Looking forward to getting in on this. Want to start buying hashing power so badly it's burning a hole in my wallet.
You can just go here: https://glbse.com/asset/view/GIGAMINING and buy as much as you want. Get those darn BTC out of your wallet before they melt all of your credit cards. ... how is that anything like a gpumax purchase?

What is the main differences for the buyer when choosing between buying mining shares on gpumax and buying mining shares on glbse? I would assume with the glbse purchase the owner can point their equipment at say a 110% pool or Max and make their cut while paying the share holders a flat payout based on PPS. While someone who buys from GPUMax can point their cannon at a hopper pool and try and beat the odds.

What exactly is a hopper pool? Sorry I don't mine, so I'm missing the terminology here.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3165.0An example of a pool that can be "hopped" is deepbit.

My usual pool was behind in luck so I decided to try the gpumax service and purchased an initial 20000 premium shares using high priority..
Well that was over 7 hours and 40 confirmations ago. How long am I expected to wait for these shares to kick in?
I had a similar problem and they advised me to email their support team or jump into IRC to let them know.

GPUMAX is a nice service, but I'm not gonna use it until there's a EU server, preferably one in the UK for me. Getting too many rejects at the moment with 150ms ping to the GPUMAX servers.
Also, GPUMAX appears to be currently down, getting DDoSed perhaps? Same with eligius I think

My miners are working, website times out with 504 error a lot, but I think it's because just that many people are accessing it.. It works for me enough that I can change the price of my workers. EDIT: 502 gateway error, sorry. And I get the timeout a lot in the morning, it seems more accessible later in the day for me. I was able to update my miners just an hour ago though, I keep getting a timeout since then though.

504 Gateway Time-out
The server didn't respond in time.
The server was working just a few minutes ago, I think it's just overloaded. It also looks like the price to be leasing at right now is ~0.0000389 BTC/share.

Is it possible to set a load-balance/failover strategy for each of my miners (when they are not doing public work)?

You can set failover with cgminer.

Really? Website is fine for me. Hit and miss here sometimes it works others it does not, no matter it always continues to send work to the miners which is the important part I can wait a few minutes until the website gets back.

Is anyone having their hashing power under-reported by 10-20% all the time? My miners read 3.0 Gh/s, but GPMAX always hovers from 2.4-2.8 regardless if I'm doing Public or Private work.

(This has probably been answered before, but I don't have a clue how many pages back it would have been.)
How long is the wait time to signup on GPUMAX? I signed up awhile back (month, maybe two) but never got an invite. I guess they aren't accepting anyone else?

It should vary, sometimes reporting 10% less, sometimes 10% more, depending on your luck in solving shares. How long is the wait time to signup on GPUMAX? I signed up awhile back (month, maybe two) but never got an invite. I guess they aren't accepting anyone else?
Seems to be different for everyone. I waited around a month IIRC.

Way too many people using this service now. Leased work finishes way too fast for it to be viable as a primary income source, unlike how it used to be EDIT: And by income source I mean mining income.. definitely not that feasible to mine for a living
