Trying to send some XMR. Using same command line as always and it is not working. Using v0.10.3.1

Transfer 4 <address> 8.55

Error: not enough outputs for specified mixin_count 4. Do I need to increase the 4? I have tried lower with a fail. Did not try 0.

EDIT: 6 did not work. 20 did not work. I'm confused.

And it's an integrated address I'm sending to

try sweep_unmixable

or sweep_all

I tried sweep_unmixable 0.58+ XMR for a fee of 0.0006+ XMR. If I am sending it to myself where did it go? It's gone from my balance. Did I just lose ~ 0.6 XMR?

EDIT: Never mind. It just came in. Thanks for the help!

Regarding the fact that Monero is not outperforming other cryptocurrencies.

Trust.

It is most likely better.

More private.

More secure.

Maybe if we could throw around some big-boy transfers -- to show that we can.

You know we can.

Right under the radar.

Take the hot-rod out for a spin.

Agree on first 4 points but are you suggesting we just send each other large tx's and trust anon people lol? Nice idea but I hope you are kidding. Cheesy

Would there be any interest in me adding Monero as a payment instrument on my poker chip website cryptochips.net?

If so, does the QT wallet support RPC?

You probably have to use the CLI, see:

https://getmonero.org/getting-started/accepting

or:

https://github.com/TheKoziTwo/xmr-integration

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency

Is there even a QT wallet? I have an already defined system for generating and using multiple wallets that works very simply with QT based wallets.

There is a qt wallet, but it's not a bitcoin clone. I don't think Monero GUI/qt accepts RPC commands, you need to run monero-wallet-cli, but even then the RPC commands are not exactly the same as regular bitcoin clones.

Chips look nice, btw.

Not suggesting sending Monero around, for fun.

Suggesting instead to use Monero where possible, rather than Bitcoin etc.

For over 20 years the Fidget Spinner was a no go.

Last year it took off. Why?

People wanted it. That's why. For no good reason at all. It was just cool.

I mean why would you willingly allow everyone so see all of your transactions -- like with Bitcoin?

Or invest in "people pile" like Dash, to sucker you in?

Or desire "smart contracts" when there's an "app for that?"

I would buy some. (Adverts belong in the marketplace thread.)

When you have pricing power, requiring XMR payment is one way of using that power for the common good, the benefit of your counterparty(s), and your self-interest all in one go.

By "stuck," what errors are you getting?

If you're in a hurry you can connect your GUI to a remote node instead of waiting for the blockchain to sync: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/3273/how-can-i-use-monero-without-syncing-the-blockchain/3274#3274

Have you tried closing the GUI, waiting 20 seconds, then restarting the GUI?

As for using a remote node, the risks are minimal. You may not be ok with this though...I'm just presenting an option. Here's more info on the risks: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/5myxam/remote_nodes_to_use_or_not_to_use/

If you start and restart the GUI and it still gets stuck, please post back.
