So, I'm setting up a ledger wallet using this guide https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/8op6cp/ledger_cli_guides_requires_cli_v01220/

It requires me to get fully synced before I can setup it up on ledger. Will I need to also sync in the future on ledger or is it one time thing? Also it doesn't seem like typical ledger wallet and I'm not even sure if it does smth for my safety. basically I need to know, is there any benefits of storing monero on a ledger?

Whats the best way to store monero? Is it ledger wallet?

Go with paper wallet.

Monero is quite popular among miners. As the other cryptos continue to fail, Monero will have a much more important place.
Yes I think it's true, Monero was among the powerful, he's sticking with falling market conditions. It's all because of their hard work team and they also have a lot of support with partners who are ready to help.

This recent drop isn't because people are selling XMR but because of Bitcoin's market price changing. Monero is looking good overall with minor drop which happens due to panicked selling. We will always have people among us those react emotionally and panicked to each increase or decrease. This is crypto land.
Whats everyone opinion in the long term of crypto market? looks like the bear market is not over yet?
I personally am pretty bullish. You never know, maybe yes maybe no.

Will monero be the next bitcoin when the bull market returns? looks like atcoins and bitcoin follow the same trend, either up or down
I doubt. Bitcoin is still known far more to general population then Monero. But in the future you never know.

Whats the best way to store monero? Is it ledger wallet? also best way to mine monero? solo mining or joining the pool?
Probably safest ways to store Monero are Ledger and paper wallets.
Probably better to join the pool, since you'll need a lot of time and some luck to get reward on solo mining.

(edited: seems like they moved discussion on official Monero forum: https://forum.getmonero.org/)

I advise you to read OP and check https://getmonero.org/ for starters.

Wasn't a hard fork due each 6 months?

I remember that fluffypony said that they wanted to change the hard fork interval
to once every year once Monero is more mature. But apparently they are still going with
one hard fork every 6 months.

However, the Monero hard forks are usually pretty quiet and don´t
come with the drama that is surrounding most BTC forks or the
recent BCH hard fork debacle  Grin

what kind of partners are you talking about? monero is one of the old coins and it is still popular due to the community. but new investors are investing in new projects.

I guess that is it then. With Malla castle gone there will be no more $100 Monero parties.

Risto went full scammer a year ago, no Monero party would have taken place there in the future anyway.
He still owes me 40 BTC and more than 600 BTC combined to other people. He pretented back then that he could not repay anyone because his paper wallets had been destroyed by fire.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".
