Anyone seen the new single card slot 750ti's on market yet?
I'm thinking of going six 750ti, will 1000W PS be good enough?

Yeehah won it on ebay

1000W? You will get very low efficiency. 750ti requires around 40W/card. Do not increase power limit in gpu's bios.
If I were you I would replace the MOBO. x1 PCIe slots has performance penalty because ccminer uses off GPU target checking, therefore you will get high PCIe load.

I'll stick with the 280x then, I can safely run three on 1000W?

Will add another PS for additional cards ...

I run 2x r9 290 on 750W. I suppose 1200W would be better for you. But don't give up your 750Ti plans. It has much better efficiency(hash/joule) than 280x, lower price drop over time if you would like to sell it in the future, generates less noise, has lower temperature(usually <65 celsius), etc..

Can I just say that the 750Ti has been talked up way to much!! you might as well use a GT640 single slot!! the gtx 660 which is end of line will smash the 750Ti for the same price,or slightly less! also looks much nicer in an open case!!!!!

i would not buy any GPU that cant offer the hashpower/watt ratio a 750ti have
go with 6x 750ti and sell ur 280s

a 1000w PSU is nice so u can consider also add some asic to the system later on use the same psu

@reggie0 i use 6x 750ti on that mainboard and have no penalty at all from pcie x1
example DMD groestl mining 7.5 mhash each card  x11 2.7 mhash x13 2.1 mhash

hi I am a mining noob but I decided to try mining this coin on the multi pool and now I have questions

how long are the coins Unconfirmed for?
am I actually mining dmd?
my miner seems to think I have mined some dmd coins but the multipool is saying I have mined some btc
the number of btc's the pool says I have mined is not in agreement with the mining software is reporting - whats that about?

I second cryptonit's comment on 750ti's.  I have been running (10) of them for about a year now and love them.  They each run around 8mh/s.  I have (2) rigs one with (6) 750ti's and (1) with (4) 750ti's.  I have the (6) running on a 1000 watt Rosewill PS and on that rig I also run (1) gridseed blade and (4) gridseed orbs.  No problems whatsoever.  I burn approximately 700watts with the (6) cards, mobo, asics.  Not bad at all.  I use powered usb risers and lose no power whether on 1x or 16x.  It just doesn't matter.  Go with the 750ti's.  I am waiting on the next revision of the Maxwell processor :-)

Just had a look at ebay for current prices on 7950 and 280x.  Not really worth selling the AMD cards (would take a huge loss).
Revised plan: Run both 280x and 750ti in same box for now.  Slowly phase out my AMD cards and go with 750ti (adding 1 or 2 a month).  One 280x already re-purposed for use in entertainment box. (Mining on it when not watching movies) Smiley

I tried it about 5 months ago and there was penalty(~5%) with multiple ccminer instances and around 7% with single ccminer. Maybe ccminer has been improved.

Thanks.
It looks like the new card is still slower than an r9 290 on most algos, but draws half the power.
So it's better as hash/watt but worse on $/hash.
Now it is down to the developers to get the best out of the card ;-)

but the electric bill  wow  750ti beats them all  but  28nm technology is out so the 750ti and the rest will die off for high efficient mining  imo  Smiley

Scrypt and Scrypt-N is slower because of lower memory bandwith, but groestl and other algos are faster. For example groestl runs at 20.5MH/s on R9 290 (and 24MH/s on GTX980).

Wrong, r9 290 runs at 25 :-)
