If Haney will go back at 135, he will for sure face Shakur Stevenson because the latter will be named again as the current champion's mandatory challenger. There's nothing he can do to avoid that even if there is a politics in-between that makes the discussion quite impossible but since a big money will be involved, both camps will likely have a deal regardless of who will have the purse advantage.

It's fine to watch these both great fighters finally face off inside the ring because this is the time when they don't need to further expand or prolong their discussion about the money unless they want to fully make it a business just like Crawford and Spence, they fought when they have some tremendous amount of offers because the fans are dreaming to see that fight and I guess these two are also heading that way because they are not missing any opportunity that they currently have right now, especially they are at their primes.

The problem with Haney though is that he is going up in weight already. And there are some video clips around that seems to be his father talking and saying that Shakur is really that good that they might not fight him, and also sparring sessions between the two, it might be a old video though.
And that is why Shakur is really pushing for this fight, Haney has all the belt but he wants to move up to 140 lbs and fight Regis. So it's going to be very interesting, as Haney looks like avoiding Shakur at all cost.

Haney is definitely a good fighter. But I think it is a smart decision for him to actually avoid Shakur. And a man is only going to win when he knows about his strengths as well as his weaknesses. And it is good to see that he knows about his weakness and he is approaching his career following the way that will be best for him. I also do not think that Haney versus Shakur is not going to happen. Haney is definitely trying to avoid Shakur.

But of course that is also the reason why Shakur is pushing for the fight. He knows that he has the psychological advantage over Heney.

But if you look at how he should have chase Loma years back and wanted to have a fight with him?
So for me it doesn't really make sense to avoid Shakur, and you are going to fight the best here, so why he is afraid for?
And then they are chasing Prograis but then low balling him?

Both said boxers loved to have the upper hand and so I think as well too that sooner or later, these two will face each other in one ring before their prime ripens out. Hopefully that will happen as soon as possible like when Haney is done having a debut at 140 so that we can answer the questions up on our head and so that we can move-on to the next discussion if who will face who up next. That will be interesting though because Shakur and Haney is so ripe!

Probably, he is thinking that right now he might not be ready for Shakur, but in future he will probably be ready. I bet to be honest it does not seem that he has any plans like that. It definitely feels like he is avoiding that guy totally. If he actually wants to be a great fighter, he definitely should not do what he is doing right now. If you keep avoiding great fighters, you are never going to be great yourself.

But if we actually think about this logically, I think he is doing the right thing. And we all know sometimes it is really hard to find a good fighting spirit after taking a huge beat down. I think he's trying to avoid that at this stage. Assuming he will definitely get a huge beat down if he does agree for that fight.

Fight week already for Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank Jr - rematch.

Here is the final press conference, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSmMnrxZeRc.

If you will remember, Smith knockout Eubank in their first fight 7 months ago. I was never expecting that, I thought that the bigger guy Eubank could have broken down Smith.

But Liam proved otherwise, he talk trash, but he did what he exactly told in the press conference back then.

Odds not yet odd in my favorite crypto sports bookies though.

I don't know if the article that I've read the other day was true but it was said that Haney's camp was avoiding Shakur Stevenson because they believed that it's a risky match for their boxer, Haney, just like Tank Davis's camp is avoiding Shakur because they also believe the same. It's a mystery for me if what they could achieve in this if they go to a much safer path and fight, specially Tank when he's still at 135 together with Shakur.

It has been reported that Errol Spence has activated his rematch clause with Crawford at the last minute. He was given at least a month after their first fight. So in Aug 29, he activated but one thing in the clause is that he can choose whether to fight at 147 or 154 lbs.

I have a feeling though that it could be at 154 lbs, but not sure if the belts will be on the line since Crawford won at 147 lbs. So we will see if this fight happens before the end of the year or early next year.

If the fight happen on 154, it would probably a non-title fight, or the boxing council will look for something to offer the fight with some title at least, just like the upcoming exhibition fight of Manny Pacquiao, if I am not mistaken they will be given a Legendary Champion belt.

I think Spence will get destroyed again whatever weight division they are fighting with.  According to the recent news, Crawford is able to fight up to 168 weight division higher without any problem. Just like the news on this articles stating that Crawford is ready to jump to 168 lbs to fight the winner between Jermell Charlo and Canelo Alvarez:

I agree, it will have the same results as the first one, but we can't deny that Spence wanted to avenge his defeat and definitely he will go to 154 as many observed that he looks weight drain at 147 lbs.

