When Chelsea sacked Thomas Tuchel, actually in the hands of Thomas Tuchel everything looked fine. Yes, they did get unsatisfactory results, but that was still within reasonable limits when the season had just started. But the management took an ambitious step by immediately sacking him, and now we see the results, they are worse off than the previous coach. I don't know what's wrong with them at the moment, so it's very difficult to show progress.

What's wrong is injuries, we had about 10+ players that were injuried during the period we weren't getting results and these were players that were in our starting eleven. This is the reason the management panicked on this transfer window to bring on players that can be used in place of this injured players and when this players return form injuries then there'll be a competition on each position so the players can up their games and play to be assured of a playtime at the club.

Thomas Tuchel wasn't any better, that guy took us to 5 finals and we lost two that was better than the other two we won which was the Super cup and club world cup. We lost the FA cup to Leicester and EFL to Liverpool that were very winnable game and this was during the time Chelsea were on their greatest form. Thomas Tuchel is a very stubborn coach that doesn't change his tactic when it isn't going his way. He doesn't play youthful players and didn't have control over the dressing room.

I think the Chelsea team has a lot of work to do. Chelsea have lost the rhythm of the team, there are many problems of understanding between the players. The coach of the team needs to develop some new strategies.

I'm not a Chelsea fan but from my point of view. The problems that occur within Chelsea's body are not that simple. not only midfielders and defense. but as a whole the team, especially the front line which is not too reliable. in fact, Potter tried to make the most of his players, but Chelsea had a lot of problems. unmitigated, 9 core players of whom had to be absent due to injury. not an easy job for Potter, or for Zidan's caliber if he is in charge of Chelsea in the current situation.

Todd, trying to bring in newcomers to get around the situation that is happening within Chelsea. but what Chelsea really needs is not just new ammunition, but the chemistry and mentality that they have to build regardless of how many of their players are injured.

I see Potter has put a lot of effort in, including rotating his players plus tweaking the ideal formation for his team. however, again as I said. it's not easy, IMO maybe Chelsea will reform into a formidable team again in the next season.

that's the plan to recover the performance from chelsea. IMO, the club was losing its chemistry. Potter tried so hard to bring the chemistry back again but some players were not capable enough to make it happen. that's why todd has taken the decision to replace some players that useless for the club. Potter tried to solve the problems that happened with chelsea. I think that if you are aware if it's not only potter but todd was also intervening with the team with his decision too.
Potter has been trying some strategies to make chelsea go up again but it's not yet worked. that may take more time for potter to make it happen with the help by new players.

And to be honest, even if Roma can endure and they are lucky to win 1-0, Napoli will still be the clear favorites in the game with Frankfurt.

The truth is the management has lot to do to see Chelsea up else they will continue with this staggering form and situation. Thomas Tuchel has been sacked new players have been recruiting into Chelsea to improve them but yet they seem no to be headed to the right direction, half way of the season and they look short and not sure of playing European games next season.
Toddy Boehly should sack the present the backing is enough the results are not getting positive ans any better, they still maintain ten position till date.

Management's one big mistake having negative impact on all unit and now things are now under control with Graham Potter is trying to have better results, but it's not working on short run because now if he wants to have better results then surely he needs good players and better strategy which needs time like we have in Arsenal case or if they want quick results like Manchester United they have to be aggressive in their approach and just bring their required players with exit of many players which are not having any contribution in near future.

But I have feeling Graham Potter is not having mind like this for doing all things aggressively he will take time, and then we will be able to have better results even we can lose few things in this season or have no chance for the next season's Champions League spot as well because this all is hanging around and time is running out quickly.

There is no doubt recently Chelsea having big mess up specially after sacking of Thomas Tuchal because now new coach is trying to off load all players which were bought by him and bringing his players which can give him better performance and results even this all is not easy and needs time with waste of good amount as well but if they are going to have better results and taking back their top rank this all could be amazing and no headache for the management as well because they need good results and wins which are possible just with the quality performance and good players.

