However, if most of us sees so many reasons why Hakimi should be giving the best CAF player of the year then he deserves it. The journalist should make their analysis properly and give who deserve it. Anyway, Osimehn is still on the line here.

He didn't deserve it last year, but I suspected that his time would come because he kept improving. Victor Osimhem had a good time in Turkey but Hakimi achieved more and contributed to his club's success this season.  He deserves the award, and not giving will mean that electoral fraud occurred.

Hakimi is a defender, and no defender has performed the way Hakimi did for PSG this season, so he deserves to win the African best player award. I know Mo Salah and Victor Osimhen also performed well this season, but Hakimi has what Mo Salah and Victor Osimhen don't have this season, which put him ahead of Mo Salah and Victor Osimhen in the race for the African best player award.

It is great for African football that these stars have shone so brightly and it would make the award ceremony even more interesting and anticipated.

That said, i don't think Osimhen stands a chance this time, he was exceptional, but in Turkey, which is not among the top five leagues. IMO, the competition is between Salah and Hakimi and i believe the Moroccan is going to get the award this time, he had an impeccable season, if Salah and Liverpool had prolly gone further in the CL, then he might have stood a better chance.

The electorate in charge of the CAF Africa Best Player Award won't like to do any electoral fraud in this, to deny the eligible player the award, to award it to someone else who didn't have a passing mark in all the statistics that was set aside for the pick of the Africa best player award.

If Hakimi merits the award this time, he will have it without delay or drag with anyone. As for being robbed of it, is the last thing that will happen. CAF won't try such, to give a bad name for themselves

Was there any player who has won the CAF award back to back? Because I have always seen only one player each season, whenever a player won it before the following season another player who were not up to the previous winner standard will be doing better instead, after Victor Osimhem won he couldn't on the next time and even Ademola Lookman after winning previously his name was not even mentioned for ones on this season because he has also backslided a bit. However I don't no if Hakimi is the best among all the names but if they said so definitely they should give him, besides is not easy keeping your name to appear consistently on CAF award.

Hakimi is a defender, and no defender has performed the way Hakimi did for PSG this season, so he deserves to win the African best player award. Hakimi won the biggest trophy compared to the three player competing for CAF awards. They all won trophies, important ones in their domestic league, which puts them ahead of other players, giving us a good scope to make our comparison among the three sides. Hakimi truly deserves the CAF player award, followed by Osimhen in my opinion, Salah should come last despite winning the Premier League. Defender or not, Hakimi is a regular starter for the club, he doesn't miss important games, and in all matches his performance is felt on the pitch, he deserves the award.

This is a tough one to decide because all three candidates have been tremendous this season. Take a look at Mo Salah this season he has been really impressive for Liverpool and played a crucial role in the team’s league success, how about Hakimi who won the trebble with PSG this season and Osimhen who pushed Galatasaray to win their league title. In my opinion I think it should be given to Hakimi this time because he tops them all in overall performance.

Not using the main squad is actually not an excuse because the players in that field are also looking for way to brake into the first team, therefore, the badge worth playing for, and they still have the chance to comeback into the game because we still have more than 30 minutes in the game.

I just check Russia’s last five match results, they are very good, they won their last five matches which simply means that they are very good, therefore I think Nigerian players should put in more effort in the match because they have all it takes to comeback even though some of these players are somehow new to the squad.

Nigeria was under pressure and Semi Ajayi had to score an own goal. The Super Eagles have less than thirty minutes to level up and at least get a draw. Nigeria has won their last two game against some average sides. We were hoping that Nigeria would grab this win and make it 3/3. But the Russian side is not playing badly, and they have the massive support of the fully packed stadium. I hope they will come for a return leg in Nigeria.

The game finally ended 1-1, the best score line to have from this game. Russia was more aggressive in this game than Nigerian players, the number of fouls committed in this game was more than a normal game in a tournament, both sides took the match serious, equally the points was shared at last, an own goal from our side and their goal keeper giving a short pass for the Nigerian player to retrieve and set the ball at the bad of the net.

The match doesn't seem important to the coach, just a friendly and only opportunity for the majority of players who featured today to play on the stage, when international matches begin, the top squad of the Super Eagles will make the starting lineups.

This reason shouldn't be a base ground for not winning the match, and besides haven't we see where a team that did not use their main squad and yet they won they game? People judge your performance not only when it comes to real competition but also on friendly matche cases too, if the Super Eagles team wants to be relevant on the international game level ,They should remove any form of excuses because there's no excuse for failure.

This is basically a friendly game, it doesn't require all the senior players to be present, and you also have to know that friendly games like this is where coaches get the opportunity to test run some players who doesn't play on international matches, and by so doing he can identify a particular player who can do well when given the privilege to play on International matches so am not surprise if the regular players we know didn't feature in the match but i like how the match ended because the Nigerian team equalized the score and it ended 1:1. Actually, i like the energy and comportment of the Nigerian team because immediately they conceded in the first half they became more careful in the second half and got an opportunity to score, and they delivered. As for Nwabali, i think he is still at the funeral arrangement of his late parents which will take part at his hometown tomorrow.