It's not that Crawford is able to fight at 168 lbs though, he said that he wants Canelo or even the winner of Canelo vs Charlo at 168 lbs. We haven't seen him fight at 168 lbs. But in any case, it will be 0-2 for Spence here if he fight Crawford in the rematch.

And we don't know what will be the excuse this time if Crawford beat Spence in the rematch worse than the first fight. Yes, they said that he is somewhat drained at 147 lbs as he has been campaigning in that weight class for years and even Crawford knows that way before they fight.

So I would like to hear what they going to say, Lol, it might be crazy if they think that they can win against this version of Crawford. They have to admit fair and square that Crawford is the best 147 lbs and the top p4p king in my book. He dominated all of his fights.

Anyone heard about Manny Pacquiao coming out of the retirement to compete in the 2024 Olympics in Paris?
It's crazy! well, Manny have done a lot of crazy things before and I don't know how they are going to pull this one up to make it happen when the qualifying event in Asian games for 2024 Olympics only allows 40 yrs old age limit for all of the sport. Pacquiao being 44 won't gonna qualify in the Asian games. Though there might be some arrangements for Pacquiao to qualify in the Olympics but it is for sure going to be the hardest part.

I don't know if he is still qualified though, he needs to go so some qualifying tournaments if I'm not mistaken. And Asiad should be the closest for him since he is from the Philippines. However, if Asian qualifying is completed already then perhaps he is not qualified then.

Yes, and there is age limit too. Unless he pull some strings from IOC and let him fight without going to the qualifying. But for sure some countries will say that they are biased. So it's crazy but I guess it's too late for Manny. And I thought that he is doing this to get golds for the Philippines, but they already got their 1st gold medal last Olympics. So I don't know what Manny want's to accomplished here.

Please provide a link to the source of this information; it would be interesting to know if there's a real chance that he will be able to represent the country. At his current age, despite having retired from boxing already, he still shows passion and love for his country as he wants to contribute. However, he is already 44 years old. I think he should focus his time on making money, such as through exhibition fights, and leave professional boxing opportunities to the younger generation, as they need them for their future careers.

I dig deeper and this is what I found,Manny Pacquiao wants to fight in Paris Olympics

So yeah, probably the rumor is true, but I do agree, let the young generation of Filipino boxers lead the way. If I'm not mistaken, they have gotten Silver as well for their boxers in the last Olympics so maybe now they will go out and bring everything they got to secure the first ever gold in boxing for the country. And it's kinda late for Manny to dream a Olympic medal, he has done so much to boxing, his influence is greater than anyone in the Philippines and other parts of the world.

Personally, I do not mind a great fighter like Manny Pacquiao to perform again. But I also believe that it will be a better decision for them to give the young upcoming fighters an option to fight because they are the future.

But at the same time, we all know that a lot of people are going to show a lot more interest in seeing Manny Pacquiao fight, instead of watching young fighters. So that might be something to keep in mind. Probably the young fighters could have shown something great. If Manny Pacquiao is going to fight, we all know that the other fighters are going to be in the shadows because he will be taking that spotlight.

What is he up to?
Checking out his Wikipedia page, he doesn't even present himself as a boxer with superior records anymore but as a politician. He must have plans to run the country and this Olympics can boost his popularity with the younger generation. Imran Khan was a famous cricketer in Pakistan before he became Prime Minister of Pakistan, sports helped him a lot to get into a higher position in the country. It must be his goal as well.

Yeah, maybe he just want to boost his popularity again, or he really misses boxing and this is the best thing for him again, represents his country in the Olympics and bring glory. But as far his political ambitions goes, he once run for the President in the last election and lost it.

So he had higher goals, but he failed to win his bid. But I don't think if ever he pursue this goal of his to be given special treatment and just be qualified to be in the Paris Olympics. And if I'm not mistaken, he had a son who is also in boxing, so why not just train him if the goal of Manny is to bring honor to his country? At least it will be his son this time.

That kind of passion might convert to another addition to his collections of honor. Who knows if it's for real and he managed to win the gold, that's something that the country will surely be proud of, right? Not sure though if he can really qualify himself, I'm also waiting for additional information since I just saw this from a share post in social media channel.

It will be more interesting if we will see progress and updates with additional info if Pacquiao will be allowed or will really be qualified.

There are still many fans that will support him if this quest will take place.
