Although buy support is nice to see, to be honest I rather not see it occur quite like this. It appears very pumpy and out of nowhere. A bit of slower growth, or at least some real news to spur sales, would have made more sense than more than doubling in price (at least briefly) for seemingly no reason.

This is better than nothing at all. This shows how the XBC team tries to stabilize the Price in a much comfortable range. This is also in anticipation with the upcoming announcement that will be delivered soon.

Oh, I'll take it, as it certainly is better than just stagnating, or worse. It just seemed really weird. Usually pumps like that occur on some news, even minor news. I am not sure how many were even aware of an upcoming announcement, nor if it even means anything. It could also be that the orderbook just lined up really nice for a bit of a pump. I expect as people move their coins off the exchange (which I guess many have already done), price movement will be a lot easier.  Hopefully the current floor will remain solid.

I would also point out that a lot of people likely have coins in their wallets staking.  That actually could help reduce volatility a bit.  With that said I would prefer a nice big jump back to maybe .02 then we can have slow and steady

XBC team is so solid, good job to Seriouscoin amd the other devs !! I really think XBC is special and it will a nice future !! The only missing thing is a bigger exchange and we are about to hit mintpal soon, so its looking good im also waiting to see news projects from the devs

How long does it take coins to mature before staking? I bought 91 XBC a couple days ago and sent to my wallet but they haven't started staking yet.

Maturity is 1 day. All maturity is, is a "minimum requirement" of sorts to be eligible for staking. Remember your wallet must also be unlocked.

The actual payout of a stake reward is randomly selected, with people that have higher "Weights" getting more chance at payouts.

This weight depends on the size of your balance, the length of time it was been since reaching maturity, and the relative weight compared to the network. With 91 XBC, I would expect a stake payout of two weeks perhaps (judging from other people's reponses).

Simply put, the longer you leave your coins alone in an unlocked wallet, the more chance you have at getting a stake reward.
