Are we going to make a pool for Scrypt miners that automatically converts other coins mined into Karma?
this is the best idea, a scrypt multi switching pool that pays out in karma instead of btc, but i think maybe we dont have enough headroom in our coin price to sustain this at the moment

hey everyone, i dont quite know what can be done here, but there is still 0.62gh/s being mined in scrypt, just randomly clicked here http://karm.multi-pool.eu/ where i used to mine to see if i had any coins left and that pool is mining 342Mh/s and globally there is 0.62Gh/s. is there any way to tell these pools to shut down and stop mining and also how do you find out which the other pools are? well looking at the last two block they found 257236 and 257235 , they do not add up to the x11 block explorer. therefore some of those miners will get upset to find out those coins are invalid I looked for a contact link, none on karm.multi-pool.eu. The negative for KARM is if these 192 miners and whoever else is still mining Scrypt fork eventually raise a stink that their mining cycles were wasted... yes awareness of the switch is incumbent on miners but still there will be those who will throw mud on KARM for their bad experience and we could get into a negative press cycle. So I recommend each of us to publicize the KARM X11 switch wherever possible. If we can contact pools and exchanges (I know the Karmateam has done a good job so far) that haven't changed that will be best for KARM! Ahhh yes go back to around page 170 or so where multipool-eu try to insinuate stuff about other pools are only here for the profit and that multipool-eu are here for the long run and they support karma and blah blah blah blah. now they've just abandoned karma without informing their miners (if they in fact are still on scrypt). i had personally hoped they would have done right by their miners. I PM'd them tactfully on bitcointalk... miners will be mad with them and KARM if the pool does not switch or at least warn so hopefully they will act soon.

Let's remember : hide the champagne, the same 6 Satoshi are here Still on the bottom floor:
KARM 0.00000005 BTC, -16.67% on Mintpal
IMO, with a weight of 98 bills, this bird it is too heavy to fly so high ($0.1/KARM will be a true record!), no matter of "engine" type (scrypt or X11)

What blockchain is cryptsy on? I am trying to deposit 1000 KARM as a test. Did not appear anything yet. It more than 30 minutes. How many of you tested deposits/withdrawals on cryptsy/mintpal? Are they on correct blockchain?
mintpal works.. the you get a popup saying your deposit was received almost instantly.. but you have to wait for a few hours before it gets credited to your account. i tried it yesturday I was sending from mintpal to cryptsy. mintpal says confirmed. cryptsy says nothing. Cryptsy had problems with KARM deposit. They fixed it. They are on correct blockchain and I was able to send testing 1000 KARM from mintpal to cryptsy.

Generally, India is the perfect fit for Karma. However, regulatory framework is very unclear. Karma on a btc xchange there would open a new market: https://btcxindia.com/https://www.unocoin.com/our marketing team would need to approach them in a proffesional way.

Have you all made a tweet about X11 and all the latest news? Did you post about that on Facebook? Do you have an account for http://karmashare.me/ - our social network? Did you invited a friend of yours? Did you show to somebody lill.com - KARMA jewel search engine? Have you told somebody about KARMA? Until you answer with yes to those questions, do not complaint and stop whining.

This explorer is popular. Why do we need to create donations funds all the time? KarmaShares LTC owns 9 billion KARM. What are those coins for? OK, dumping them is stupid, but if there is such an important service like cool blockchain explorer for 0.25 BTC/YEAR, those money should be used. That explorer is used by many users, it will bring more attention and more people to KARMA & KarmaShares anyway. Although I don`t like the socoban way of talking, I totally agree with him that fully working block explorer is essential to every crypto and without it KARMA doesn`t look very professional. I have also everyday questions coming like "when are we going to see our shares based on 30 days holding of 10 mil coins"? Share explorer is also essential since KARMA is the first crypto of its kind. I know of 3 middle class investors that didn`t want to put their BTC on KARMA, cause we don`t have working block explorer with cool features. These are value building options that deserves funding from Karmashares LLS fund.

Options have been explored some days before this discussion. Just give the Team a little break after the exhausting but fabolous x11 launch. We build this up, piece by piece. Together, go Karma! Get involved, search for differnt explorer options and offers out there and list them here. This will help to identify the best option. KarmaKaguy

KarmaKaguy I set up the block-explorer because the original dev pulled the plug on all services including the block-explorer. If I had not set that up who knows what had happened to our precious karma. I have a very busy life and so while I had time to setup a working explorer I don't have time to run through other people's code to patch it up. Realise that ABE is a big piece of software and the "official" way to run it is as a fastcgi-process under Apache. There is no way in hell I am setting up an Apache server because it's a resource-hog. Now, ABE _should_ work out of the box on Nginx (another webserver) but apparently it has a quirk (it breaks the search-form). And the API works just fine, which is what i primarily use. I never use the search form. I don't have free time to patch the code. You are more than welcome to see my vhost-setup in nginx and patch the search-form bug. Until then just use: http://karma.explorer.altcoin.dk/block/<block> http://karma.explorer.altcoin.dk/tx/<transaction> http://karma.explorer.altcoin.dk/address/<address> ...to check blocks, transactions and addresses. Sorry if you feel the block explorer is utter shit but....

No problem man... I am really looking forward to the block-explorer with rich-list! I have been trying to get the richlist c++ code working on FreeBSD but I can't compile it (my c++ kungfu isn't very strong). Spent a good many hours on it but unsuccesful. This is (probably) the binary that everyone is using to create richlists... If you run Linux (and have 8GB+ ram) you can compile it and check the richlist yourself: https://github.com/znort987/blockparserThis is what I get on FreeBSD: [root@altcoin_blockparser ~/blockparser.new]# gmake lnk -- parser /usr/local/bin/ld: .objs/option.o: undefined reference to symbol '_ZNKSs13find_first_ofEPKcmm@@GLIBCXX_3.4' /usr/local/lib/gcc48/libstdc++.so.6: error adding symbols: DSO missing from command line collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status gmake: *** [parser] Error 1
I have succesfully compiled it on Linux but I don't have enough ram on my laptop to run the binary. You can msg me if you have trouble compiling it yourself. Edit: if someone gives me access to a dedicated server or a VPS with 16GB+ ram running Ubuntu, I will setup the block-explorer and blockparser for free there. It wil run Apache so search-form is not broken and regularly update a richlist. You MUST commit to paying for it for atleast one year. IT MUST be AD-FREE. It MUST be hosted in a professional data-center, not from home. The DNS must belong to the karmateam so they have 100% control over the domain/site. ...The ball is in your court https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Virtual_private_server

Please stop this discussion... Karma LLC fund is meant to be for profitable business ventures, not for the wellfare of Karma coin... So taking funds from LLC to fix Karma coin is not right according to original plans. If you want fund to fix Karma coin, raise another fund or have some patience till dev's fix it.
