CAF has reportedly sack Doue

In case you don't know who Doure is, Doue is the Director of Refereeing who officiate the finals of Women's Africa Cup of Nations finals.

My question now becomes why would Doue be sack by CAF? Is it a crime for Super Falcons to win the WAFCON for this time around, for the 10th time? The Moroccans complaint about Nigeria winning the trophy shouldn't warrant for this Doue sack.

CAF made a decision they feel is good for them, but I don’t think it is the right decision for them and it might affect their credibility in the world of football because I see no reason why Desire Doue will just be sacked just because he officiated the women final.

I know that there is a controversy in the final following a penalty decision that was denied after VAR review. I think the decision not to award the penalty was made by all the officials not only Doue, but the Royal Moroccan Football Federation reported to CAF and CAF decide to sack the referee which is very bad.

What does CAF want us to believe now? They want us to believe that money and influence can made them to make some decisions they don’t want to. This decision will affect a lot of referees because they will also not be comfortable to doing their job because they will be afraid of being sacked.

I can understand the decision of CAF to sack Desire Doué who was the Director of refereeing, maybe as a senior referee he isn’t expected to make such errors and they were quick to respond to maybe use him as an example to other referees. What I don’t know is if the situation was properly investigated cause there weren’t very bad or damaging errors in that final match, maybe in the course of the tournament he’s made a lot of errors and bad calls for a referee of his caliber.
It’s a good one in a way that a complaint from a team was quickly responded to and decision made straight up, they should keep up with the energy

I have been asking myself this same question as well. The Super Eagles aren't putting up with expectations, but rather the female team is the one bringing victory and trophies to the nation. Although the Under 17 to 20 male team is doing us proud but we still need the senior team to put more effort into their games.

I don’t really know what’s wrong with the super eagles, the super falcons are the only ones winning trophies for us, they are the ones making us happy. With the squad which the super eagles are having, I don’t even think they are going to be finding it difficult winning trophies for us. No African country have the kind of squad which the super eagles are having, but I don’t know why they can’t even win the African cup of nation. I don’t really know what’s wrong with them, maybe the problem is coming from the management, the coach or even individual players. Seriously the super eagles will just have to improve their performance, they are really performing below our expectation.

So far, amongst the African team, the Super Eagles have the most exposed and experienced players playing with big teams well known in the world, and they are doing perfectly well at their club side but when it comes to national team, they seems to fumble alot, raising concerns and questions about their performance and expertise of their coach. It pains a lot to have high expectations based on the fact that you trust the team to deliver as a result of the calibre of players in the squad and the club side team they play for, but in the end, they keep messing up and coming home with nothing.

Concerns about how they are being treated by the football governing body of Nigeria are something I think bothers a lot. The coach isn't the problem, though, because any coach can lead a team, but are the players properly taken care of, and does the NFF take the welfare of the Super Eagles seriously? because these are the little things that motivate them to do more, and also putting effort into their games.

This game just ended Sen 1 : 0 Nigeria with a whole lot of errors from the Nigerian side. The keeper leaving the post into the field for God knows why amidst a whole lot of defensive errors. Nigeria played the ball, got the possession and still lost the game due to careless act from the back side. Senegal now tops the table leaving Nigeria in a very tight corner. The coach has a lot of work to do and also has to emphasize on the players communication with each other.

There is alot of areas of improvement because looking at the game the chain eagles where really appauling and lacks tactics and quality as they where full of errors just as you have rightly mention but this also to show the quality and level of the nigerian professional league we need to improve on the league by investing in our coaches and the infrastructure in the league because the standard of our league is really poor comparing with other African teams

Nigeria 0- Senegal 1

The Nigerian male national teams have been very disappointing this period. Good to know that they are putting up a good performance. I am not following up the game because I don't want to spoil my mood. For now, I am still basking in the joy, pride and glory the Super Falcons and the D'Tigress brought to Nigeria. Anyway I wish the Nigerian team well in the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

I don’t really know what’s wrong with the super eagles, the super falcons are the only ones winning trophies for us, they are the ones making us happy. With the squad which the super eagles are having, I don’t even think they are going to be finding it difficult winning trophies for us. No African country have the kind of squad which the super eagles are having, but I don’t know why they can’t even win the African cup of nation. I don’t really know what’s wrong with them, maybe the problem is coming from the management, the coach or even individual players. Seriously the super eagles will just have to improve their performance, they are really performing below our expectation.

It's not that difficult to understand, actually. It's not rocket science. It boils down to the system. Players excel when they are played to their strengths. The Nigerian national team has not had a good coach in a while, and when they do, you'll see the difference, if they still have good players by then.
We can see that the players are not bad players, and we all know they should be performing better than they do because we know their quality; the only problem is the system.

Even in the last AFCON, where they got to the final, they didn't really play brilliantly in a lot of their matches. They got lucky with individual brilliance and physicality. They were also defensive and it haunted them in the final.  When they get handled by a good coach that has the authority to manage his team the way he sees fit, you will see the difference.
