They have to increase the budget for sports. That is the solution to fix players welfare.

I do not think that the limited budget has ever been the challenge, but if it has been and then that challenge has been solved or sorted out, I believe the next challenge will be the implementation of the budget, that is, the actual use of the money disbursed for the budget for what has been written down. Corruption has really eaten deep into different sectors, and one is our sports sector. Within our sport, not just the NFF, there are people who consider any money the government disburses to fulfill the budget as money to steal and siphon; that is not right.

That's true no matter how small the money that is budgeted for football is our football development must have passed this level that we are as a country in all ramifications which includes welfare of players to administration of the sports the main problem has been corruption monies ment for the sport has always been diverted to personnel purposes there was time where monies went missing from the glass house

How much does Nigeria spend on international duties? If for the players, their respective clubs take the obligation of players reaching their respective countries in good standing to play and return for club matches. One thing i observed in Nigeria and NFF is that they don't value what they have, not just valuing but making good use of it. It's hard to see any Nigerian player being benched in club games, we have the full squad, but why aren't we winning.

Wether you increase on the welfare of the players or not, if we continue to depend on individual brilliance, we are going to keep doing bad in most of our games. It's similar thing that countries like Brazil and England are facing even though theres is even better than ours. Most of these big boys can afford to take responsibility of themselves and still deliver at the maximum. Even though the NFF might be nunchalant with every other thing, I doubt they don't take the welfare of most of our big players seriously. What we are lacking is a team that's truly hungry to deliver well for the county collectively and not one that's just depending on a single player without which they won't perform well.

If we have the only six of our top class players that are really hungry to get the result in the team and the rest are playing that are ready to fight just to get a spot in the national team, we will certainly have better result than what We've been seeing these while. Let's talk about a working team then we can talk about proper welfare of players.

Players like Patrik Schick who was in top form scored twenty one goals while Victor managed to slot in just eight. To show that injury affected Boniface, the club's highest goal scorer Patrik Schick played thirty one games while Victor featured in just nineteen games. I think Victor would have scored more goals if he was fit all through the season.

I like your statement "If" they beat Milan, then Hakimi would be very much qualified to be the next African footballer of the year, cause of his good contribution to his team Paris Saint-Germain in both the Champions League and French Ligue 1 moreover he's already won the Ligue 1 so winning the Champions league would make him the best candidate for the award.

 Failure for his team to win the Champions league, then Mo Salah would be the favourites candidate followed by Hakimi or Osimhen, I believe they might even consider him as runner up before Osimhen due to how relevant his league is compared to the Turkish League, Osimhen has been spectacular this year if only he was playing a bigger team in one of the top leagues.

If PSG fails to win the Champions League it will reduce Hakimi's chances of winning the award. A loss will put the Morrocan player in the same class as Victor Osimhen and Mohammed Salah, who both won League titles. Salah might have a slight edge considering that the English Premier League is highly rated than the Turkish and French League. But in my own view, Hakimi still stands a better chance of clinching the African Footballer of the Year since his club made it to the UCL finals.

I don’t think Hakimi will win it even if they eventually lift the Champions league. Yes he’s been impressive for this outstanding PSG side but his contributions aren’t the best. It’s like when some people were pushing Dani Carvajal for Ballon D’or or FIFA the best, just because he was part of the teams that won both the Euros and the champions league.
Mo Salah is the clear  favourite to win it, by individual performance topping both the Goal chart and assists chart of the premier league for the season.

He might be a defender but I think Achraf Hakimi should also be on the list of best players globally. The Moroccan player has contributed in no small measure to the success of the French side PSG. As a defender has also been scoring some important goals for his club like the one against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. I think he would be nominated as the best player in Africa if PSG finally wins the Champions League.  Mo Salah, Victor Osimhem and Ademola Lookman all had splendid seasons in their respective clubs.

Lookman has been quite outstanding despite rash treatments from the manager after missing the spot kick duties during the champions league knock out stage. I feel like he dropped after all that but still has his head high up finishing as the second highest goal scorer for his club. I'm super proud of him.

