I don't know why you guys only discuss between Liverpool and Real Madrid while we're still on top 16 elimination, there's many other big clubs that has higher chance to win e.g. Napoli, Benfica, Manchester City, PSG, AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

Cody Gakpo show a good performance for Netherlands in the world cup, but we don't know about his performance in Liverpool. What if Gakpo is similar like Nunez? Nunez was a sharp striker in Benfica, but he doesn't a same performance when he joined Liverpool.

Changing the team is not always a good thing, going to a better team and failing there doesn't mean you are a bad player, it just means you are not fit for their tactic, you could take Nunez and give him to some other team and he could play amazingly there as well, or maybe send him back to Benfica and suddenly he is not as good as he used to be even there.

It's all about how you use a player, and also there are situations where they are on fire for a season and that's it, it's their best season and you buy them based on that best season. I think Liverpool will take revenge for their previous defeat and this is an opportunity for Liverpool to meet Real Madrid again in the top 16, even though Real Madrid has the potential to win again but of course stay alert to Liverpool's game which might surprise them in the match

It's the most talked about fixture in the round of 16 probably because of the pedegree of both clubs in the competition. This is isn't just any fixture but a repeat of last seasons Final. It's a game between Englands greatest champions league club against the biggest club in the competition. Matches like Bayern against PSG will be breathtaking but this one should be more intense considering how far both teams usually go in the competition. Gakpo performed well in PSV too and he has good statistics for PSV. His performance for Netherlands in World Cup 2022 is a confirmation for his ability and his value increases because of this. I disagree with them by the expensive transfer for Nunez but in the past, they succeeded with many attacking players, Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota, Diaz. They are all good players for Liverpool and did performed well for them.

I'm not really surprised to see Liverpool play like they did against aston villa. Liverpool has displayed such performance against many clubs this season, the only issue is that they are not consistent. It seems that until now indeed he failed to meet the target as a replacement for Mane. If we exclude his transfer cost, he has acceptable performance after several first matches in Premier League in his first season there. Darwin nunez didn't even meet what already speculated by so many parties. Gakpo can slot in as a false nine and with Firmino almost likely to leave I think that's where he will be used more often if Luiz Diaz return from injury. Nunez needs to step up and with Gakpo around is position isn't secure again.

I don't totally agreed many opinion about Darwin Nunez failure with Liverpool trough 15 matches played in Primer League and still have many matches left later. Last night his appearance against Aston Villa he has great contribution how to make space for other player can scoring goals.

I think have possibility with Liverpool attacking line after arriving Cody Gakpo between Salah, Nunez and Gakpo but still possibility with Nunez losing his space if Firmino have consistency performance later. No chance for liverpool to compete for trophy hence liverpool was only aiming for the champion league trophy and entering into the top 4 EPL to be qualified for UCL next season.