Right now, time is running out quickly which is also issued for them because currently they have few days before they are going to face Borussia Dortmund which is having good start in Bundesliga and things are looking interesting for these both teams before this big class hopefully fans will be able to have good soccer.

Chelsea have easy opponent on next round than Liverpool against Real Madrid, but not guarantee after success qualify to quarter final easy team are opponent for Chelsea. Despite later success eliminated Dortmund I don't sure with Chelsea potential will lead to semifinal after inconsistency performance in Primer League. Have spent much money for transfer but Chelsea can't back to the top fourth standing in Primer League and have the same situation with Liverpool. Dortmund success won last match in Bundesliga and Chelsea be careful if want qualify to next round they have back to the top performance, enough with inconsistency and most goals conceded in Primer League to make better performance in Champion League round 16 held on middle February.

But seeing Dortmund's revival in their few matches in the regular league it looks like it will be a problem for Chelsea. Moreover, the first leg match will take place at home to Dortmund, of course that will make Chelsea very depressed and the possibility of beating Dortmund is very small. When talking about Liverpool, they are in serious turmoil because seeing their opponent is Real Madrid, of course, that makes the hopes Liverpool want to continue advancing to the next round of the UCL begin to fade. I don't know much about Chelsea's internal problems so far, because basically I am the same as you.
As far as I know Chelsea haven't impressed during the new owner's switch from previous owner Roman Abramovich to Todd Boehly. Performance issues are problems we've seen so far, but of course it's difficult to put together really solid team during this transitional period.

Even though Todd Boehly squandered money to buy players, it was difficult for them to reach top performance. I know it's a complex issue, but I don't think Chelsea will be better this season but maybe next season. These new coaches and players need time, and I can't expect them to do very well in their first season.

If the problem is a storm of injuries then they should be able to show improvement by now, especially since they have several players brought in in the transfer market this time. The injury storm might have been one of the reasons why they had a dip in form, but that's not the main problem in my opinion. There is still time for them to play in the Champions League. But does it have to be until that game gets underway for us to see improvement in their game? Not so isn't it.

Chelsea and Liverpool are indeed the concern of many observers because of their appearance in the domestic league which is still far from expectations. They changed the coach position from Tuchel to Potter a few months ago and it is long enough to expect for good improvement from Potter. So far I don't see good improvement for Chelsea from Potter and lately they have gotten some new players including an expensive player Mudryk as well as a big loan of Joao Felix. I don't think it is fair to blame all bad results on Potter. Other people are responsible for the club performance too from players to his assistants and medical staffs.

To be fair we are just getting to mid season and Potter didn't become the Chelsea coach immediately the league kicked off, so far I see little improvements but I believe with the current new signings there will be some changes in the team’s performance after the window. Just like you said the responsibility of improving the team doesn't rest of the shoulder of the coach alone, every player and staff also have a role to play in improving the team

I'm not sure if this is what Graham Potter wants, or the Chelsea boss. but what is certain is that Mundryk's price tag has skyrocketed, due to Todd Boehly's participation in this transfer market. because, Chelsea brought in newcomers not based on the needs of his team. they only see young players with potential, and buy them. and this is why, I assume that the scenario behind bringing in the newcomers is none other than Todd who wants them.

I admit that Mudryk is a very talented young player, although he has yet to prove anything with Chelsea. his debut during the Liverpool match, we cannot make it a benchmark that he can adapt well. in fact, we have yet to see him play a full team with his new team. what Chelsea needed was a finishing striker, unfortunately Felix's debut with Chelsea did not go smoothly.

speaking of penalties for violating FFP, I don't really follow the developments. but what I want to know is, what will Potter do with his new arrivals and can he capitalize on this momentum, or.
On the other hand, Dortmund have played two matches in the second half of this season in their domestic league and the results are quite satisfying. however, there are still gaps and weaknesses that Edin Terzic must fix, especially the defense.

I have also asked this question a couple of times, I wonder if this transfer targets Chelsea have been chasing are Graham Potter's choices or just Todd Boehly making this selections on behalf of the coach. No doubts some of the signing made are actually talented players but I'm just curious to know if they are all Potter's selection.
