2H meetings, City always scored at least 2 goals against Burnley. in the last meeting of the FA CUP, Burnley fell by a score of 0-6. in this match, I remain optimistic that there will be at least 3 goals that will be created.
