I just rewatched the ending of Benfica Vs Chelsea. We all thought that the remaining 5 minutes when the game was suspended was just a formality, but Benfica was awarded a penalty in the stoppage time. I can't imagine the pressure that Di Maria must've been under with that penalty. I think he executed it poorly, but he was successful.
But it wasn't a comeback story the Benfica fans were hoping for. Playing with one player advantage, the extra time was just a total dominance by Chelsea, who scored another 3 and left no doubts who deserves to be in the quarterfinals.

In the next round, Chelsea will face Palmeiras, where the English club will be a favourite, so it's all stacking up nicely for the Blues.

Sadly for the local football fans, the host, Inter Miami, got demolished by PSG 4-0, meaning there are no US teams left in the tournament.

I was also surprised how the PSG and Inter Miami game changed in the second half. PSG were relaxed in the second half, and they were not bothered to score more goals against Inter Miami in the second half like the way they did in the first half. I later realized PSG wasn't bothered to score more goals against Inter Miami in the second half because they had already sealed their win against Inter Miami in the first half, and there was no need for them to kill themselves in the second half to score more goals when they could just defend their 4-goal lead against Inter Miami and reserve their energy for their quarterfinal game.

Only a fool would doubt PSG's qualities just because they lost against Botafogo: let's not forget that if we take a look at the statistics from that match PSG were supposed to score several goals. Of course the Brazilian team still won, and that is what matters at the end, but it's clearly been an unfortunate result, that's it. And of course it's not fair (nor logical) judging a team by a single result.

It’s surprising that some people were thinking PSG won’t be able to win inter Miami, and some people were thinking inter Miami will give PSG difficult time in the match. I knew the match was going to be easy for PSG, we can’t compare PSG squad with inter Miami, do you expect Messi and Suarez to do everything on the field, and those two players are already old, so I wasn’t expecting anything from them.

PSG were able to score 4 goals in the match, and all the 4 goals were scored in the first half of the match, seriously I was expecting more goals from PSG in the second half of the match, but unfortunately they couldn’t score any goal in the second half, the 4 goals which they scored in the first half was enough for them.

In any sports, we really can't predict what will gonna happen next. But of course, we have some sort of predictions as to what the game may look like because if you know the team well, you would surely have some sort of idea where the game will head at. PSG is a well-known team and we know how they perform in the field. However, there are still some factors in play that can change their narrative inside the arena. The actual condition of the athletes, the environment and so on are just few factors that may contribute in the change of narrative.

It was a very easy victory, PSG has a good attack, they are candidates for the title, With the good defense they have had, they need to pray to find weaker opponents in the next games, that way they will save energy by having victories and will be able to become champions.

Fair enough result, PSG can easily beat Inter Miami. I think PSG victory is in line with the predictions of many bettors, where before the match started, PSG was indeed much more favored. Messi, Suarez, Alba and Busquets are too old, they can't do much to help their team beat PSG, that's understandable. In addition, regarding PSG journey in the future, they will most likely go through a steep path, PSG will likely face Bayern Munich in the quarter finals and face Real Madrid in the semifinals.

I am watching the match and Flamengo is putting up quite a fight. Flamengo has 2 goals to Bayern Munich's 3. Bayern Munich have to be very careful that they don't equalize soon because if they do, it's going to be too much pressure on Bayern Munich. Wow, a large fan base by Messi and Suarez but couldn't buy tickets to fill up the venue in the opening game until FIFA reduced ticket fees and even did a giveaway of buy one ticket and get 4 free, lol. Although it's true that PSG is the favourite in the game and most people expect PSG to demolish Inter Miami but the truth is, sometimes the games we expect to happen like this sometimes doesn't. PSG might not really perform the way some of us except. In a nutshell what I'm trying to say is that anything can happen, it's football.

Anyway, anything  can happen in football. Many times we see the favorite team lose, the underdog team win. Something like that can happen in this match. But Luis enrique will want to win the fifa club World Cup title. This season, PSG has won all the titles on all the platforms they have played. Even if the FIFA Club World Cup title is not that important, though I think Luis Enrique will try to win that title too

The amount of people filling the stadium is not all about fanbase, a player can have a good fanbase but the price of the ticket could be a hindrance to why his fans are not present in the stadium to show support, I think that's why FIFA had to reduce the price of the ticket to a fair amount that a good number of fans can afford.

If Messi and Suarez had a good fanbase as he insisted then their games would have had the highest attendance so far. Talking about huge ticket fees. Hope you realise the fee was reduced to the nearest minimum that it was even buy one and get four free yet the total attendance for that very opening match wasn't up to 61k spectators. This is now their territory but they couldn't boost of highest attendance recorded in the competition.

Flamengo will not win this match. Even so, the team is performing better than I expected . Flamengo is trailing 3-1 at the end of the first half. Flamengo needs to be appluded for the level of performance they are putting up against Bayern Munich tonight, one would have expected Bayern Munich to seal the game when they were leading by 1:3 but Flamengo scored the second goal and still dominating Bayern Munich just to come back in the game.

If Bayern Munich don't do something to buckle up and defend effectively Flamengo may end up defeating them if they come back in the game. It's 70 minutes played already and Flamengo can still win rh game or they equalize before 80 minutes.

Flamengo against Bayern Munic still remain one of the most interesting match in this competition. Both teams are highly motivated and even when Flamengo were two goals down, they were not discouraged but kept pressing on as they should amidst the warm cheers of their huge support. The match is 73 minutes and Harry Kane have remained a nightmare to Flamengo as he just scored his second goals to make the match two goals to four. I don't think Flamengo would  cancel these two goals lead.

I think Tomas Aviles can claim to be the worst substitute in the championship. Terrible substitution, because the second goal was scored by PSG from his zone and now he decided to score two goals himself in his own net to surely deprive Inter Miami of even theoretical chances to win this match.

The surprising part of this match is that Flamengo has more ball possession and shots, but this didn't reflect on the scoreline. We are gradually seeing the weeding out of low-quality sides. It is becoming clearer that the European sides are better. Europe's elite teams will not embarrass themselves on the world stage like that - even if they lose and fail, they will do so with dignity. Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, Palmeiras have already qualified - while Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter, Dortmund and Juventus will have to fight for their places. Real Madrid are favourites to make it to the quarter-finals ahead of Juventus - but I can't completely underestimate the power of Juventus.

Palmeiras are the only non-European team to have progressed to the next round - the others are unlikely to progress given the opposition they faced. Fluminense, Al-Hilal and Monterrey are all likely to fail at this stage - I don't think they have a better chance of progressing to the quarter-finals than their opponents.

I think if you know football, then probably you should also know that one man can't do all things. Messi is GOAT but it doesn't mean that he has many legs or arms to utilize all the positions at the same time, whether it's a defensive job or keeping or midfield. You mentioned that if Messi had a good fan based as he insisted things would have been different, did he actually say that on the match or it was just the fans that was saying that. However do you notice that Hakimi immense performance on PSG got higher after Mbappe move to the Spanish club?, because all the PSG matches have always have the mentioning of him, meanwhile today was the day Inter Miami left the Club World cup finals stage with a labour that got Lionel Messi disappointed because he thought they were enough to win PSG but now they have tried there strength on the club that is currently holding the champions League.

Bayern Munich won the match on their experience. Won 4-2 without much presure even when it was 3-2 they played the same and trusted in their game. Kane has a killer instict with scoring goals,how he got the ball and shot it right after that its like it was just too easy. Bayern Munich looks good and will see how far they will go.