Osimhen do not need PR like the one Yamal is having currently for the Ballon d'Or. Victor Osimhen did with a lesser team ( Napoli ), yes? He was nominated for the Ballon d'Or and was amongst the best 10 list of players that season they won the league 1. Well. He needs yo leave for a bigger club and I'd say Chelsea. A lot of African players helped their respective clubs win their league title, and some ended up winning the top scorer in the league they played, which will make it difficult to choose the next African best player because we have so many players who fit in to win the African best player award. I also feel that Hakimi will win the CAF men player of the year awards whether PSG wins the Champions League or not, my reason is because there is politics in football now and for the fact that Hakimi has made visible impact to PSG and won the France Ligue 1 title and also made it to the Champions League finals, it will be a good rating for him unlike Victor Osimhen and Mo Salah that only won league titles and neither Galatasaray nor Liverpool made it to the finals in the European Competitions of the Europa League and the Champions League. I even doubt if Victor Osimhen will be given the award despite his immense contribution to the Super Eagles and his club Galatasaray and for Mo Salah, he also made great contributions to Liverpool in the Premier League but it's not fair enough to crown the award to him. Hakimi indeed will be CAF favorite to win the African Footballer of the year.

However my pain is when a local based player is injured, they are left to their fate, the NFF don't even do a follow up on most guys that had injuries with the U-17, U-20, and the local based super Eagles squad, and these are uprising careers you don't have to joke with, unfortunately these young men will now use their personal money to start sorting out themselves.

Don't also forget Lookman impact to his team, we're getting good quality strikers from African this days but my problem with all this is that they're not playing in a top club that can make them compete for better trophies that'll put them in the eyes of the world. Imagine this was the premier league and champion league that Osimhen is doing all this, he'll be getting better shout out for the Ballon d'Or as Lamine Yamal has been getting lately without having as much impact as other players. To win personal honours, you need PR more than your show working. With the right PR and your little efforts, you'll go places that you didn't imagine and that's why you need to be in a top club. It's just sad that the season didn't end as well as he would had loved, talking about Mo Salah.

Honestly, Chelsea has become a club where few African players who play there will be able to be successful. Victor Osimhen is a good player, but I doubt very much that he will be able to be successful at Chelsea. Even if Chelsea were to play in the European Champions League, I doubt very much that Chelsea will be able to get far in the European Champions League.

If Victor Osimhen was lucky enough to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona or Manchester City two seasons ago, then he would have had a good chance of winning big individual awards and the European Champions League. but at Chelsea he will hardly win the Premier League, the European Champions League and the Ballon d'Or

It's understandable for citizens to shower their anger on Victor Boniface, cause he gives his all for his club Leverkusen but fail to do same for the Super Eagles, on the other hand it's not actually Victor Boniface's fault cause he gets lots of support from the players at Leverkusen than he he plays for the Super Eagles where his teammates would rather take a shot even though it's not clear than give him a pass or good assist to score.

 Moreover Boniface is not a regular starter and can never be picked over Victor Osimhen who is far better and the best option for the top 9, well age is still on Boniface side, and if he keep improving and doing better whenever he's given a chance in the Super Eagles squad, I think he'll be a better replacement for Osimhen when he's not available.

Bro, what does the Nigerian female team have to do with the UEFA Champions League, which is a club competition. It is Arsenal that beat Barcelona 1-0 in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League in Lisbon, so congratulations to Arsenal's women team for winning the Champions League again, after a very long time.

I think for Ten hag being rumored on Bayer Leverkusen might only remain as rumor because other clubs saw his reputation on Manchester United and is not something a team that has already gotten themselves together will hire him for additional improvement because he might not achieve that, though Bayer Leverkusen might not be for him the way Manchester United is but his abilities in the club has giving fear in terms of trusting his credibility, so for now i think instead the Como coach should be the right man for the job because Como has also somehow done well under his care.

Indeed African players are representing the continent on a high level this days. Players like Ademola Lookman, and Victor Osimhen have been representing Africa globally and it is a good thing to witness. I think it will make more sense if these players play for bigger clubs for example if we can see Osimhen move to one of the top clubs in the EPL and competing for major titles and awards it will really boost our rankings in the world.
